I have had great success at this store in past but after today I will never shop there again! First I brought in a bunch of my son’s shorts and a couple of shirts all Old Navy and Gap and in perfect condition. When I went back was told they’d only take1 shirt, offering me a $ 1.00 for a shirt I’d spent over $ 20 on, and wouldn’t take anything else because of wear and staining. I’m like that’s bullshit none of the clothes had any stains and ½ of them had hardly been worn! Also when I brought my stuff in, I looked to see if they had any size 10 jeans for my son and there weren’t any at all — I couldn’t believe it! Also no one checks the racks there because things are always not on the right racks!

Love this store! I have been buying and selling my kids stuff here since I moved back to the Springs 4 years ago and I plan to give them as much of my business as possible! Kid and baby stuff is soooo expensive this store makes parenthood much more affordable!

This place is a joke. I took two full boxes of my daughters never wore or wore once, three + piece outfits(name brands) for them to look over for more than a day… no phone call, so I went in,& they told me that they couldn’t take anything due to a «foul odor» they didn’t even go through the boxes at all, once hm, I noticed a sticky note on box saying«smoke odor».what?!? Nobody smokes in my house, around my daughter, or anything like that! Better yet, they treated me as if I was below them, 16−18yr old teenage girls. WOW!!!

I found that the prices were decent and the items that were being sold were in good clean lightly used condition. I found the clothing a bit overpriced but to be fair I want to pay .50 cents for a Ozzie not $ 1.50 which I am finding isn’t very realistic. Although the store was cramped it was still decently organized. I would definitely go back.

I’ve been to one in San Antonio, and it was very similar. The only reason it did not get five stars is because I found many items labeled wrong in concern to size. Size 5 shoes were labeled size 6. Other than that, the store is organized nicely, the staff is very friendly and patient. I’ve walked out of the store with gently used winter clothes and shoes for my three daughters. Cheap, name brand, and barely worn clothes, this place is worth the trip. I can’t imagine spending money for clothes on my kids any where else. I bought my girls full school and winter wardrobes for under $ 300, and thats with multiple pairs of shoes, from Timberlands, to skechers, in the mix.

If I could give NO stars then I would. Earlier this year I took 2 big trash bags full of clothes to OUAC and left it there for a couple days for them to sort through, they called me to tell me they were done and I could pick up the money and the stuff they did not want. When I got to the store I went to the register to get my money and at that time the girl showed me what they were gonna take. I was offered 20 dollars and they took about 10 articles of clothing. While I was still there at the store I went through the bags of clothes that they did not want since I noticed that the clothes they did take where piece sets. I did find in the bag the other pieces of clothing that went with the pieces they kept and when I confronted them about why they were taking one piece of clothing and not the other piece that went with it I was told because they don’t buy«sets». After letting that sink in for a minute I went and looked on the racks and found it funny how I saw 2 and 3 piece sets of clothing. There were also clothes that were in really good condition, like my son only wore them MAYBE3 times, and I asked why they didn’t want them and they said because the clothes weren’t in good condition. I thought«I didn’t know the clothes were suppose to be brand freakin new». The clothes that they said weren’t in good condition were in extremely good condition, Im not the type of person to give crappy stained clothes to someone else. I have even bought a few articles of clothing from OUAC that had light stains on them but I didn’t return them, instead I kept the clothing because its secondhand, what else are you gonna expect. I mean if you want brand new then go pay full price and get brand new!!! They are very over priced for being a second hand store. Soooo I just go to Goodwill but only the ones in the Springs not in Denver, the ones here in the Springs are A LOT better. I have better luck there anyways, I mean a Moby Wrap for $ 5 and a Baby Bjorn for $ 7 I believe it was… I’ll stick to those prices!!! So with all that said NO I would not recommend OUAC to anyone, if you don’t want to believe me try it yourself.

This is a great second hand children’s store. Items are clean and its obvious they only take items that haven’t been overly used. All of that works for me! I do not want to go and spend money on items that look like a family of 7 have already used it up. The prices are better than reasonable! There have been some reviewers that are upset about the amount of money the store gives sellers for their items. I understand that frustration but if the store is to keep their prices down they can’t give us top dollar. ANDYES I HAVESOLDTOTHEM The customer service is always great! The only thing that I wish could be different is that some of the parents who shop there either keep and eye on their kids or allow them to play in the designated kids play area. This location is just to small for parents to allow their kids to run and jump through the isle like its a playground.

This is a fun store for those who are looking for a great deal on clothes or toys! I took my grandson(2yrs) in and first words out of his mouth were, «toys, toys, toys, toys, toys!» Yes indeed, the toys were great(and clean), and the clothes selection is pretty extensive and reasonably priced. Can’t go wrong if you are looking for a deal. And while you are headed there, take in some of your kids clothes or toys and make a little CA$H!

Great place to sell and also shop for babies to young teen sizes clothing! I was SO shocked at how much clothing and toys they purchased from me and love that it is not consignment, just resale so they paid me cash right then and there instead of having to wait to get paid like in a consignment store. I felt like the process was easy and quick and well worth my time! The staff was very helpful and friendly as well! I definitely recommend this place! :) Such a clean and organized shopping environment! And their toys and strollers are in great condition! I bought a super cute stroller from here and absolutely love it! Anyone who is looking to sell or buy good quality clothing, toys, books, and equipment, I definitely recommend Once Upon a Child!

This place is an absolute joke! I should have listened the to the reviews and friends that warned me not to go in there, but I wanted to make my own opinion. I took in a bag of clothes, some never even worn, I wasn’t expecting them to take everything, but they only wanted 1 outfit and gave me $ 1.20 for it! They also offered me a $ 5.00 coupon to use on a future visit! I let them keep their coupon and told them there is NO way I will ever return to their store or refer them to anyone else. While they may have a decent selection of clothes there(I didn’t look.) The fact that they advertise that they buy GENTLY used clothes is FALSE! As they put it, the clothes I brought it were«overly loved.» Please save yourself the trouble of loading up and bringing anything to this store. Like other’s have said, you are better off selling on Craigslist or having a yard sale!

I don’t think this is the ‘go to place’ for consigning items if you want to make a buck, but it is a very good place to shop for children’s clothing. The items chance all the time so you get the chance to go in again and again if you are looking for something in particular and you can’t find it on the first go. My friend found really great deals on leather shoes for her little girl. The selection is sometimes limited as thrift stores can be, but she found good brands(Oshkosh, Converse, Gap, Reebok) for $ 6 – 7 tops. That’s really great pricing on leather shoes!

I took 3 large boxes of new(with the tags still on them) and«gently» used baby clothes there and they gave $ 7 for 9 items. Some of the clothes were high end name brands too, like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Clien. 2 of the boxes didn’t even look like they went through as they were still packed they way I had packed them. Not worth the gas I put in the car to take the stuff down there!
