We went to La Bella Vita based on the Unilocal reviews. I’m not too picky about my food but they didn’t hit the mark this night. We had the Calamari and it was one of the worse that I have ever had. I ordered Lobster ravioli, it tasted like someone dumped a ton of salt into it. My wife’s food was pretty good, the wine was good, their service was fair. I really wish it was better, it looked like such a fun place, they just didn’t give it their best, especially on Valentine’s Weekend.

Went back… again. We LOVE this place. Hubby did not want to go out for his birthday. The family wanted some yummy Italian… so, we compromised. Eric and staff put together a family style take out order that was amazing! We ordered for 5 and had a bunch of left overs. Win win. We will continue to get our Italian fix at La Bella Vita!

We ate here for the first time this weekend and we were impressed. I would have rated it 3.5 if I could, but my complaints/constructive criticisms are minor and the food was excellent so I rounded up. The positives: The food was very good. Probably the best Italian I’ve has since I lived in LA. The service was very good. Drinks were constantly being filled, didn’t have to wait more than a minute or two to get our waiter, and he was very friendly and helpful. Areas of improvement: The atmosphere felt like this was an insurance agency office yesterday that was changed into a restaurant this morning. Bland carpet and walls with the same few decorations throughout. Spend a little money updating and this would be a 4+ place. The cost of the food was very reasonable, with a few exceptions. I wanted a traditional pasta dish being my first time here. A side of meatballs was almost $ 5, and came with just 2 on the smaller side of medium at that. With this, spaghetti with meatballs were one of the more expensive dishes on the menu. I will definitely get one of the chef specials next time for a few bucks less. We shared a glass of house wine(wife is pregnant so she could only have a few sips.) The house wine was so good we asked for the name and bought a bottle at our local liquor store so that was a big plus. The portion of the glass of wine however was one of the smaller I’ve ever seen; the size you get at a super fancy restaurant where a side of carrots is $ 18. I swear I’ve been to a wine tasting where I was given almost as much for free. I just felt for being a house wine the portions should have been a little more generous, or at least buck or two cheaper for the glass. When we go back I’ll ask about a corking fee instead and bring our own bottle. The house wine was only sold in 3 Liter bottles for $ 11– that’s less than $ 2.50 a bottle when you do the math so this might be our new go-to wine at home. I had the same feeling with our dessert as I did the wine– Very excellent, but we each had about 2 bites and it was gone. Next time I think we’ll stop at BJ’s ice cream on the way home. All that being said, we’ll definitely be back.

Went here on my birthday and the food was fantastic. Tried the Veal Parmesan and it was fantastic. Service was fantastic, even met the owner/chef in person and he was very nice and he thanked us for visiting. I will definitely come back again!

We tried this place on a whim a few weeks ago. It was AMAZING!!! Their house wine was delicious and affordable, and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the baked manicotti and a side of meatballs and finished the meal off with crème brûlée. Service was attentive, formal, and fast. Give this place a shot-you will not regret it.

Just finished another amazing meal at Bella Vita. The bruschetta was lovely. We had the chicken Marsala and the chicken forestiera. Both were perfectly done, moist and delicious. The crème brule was unique and familiar at the same time. We have dined here many times and have never had even an average experience, every experience is excellent. Even when they have been slammed we have been taken care of. The food is always superb and the staff professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Well done Bella Vita, I can’t wait for my next meal here!

Picked up takeout from here about a week ago and have to admit, we were disappointed. When we got there we waited almost 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, if they had been even a little busy that would have been fine but they had maybe four tables seated. They didn’t want to honor the free bruschetta offer from their Unilocal page(though, eventually they did). My husband’s spaghetti carbonara was tasty enough(sauce was on point) but my linguine was only meh. Don’t waste your money on their dessert either — while the Chantilly cream in their cream puffs was tasty they destroy them by dousing them in chocolate syrup and fake whipped cream. Doubt we will go back.

First of all, my wife and I have been to La Bella Vita 4 or 5 times previously. When we walked in, we asked ourselves«why did it take us 7 months to come back?» For that, I have no answer other than stupidity. Secondly, the service is always attentive and friendly. This is a family owned restaurant which is not always a positive. It is for La Bella Vita. My wife had the Eggplant Parmigiana and I had the Spaghetti Carbonara. Not many places know how to make Carbonara-it often is lumpy or is basically an Alfredo sauce. This place knows Carbonara. Finally, while you may pay a little more than going to say, a chain place like Carrabbas, La Bella Vita is worth it.

The food was fairly good compared to what you would generally find in Colorado Springs. Thought it was overpriced for what we got. The atmosphere was pleasant. The waitress was pleasant but wasn’t very knowledgeable and didn’t offer us the normal things a waitress would be expected to… for example: drinks, a starter, wine etc. and she seemed to be in a rush to take off the plates while we were eating. I would not go out of my way to recommend this place and I’m not sure that I would eat there again. Oh, and don’t ask for pizza, like my 4 year old did… because apparently the chef suggested that we go to Domino’s Pizza. I thought that was kind of rude… even though the waitress thought it was funny. I think even though the Manager attended each table for feedback, the place suffers from inflated ego and will not take criticism.

My friend and I were in Colorado Springs for a couple of days and in the mood for Italian. We found La Bella Vita Italian Restaurant on Unilocal and saw all the great reviews so we decided to give it a try. It was easy to make a reservation and the restaurant smelled wonderful upon arrival. Our waiter Brian did a great job of recommending dishes and paid special attention to our table. Unilocal had a check in coupon for a free Bruschetta with any entrée. We started with that and then had the Chicken Marsala and Rollatine di Pollo. Both were delicious. We paired it with the house Chianti and finished it with the Tiramisu. Would definitely recommend this place!

Very good food and the service was excellent. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is because it’s fairly pricey. If I could I would give it 4.5 stars. Expect to spend at least twenty dollars or more per person and there’s no kids’ menu. My boys loved the food and my dish was outstanding. My hubby tried the eggplant lasagna dish(can’t remember the name) and it was fantastic. Every one of the 4 meals and the calamari are things we would order again. The bruschetta was a bit bland for my taste but tomatoes aren’t in season so I can’t blame the restaurant. This looks like an unassuming place from the outside but the food and service are top-notch. We’ll be back.
