Excellent ambience and beautiful views at this little hideaway. I went with the recommendation here and had the chicken sesame salad. It was delicious, full of fresh greens, veggies, and juicy chicken strips. The dressing is so delicious. I went for lunch so my bill was less than $ 10 for the salad and water, plus tip.

The not so good: Outdoor patio chairs need padding for rearends that don’t have much padding. I can sit on steel patio furniture at my own house. Side plate did not come out until the appetizer came out. It should come out before. Large selection of wine but no Pinot Gricio. The good: Food was fantastic. I had the five course, my friend had the three. Both included fresh food from the farm; not processed garbage. Service was first class and our waiter was attentive and very knowledgable. We would recommend this jewel of a hideaway to anyone looking for a romantic, quality evening.

Good food and great ambience. The Mexican food is delicious and so are the margaritas. Their multi course dinner is well worth the cost. I would recommend going in the spring, summer, or fall to spend some time outdoors. Very pretty place!

Having been highly recommended by good friends, my wife and I decided to go to The Margarita at Pine Creek to celebrate her birthday, and after enjoying the ambiance, the hospitality, and in particular the fabulous food, it was a great decision. Many people might think from the name, that it might be a Mexican restaurant, but that would be the furthest thing from reality. It is a classy, avant guard, gourmet, not to miss, fine dining adventure. Located just a short distance to the West off the Woodman Rd. Exit in Colorado Springs, and nearby a number of hotels, this place is very private and oozes charm. Inside, there are a number of places in corners and niches that make it a very intimate dining experience. Prior to ordering from Melissa, our charming server, we each ordered a glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay, which was their«house chardonnay» and quite an upgrade from most restaurants’ cheaper and inferior selections. The menu featured the option of selecting a three course dinner, or a five course dinner for only a few dollars more. We opted for the three course dinner, but aside from our entrée selections, we each selected different options. I had the soup of the day, which was Lobster Bisque, which was accompanied by some freshly baked bread. For dessert, I selected their delicious Hazelnut-Chocolate Mousse Torte with Crème Anglaise to follow my yummy Boneless Braised Beef Ribs, which were accented with mashed potatoes, roasted pickled wild mushrooms and horseradish gremolata. The«Birthday Lady» started with their toasted Lobster Thermidor Pierogie with Saffron-aji Amarillo Aioli sauce over haricot vert-arugula salad. It was a tasty BEAUTIFUL choice. She followed that with a generous sized Salad of fresh greens with roasted beets, red onions and croutons, which was topped off with a fresh blue cheese dressing. As for her entrée, she chose the grilled Lamb Chop Top Sirloin which had crisp cauliflowers, carrot purée, and pickled Fennel Riata with olive salpicon. The lamb was cooked to medium rare perfection and it was delicious. To complement our selections, I selected a tasty Pinot Noir from their extensive and reasonably priced wine list, and it proved to be a perfect pairing for our entrees. When my dessert was served, and apparently since I had informed them when I made the reservation that it was my wife’s birthday, she was surprised with a HUGE plate with all three of their dessert selections they were featuring that evening, and she was kind enough to share some of them with me. WOW ! Talk about amazing! In addition to the Hazelnut-Chocolate Mousse Torte that I found to be scrumptious, she enjoyed a Vanilla Panna Cotta with fresh berries and shortbread as well as some Orange-Chile Spiced Ricotta Doughnuts with Mexican Chocolate Ganache. In summary, this was a gourmet dining experience with a most creative menu and one that we thoroughly enjoyed, and as a result, I highly recommend Margarita at Pine Creek. Perfect for special occasions or anytime you are looking for an upscale dining experience at affordable prices. Although I observed a couple over in another area of the dining area with a 5 year old child, I would advise anyone that this is not really a kid’s place, and maybe they should have gotten a baby sitter so that they could enjoy it more. I noticed that they have a very large outside patio, under some trees, that are probably a delightful place to enjoy a great meal during the warmer weather months and rest assured, we will be returning. Kudos go out to the chefs and the service staff. The Margarita at Pine Creek is a WINNER !

The ambience of this hidden gem is the best part, romantic little areas in and around the gallery makes it perfect for a date night. The service is really friendly and helps you through the menu, which changes seasonally. The appetizers were the best part, tasty and delicious. Entrees aren’t really worth the money from the steak and chicken options we had, we both had a few bites, had them boxed up, and they ended going into the trash bin. Great wine selection though! Would go again for drinks and apps.

What can I say, the food we had over a 5 course New Years Eve dinner was exceptional. Our wait staff which included Dorothy were very attentive and exceeded my expectations. I’ll be back which is the highest compliment I can pay an eating establishment.

My son was married on the patio at The Margarita at Pine Creek in June. I was the officiant. The service for the WEDDING was top notch — the wedding organizer was attentive, helpful, and made sure all went smoothly. There was way too much food and they knew exactly how to do everything so that it would go the most smoothly. I can also say that the HOLLANDAISESAUCE at The Marg is the best you will ever ever have. Seriously, I mean it. So, order the crab benedicts at brunch, for sure. The ambience is what I would describe as Boho-Romantic. There is nothing ‘stock” or «standard» in the décor. It is Real Art, Real Plants, Real Waitresses, Real hand-crafted tables etc. Whether you are going to propose, or just need a detox from those national chains on a Friday night, this is the place. I’m pretty sure they still don’t have a microwave oven on the premises. The owner is an ageless beautiful soul who hostesses often. The head chef is the kind of guy who will install sliding doors in the restaurant during closed hours to help make the atmosphere better. In short, this is not just a business — it is a life’s work.

One of the best places I’ve eaten. The love of cooking with the Chefs really comes out. We had the 5 course meal and everything was perfection on a plate, wonderful service and the place has terrific ambiance. I look forward to going back!

I love this place. The service was great! Our waitress was informative, funny and just a plain old delight. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. All of dinning areas are partitioned a bit so that while you are in a very large facility, your dinner experience is that of eating in a small intimate setting. There was live music on the night that we were there. The music did not intrude on our conversation; however, once in a while I would pause to listen to a song that I really liked. Given the work that was ahead of use over the next two days, I really treated myself well. I had the five course dinner, with the wine pairing. Yep, I went whole hog and got the 3 glass serving. Everything was great. The presentation of the food was excellent, as was the taste. My two dinning companions and I all agreed that the choice of Margarita at Pine Creek was an excellent idea. Oh yes! The view was very relaxing. All-in-all, a wonderful way to spend an evening. Gluten Free is available and they can work with just about any dietary restrictions, unless you are allergic to great food.

This place fires on all cylinders: food, service, ambience. The restaurant is laid out in a manner that gives it an intimate charm. From many tables, you may not see another table or you might see one or two other tables. One result of this is that the restaurant is pleasingly quiet. We sat at a table near a large window, and we could see the sun setting behind a big pine tree. You select either three or five courses from a fixed-price menu. You can also elect to have wine by the bottle or wines paired with your food. Service is excellent. Our waitress was attentive and she explained the the items on the menu well and knew her stuff. Two of us ordered steak, one ordered sea bass, and one ordered the Gnudis(basically gnocchi made with ricotta). The steak dishes were fabulous and the bass was cooked perfectly. I poached some of my wifes Gnudis; these were in a rich creamy sauce. They are quite tasty but could be a little heavy to eat an entire entrée of them. All in all, a very successful run at a great place. I expect this will be a must-visit every time we come to Colorado Springs.

We found this new favorite spot tucked away in an odd location. We walked in with no expectations and walked out only wanting to come back. There are many options of food and service(eat in a jazz filled downstairs or have a 3 or 5 course elegant meal upstairs). No matter how you decide to dine, I really don’t think you can go wrong. We chose the jazz experience. The smoked empanada appetizers were amazing. We all tasted each other’s food, so I can speak with experience when I say that the tacos de jour(carnitas this particular evening) were stupendous. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the chicken wings were just the right amount of spice and smoky sweet BBQ. Beyond great food, the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. And if we chose to have a more intimate dining experience, there’s always upstairs. And if it hadn’t been raining all week(and maybe slightly warmer), I bet the patios would have been packed as well. There’s live music too I hear. Devin, our waitress(and I really hope I spelled that correctly), made our night very enjoyable. And the chef, Ben, came down to sit with us for some time just to chat. I can’t say enough great things about our evening. If you live here, you probably know all about this fantastic place. If your in town traveling, don’t miss out on this opportunity.

This is a(almost hidden) gem! I was staying at a local hotel for a few days for business and just happened to see a sign for this restaurant. I am glad I took a chance! I was sick of some of the chain eateries within walking distance of my hotel, and this place delivered the type of meal I was craving. The menu changes weekly, but there was something for everyone — gluten free, vegetarians or carnivores. I went with the 3 course meal, which was just enough food to fill me up. I was tempted with the 5 course meal but sometimes my eyes are bigger than my stomach. My server, Melissa, was friendly, passionate and knowledgeable about the menu. The service, décor and quality of the food were all excellent. I would happily come back here the next time I am in the area. Hint: They wont take OpenTable reservations after 1600 the day of, so plan ahead!

This place is over-priced and the food is not that great. The waiter ignored us for 20 minutes before I finally got up and asked if we could get drinks at our table. He said he’d be right there but after 15 more minutes passed by, I found the manager to complain. When the night was over, they over-charged my card by $ 12.63. Unsure of how that happene, when I called to discuss the issue, I got attitude and told that I was not being honest. I said that I would show my receipt and my card print out. When I arrived, the lady I spoke to still made excuses. I never received an apology. Don’t waste your time or money here folks. Bad service is one thing. This is down right uncalled for and should have never happened. There is still no explanation as to why it happened. The only thing I could think of was the waiter wanted a tip that he didn’t get and didn’t have the right to. I WOULDNEVERRECOMMENDTHISPLACETOANYONE… EVER!!!

Just came back from a dinner party of 28 people. The wife and i had really high hopes for this place. The first issue was only one server for all of us. She did do as well as can be expected. I was a little shocked that in a place of a higher caliber that their selection of bourbon lacked, I stopped drinking wild turkey back in my 20s. Bread was served but wasn’t anything to rave about. I had the sesame salad which was rather plain but something with the dressing was way off. The entrée was the best part of the night. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was great. The wife had the Manhattan steak and enjoyed it as well. All of us though were not happy about the desert. The warm gingerbread was cold, the custard was more like Greek yogurt and the chocolate the lady had one bite and pushed it away. Now for the real kicker. This place has no POS system to do your bill. They didn’t even give you a chance to review your bill before they swiped your card AND automatically added the gratuity. The scary part about the whole thing was the bartender sitting at the bar using his cell phone calculator to add up the bills! Doesn’t give me a warm and fuzzy. So with the 3 course meal, two bourbons and 2 glasses of wine our bill was 112.00. Of course I have no idea what each thing cost because we never received an itiemized receipt. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Nothing spectacular. Overpriced compared to other set menu places. We opted for 3 courses each, with 1 drink each and bill was $ 90. Shrimp roll appetizer we didn’t finish, broccoli bisque soup was just ok, entrée was alright but nothing to rave about. We sat on the right side as you walk in the door and after dinner we checked out the left side — completely different, seemed more cozy, more intimate and just a better overall atmosphere. Despite not being impressed with the main restaurant, I will be going back to check out the bar and enjoy $ 2.50 sangria during happy hour, 4:30pm to 6pm. The bar was definitely good for small groups, great vibe and guy playing a banjo!
