The happy hour deal is actually pretty decent with good servings. It is free if you are staying in the hotel. I didn’t use the pool/hot tub facilities but it looked ok but a ton of kids. So if you are looking for a quiet hot tub for relaxing, don’t expect that relaxation. Our room was renovated which was very nice. The suite and bedroom have a dividing door and the couch had a pull out in case you bring children or a friend shouldn’t be driving after a night of drinking. A bonus is it it close to a few restaurants within walking distance as well as a gas station. If you prefer nicer food that isn’t a chain I highly recommend Margarita at Pine a creek but there are a couple of chain places within about 200 yards, perhaps even less. It is right off of the highway so very convenient but the traffic isn’t noticeable at all. One downside is there was no ice machine on the fourth floor which was a bit inconvenient, especially since the elevator that was nearest the ice machines was out of order. Our room was very clean and checking in and out was friendly and simple. Since we booked enough rooms we also got a room discount which was nice. however, we had quite a group of friends for a Christmas party and some wanted to eat at their in house restaurant and the rest of us wanted to go elsewhere. The friends who stayed ended up joining us because they said the service was super slow and menu wasn’t great. I tried their«special» which was a $ 12 martinis full of Midori and a couple of other liquors. It was insanely sweet and definitely not worth $ 12. A free breakfast is also included and was the standard free meal. Bacon, omelette, cereal, fruit, etc. all you can eat but nothing original. Hey, still a free breakfast.

Great place to stay. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. They’re in the middle of renovations but it is not noisy in any way. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was wonderful as always. The ladies is the restaurant are very nice. I just wish their menu had more options.

Very friendly staff and service. Room was well appointed and clean. Breakfast made to order was filling and constantly refilled. A little slow with the made to order omelets and pancakes but once we got them, it was really tasty. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was clean and fun. Managers reception was definitely an added bonus. House made pita chips and hummus was great. Very close to the air force academy.

We have 2 young children and always look for an embassy suites when traveling. This particular location has a giant sized bedroom that more than makes up for the outdated hotel and small bathroom. The location is also set to remodel in the near future. I sure hope they keep the rooms the same sized. It was a wonderful break away from the kiddos. Our mountain view was beautiful. The only reason I did not give a 5 star review is the fact our room was located over a giant vent that hummed and rattled 24⁄7.

I stayed here for a week during a recent business trip and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is close to the I-25, but wasn’t noisy. I had a room that faced the street. Everyone on the staff was friendly from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. There was a sign at the front desk warning people about altitude sickness and how to combat it, and there was freshly infused citrus water available throughout the day. The selection at breakfast was diverse with made to order omelettes, a hot buffet, pastries, toast, fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. The cocktail reception each evening was a nice perk, and each day featured a different selection of snacks. It wasn’t just the same peanut mix each day. The food at the Polo Club was OK, but there are a few options within walking distance to this property I preferred. The WiFi was reliable and fast. My room was comfortable, spacious and kept immaculately clean each day. The only complaint about the room is that the bathroom was tiny and the water pressure was weak. I used the gym each day and it was adequate for keeping in shape on the road. All of the cardio machines looked brand new, the free weights and exercise balls were in great condition, there was towels, water, and fruit. The fireplaces in the lobby was a nice touch with the April snow and cold. In fact, we had several inches of snow and one member of the staff allowed me to use her personal snow scraper to clear off my rental. That’s great customer service, or a testament to how nice some of the folks in the area are.

Stayed at this hotel for a night with my wife and kids. It wasn’t a bad place but not a good place either. Next time we will try a different hotel.

Old hotel. No plug ins at the bed side. I had to move the mattress out and unplug a lamp to get power by the bed. Tried to call for wake up call… after about 50 rings(not an exaggeration they picked up Had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Green pork chill was good. Wedge salad was meh. It had bacon and tomatoes on it to the extent there were small red and brown flecks in the lettuce.

Walking inside, its like a tropical jungle with the plants and the sound of the water-fountain. But once I walked into my assigned room I found really outdated décor. Two things that weren’t great: firstly the curtains didn’t overlap and so there was a gap thru which light streamed thru and So took me some time to fall asleep as every time I forget and turned to the side facing the balcony, a light would stream across. Secondly walls between rooms are very thin as was woken up by companion using the bathroom air con. I also don’t think the windows were sound proofed or double glazed which meant the occasional honking and road sounds really penetrated thru the room. However service-wise, everything went smoothly and no issues with bedding, unlike the previous Unilocal review. One of my pet peeves is when the drain in the shower blocks and I am happy to report this wasn’t the case here. But I do also wish our room had a better view of the mountains instead of being blocked by the hotel next door. Was very pleased with the food served here, esp as the Crème brûlée at the Polo restaurant is the real deal. You can totally tell its home made and fresh and I loved that the burnt sugar glaze on top was satisfying thick and I could also tell they used good quality sugar cause it took a couple of hard whacks from my spoon to break thru. This dessert was so awesome that it’s actually made my top 3 and the price was so reasonable. I also ordered the chicken pesto pizza and this is huge enough to share with another person. Loved the cheese and the pesto they used. However wasn’t a fan of the chicken — it tasted old and over processed. Went back to the Polo Club restaurant again the 2nd night and along with the lovely service again got excellent food. Whoever the chef is, they have a light and flavourful touch as my Colorado Pork green chili was brilliant hearty and had lots of pork chunks and was the perfect heat level. The sauce for my Street noodles entrée was peppery and sour and sweet and hot in a perfect combination and the broccoli was cooked to perfection — an absolute delight to eat. I also got a 2nd entrée– Asian Wonton. Eating this I felt just like what I imagine Tom Chollicio of Top Chef feels when he tells Padma Lakshmi that a dish shouldn’t work, but it does. I only ordered this dish because the server said it was quite good and since her previous recommendations were spot-on, I decided to try this one and one what a beautiful medley of flavours. The wontons were crisp and hot and crunch and the vegetables + cheese were salty and sweet and it was a very harmonious bite. Loved this dish, except again the chicken just tasted off, so I left those pieces to the side. Later for dessert I got the chocolate cake and this was heaven. So happy with all the food choices here sand definitely better than what I was expecting from a hotel restaurant! Morning breakfast omelettes that are made to order were also excellent although I wished they didn’t use the oil sprays. So 3 stars for the hotel and 4.5 for the food.

The staff were amazing and our daughter thought that we were treated like royalty. There were some issues that my wife and I noticed black mold on the bathroom and numerous cracks in the ceiling. The wife looked under the pull out mattress and was not happy with the stains. In fact she was worried about bed bugs after that however we never noticed any signs of bed bugs. The main room had two queen beds that were very comfortable and enjoyed a nice night of rest. The food in the Polo room was good and again the staff were really great. The pool area was ok but they were running out of towels when we left. The noise from others can be a bit much but that is to be expected with an indoor pool. Sunday breakfast was really great and the staff was again one of the best we have deal with. The omelets and pancakes were made to order and were so good that I ended up eating 5 pancakes and 2 omelets.

Great Rates. Easy to get to, several places to eat in the area. This hotel probably needs to be updated — but this probably why it’s $ 109/night rather than $ 189. The Polo club restaurant is nothing to brag about. All and all the staff was great — it’s clean– and if you want to save some money it’s a great option.

It really doesn’t get better than this for it’s price point. Granted, if you are a movie star I’m sure the digs are ritzier. Our first Embassy Suite experience was in Seattle in 2003 and I’ll tell you that this special environment made traveling with 2 children still a vacation for mom and dad, if you know what I mean… Let’s just say the hotel made an impression on us. We were just as excited travelling as a couple this time to have the extra suite space. Feels like you have your own apartment or home away from home. We loved staying here while exploring the surrounding wilderness area. Breakfast is a super bonus that you won’t forget. A hot buffet and cook to order station that is included in your stay. We stayed 5 days and enjoyed every breakfast. We chose the made to order omelets and pancakes every day. I became addicted to the veggie omelet and chocolate pankcake while husbo loved different omelet combos and blueberry pancakes. There is also yogurt, fruit, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs and plain pancakes on the hot and cold buffets. The evenings offer snacks and free drinks. Don’t pass them up! The hummus is great with carrot sticks although they also have other offerings I can’t remember. We grabbed and brought them to our room to enjoy. The staff is super amazing from the front desk to the omelet man. They truly enjoy working here. Although I did hear through the staff that the beautiful atrium full of trees and running water will be removed and replaced with a «water wall.» Removing this beautiful, tropical green space would really detract from the overall vacation atmosphere. The only reason I chose 4 stars instead of 5 is the bathrooms are TINY. The bedroom and living rooms are huge, which boggles my mind. Why couldn’t they have used a little bit of this space in the bathroom. You literally can’t be in the the bathroom the same time as another person… The door practically hits the toilet. Odd.

Pros: Courteous staff, beautiful common fireplace area, clean rooms, great prices, free breakfast with made-to-order pancakes and omelets. Cons: Walls between some rooms are thin and any sound above casual conversation travels, Bathroom fixtures could use some updating, outdoor walking areas need salting when icy. All in all a good stay, would definitely stay here again at that price point.

Our home away from home. We love the apartment-type feeling of the suites. We love the lush natural plants and water features in the public spaces. And the free breakfasts. And the pleasant and happy service! And the complementary wine as well. We overheard one of the staff members saying they were going to revamp the public spaces and remove a lot of the plants. Please NO! This is what makes Embassy Suites Embassy Suites! If you DO revamp, add an open staircase for guests to use. Seriously, why no visible stairs anywhere? Encourage movement. We’re fat enough, and all you see is people getting in elevators going 1 level here and there.

First off, the staff here is typical Hilton; they’ll put on a smile and do everything they can to accommodate you. The rooms and the hotel itself are also pretty nice. What I can’t for the life of me figure out is being in a Military city why the heck doesn’t the place serve breakfast starting at 0500? And WHY do they cheap out by serving the WORST coffee ever! At the pre-breakfast Coffee stand they have instant Douwe Egberts, I thought this was bad, but even during the actual breakfast this swill is the only option! I wasted a week staying at this place before wising up a moving next door to the Fairfield Inn(not as nice of a hotel, but they at least BREW the coffee in the morning!).

It is all about the amazing staff here. Everyone is soo friendly and helpful. They move out of your way and just really help you, my son spilled soo much chocolate milk and they said don’t worry about it that’s what we are here for… also I have seen them work soo hard at cleaning that area for hours after they finish the breakfast, it is impeccable. They have real fresh fruit(watermelon, melon, cantaloupe, …). My husband loves the made to order omelet s(they have a crazy system where they are soo fast). I will be honest didn’t love the eggs bacon but the rest was great. Than they have happy hour where they give us free drinks and light snacks(varies humas, fresh fruit, pretzels, nuts). With all the included items you save $$. No regrets booking here and very close to garden of the gods and many other attractions(15 –20 min drive).

I booked this hotel without reading the reviews because my work was hosting an event here in the morning, and it made sense to stay here the night prior to the event. I recommend you read the TripAdvisor reviews regarding this hotel as they’re much more on par with my experience than the reviews here on Unilocal. This hotel is extremely outdated with the rooms containing old-school style plaid couches, plaid curtains, and rips in the curtains, for example. I arrived late at night, around 10 pm, and was just ready to eat and go to bed. I got dinner downstairs at The Polo Club, and it took a long while to get my food even though there were only two other people present who were just having drinks. Then, when I went to get in bed, it was extremely evident that the sheets had not been changed after the previous guest left. There were little black specks all over the sheets along with short black hairs. Honestly, it was really disgusting. I did call the front desk, and the staff member at the desk immediately came up and changed my sheets himself. He was very friendly, but honestly, this experience really shouldn’t have occurred. I recommend going elsewhere.

Excellent employees at this location. My only have 2 complaints, but this does not change my rating: 1. When I made the reservation I mentioned that we were celebrating my birthday and our wedding anniversary. I also mentioned the occasion to the employee who checked me in, as he made small talk asking why we were there. I was expecting the company to do something sweet(strawberries and wine?) to honor the special occasions. The employee who checked me in wished me happy bday/anniversary but we did not get any other form of recognition for choosing this location to spend our special occasion at :(I would expect a company to go above and beyond to make sure we feel appreciated, especially when choosing this location for such a special time. 2. The room was cleaned so late EVERY day that we stayed there… anytime between 4:30p-6p. For me, this is quite late and I felt like we had to stay out of the room for as long as possible to have the room cleaned. We skipped a cleaning 1 day as we just did not want to wait around any longer to have the room cleaned. Other than that, the room was fairly clean(white crusty-ness on the couch made me weary, I covered it with a towel). There were gross hairs stuck to the ceiling of the bathroom. The balcony door lock did not work. The tv remotes looked like they had been cleaned, which I appreciate. The towels were very standard, clean. The bar & restaurant staff were great. Nancy(manager reception) was the best employee at this location that I regularly interacted with. She was so nice and knowledgeable :) I would definitely return to this location, but would be a bit more specific about the cleanliness and the cleaning schedule.

I think this was probably the best choice for Colorado Springs. It’s in a safe area and the staff members are nice. We had reserved a room with two queen beds since my younger brother tagged along with us on our summer road trip to this area in mid June. But when we arrived, the front desk manager informed us that because of the busy weekend, they put us in a room with a king bed and a conference table. When he noticed that we indeed put THREE adults on our reservation, he quickly stated that if we kept the room he would charge us for the rate we were given for the two queen beds. We asked for a roll about for my brother. Got it just a few minutes after we asked for it. My brother slept on it the first night. He woke up in a not so good mood which is unusual for him. So I figured it was because of the roll about. It was soooooo uncomfortable just laying on it for 10 seconds. Easy fix: Take the mattress off of the metal springs and simply just use the mattress on the floor. The king room itself was large and comfortable. Indeed it and the bathroom was clean. But this room just made us laugh every time we walked in because of the long conference table and office chairs. Our room had a balcony and a small fridge, just fyi. The lobby is really nice. We did not eat at the restaurants, but my brother had a few drinks at the bar while my husband and I did some shopping in town. Downers: Elevators are kinda slow. :(USA Today is charged to your bill. That’s not really unusual anymore though at most motels. It’s not that much, but you could always ask them to not charge/deliver it to your room. There were times when I could hear a kid yelling from the open area downstairs near the restaurant area. It echoes in there. But it’s not the Embassy’s fault if kids have no respect. Also, I didn’t hear any of this while we were sleeping, but we did have a conference room leading into our room and the sound of the humming air conditioner. Overall, I’d recommend this place because the staff is attentive and friendly and the rooms are clean. Review #108
