I shouldn’t need to explain the rooms or the amenities as most Holiday Inn Expresses are very similar. I do need to highlight the exceptional staff at this location as they went above and beyond to accommodate my partner and I during a recent stay at their hotel. After a very long travel day, I arrived a little early at this hotel because I needed to shower and change before rushing to a wedding rehearsal. Although my room was not quite ready, the gentleman working the front desk gave us water and called upstairs to make sure our room was cleaned first. He spent time to talk with us and make sure we knew the area. The staff upstairs finished our room in about 15 minutes and were there to greet us at our door and make sure we had everything we needed. This allowed my wife and I ample time to get ready and run out the door to our event. If not for the staff going above and beyond, we would have been late or smelly for the rehearsal. Thank you Holiday Inn Academy.

–Put us into someone else’s room. Potentially very awkward, but it was empty. –Shower had pubes, excuse me… had to stop writing to go take another shower. –Towels were all frayed and old –Random empty water bottles on the counter. –The little sitting chair looked like some had a solo good time on it and made a mess… –Try pretty much anywhere else.

I travel frequently and almost always stay with IHGBUT after a night here I spent the rest of my time in Colorado Springs staying at a Radisson. There isn’t much parking and what is there is small. I was towing a trailer and there is no where to park one. There is a single elevator for the hotel that I had to spend 5 minutes waiting on. On the plus the room was nice just not worth the money.

Great hotel. The rooms are updated, comfortable and clean. The hotel is pet friendly. Very helpful staff. I’m picky and would stay here again in a flash.

We reserved a nonsmoking room a week ahead of time and they put us in a smoking room stating that even though we had reserved a room ahead of time other people had arrived first and taken our room and my 10 year old brother has asthma and it gave him an attack. The door doesn’t shut all of the way. They charged us the rate of a nonsmoking room and the staff had an attitude. The sink leaks and the neighbors smoke next to the vent and it blows into our room. I gets this is what you get now when you are a military service member, they give you this. If there was negative stars I would give them.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Dirty. Dated. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke(and, bonus, smelled like pot at night – so bad we had to close the bathroom door so the whole room wouldn’t smell). Trash cans overflowing with food in breakfast area. Trash and piles of towels left overnight in the hall way. And worst of all: after a full day out in Colorado Springs, we returned to find our hotel door propped wide open. Wide. Open. No cleaning staff in sight. Since it was evening, I suspect our door was left open for hours. UPDATE: the hotel’s general manager contacted me about our stay experience. Said the problem had to do with new staff and that it’s been resolved.

I didn’t actually stay here but they share their indoor pool with the Stay Bridge suits across the way… I love the pool! And the hot tub!

I am currently on a road trip across the US. And I am staying at all Holiday Inn’s(for the points), plus with my business traveling I stay in all holiday inn’s as well. This is BYFAR the best holiday inn I have ever stayed at. Granted I do get the King bed rooms, but the décor is amazing, modern and new… Also this is the best customer service I have had at any Holiday Inn express. They have a great sports bar which will deliver to your room, with great food. I recommend the asian wings… Great hotel, will def return!

Wow. Another HI Express gets my vote! The staff here were fantabulous!(Not a word, I know, but it’s a good Unilocal addition!) The front desk staff always greeted us as we came and left, giggled at our little ones as they waved and wandered the lobby as 1 and 2 year old’s do. The room was very clean, accommodating, spacious(a king suite, sofa bed, kitchenette area with an extra sink we don’t often get with the king suite). Day #2, our kids napped late, and we weren’t pestered until we were ready to have the room serviced, and when we asked, housekeeping was right on it! They did just what we asked, and quickly, all while giggling and talking with our little ones — always a plus to keep them entertained! Overall, this place was fantastic, and I would certainly stay here again without a second thought. Was it perfect? No. There are a few issues I will address when we check out. However, I’m confident they will be addressed, because it seems this property is well managed. An oulet in the living room area almost hidden by the sofa sleeper(but the only outlet accessible for computer power in the living room area) had no cover plate. Not very safe for little kids’ fingers. Also, we were on the 4th floor, the a/c unit is directly under the window, easily climbed by a 2-year old, and the large window had 1 lock, which was low enough for my son to climb the a/c, get in the window, unlock it, slide it WIDE open(no safety latch at all) and all he had to do was push gently on an already bent screen to fall 4 stories to a horrible result. The hotel smelled clean, as did our room. However, the 4th floor hall had a time mist mounted on the wall with the worst flowery/perfumy smelling air freshner I’ve ever wanted to throw away in my life! It was SO strong, it permeated my nose and attacked my sinuses to the point I had a headache! They need a more neutral smelling spray in the hall like citrus or something. Not a heavy perfume or flower scent. I thought I was in church sitting behind the lady who had no clue she just bathed in the perfume bottle before she wandered in! My eyes watered, and my kids sneezed. And lastly, which I doubt wll change… the internet was just awful. Wi-fi was slower than slow. I often got a poor signal, cut off service, slow service, tortoise slow download speeds, and irritatingly slow wait times for the simplest pages to open. Argh. Nothing like old technology!
