European Granite Design

I was referred to this company by a friend that use them for his business in DC. They took a lot of care in finding out exactly what I needed and was looking for. Really went the extra mile and even had a few great ideas I wouldn’t have thought of on my own! Price was outstanding. I’ve paid a lot more in the past and had half the care. Nice to work with people who have a passion for what they do.

European granite Design did one of our bars in DC, they offer a very custom made design with very competitive price. I loved the price but with single one star review, I was kind of not sure. I took my chances anyways because they were referred to me by a old friend. They did a fabulous, outstanding, amazing job. They builded a custom drip edge/​rail on to granite to make it one of a kind. Despite the review the service was on time, fast and painless. They came back for small details. They even called back to make sure everything was ok after a week. They also give you peace of mine by telling you if anything Goes wrong to call them to fix it right the way! The installer Cagtay was the best, professional and funny. I guess I will be working with them in the future. Cheers.

There are times when you really need to do something on a tight, no-​going over type budget. Getting my countertops installed was one of those instances where all I had was all I had! European Granite Design was able to meet my budget and exceed my expectation with beautiful counter tops, installation, sink and faucet! Thank you! Superb job!!!

European granite has the best showroom, beautiful and clean. My wife and I chose them over other local companies because they worked with our budget and they have a large selection of granite in house. Our new cabinets and granite was installed quickly and professionally. We love our new kitchen!

EGD did our kitchen granite contertops for less money than their competitors (new venetian gold). I love the stone, the granite is gorgeous but the devil is in the details. They did not fit one of the counter pieces against the wall properly so there is a visible gap and overhang on these 2 pieces of countertops (L shape countertops where the vertical part of the L has an overhang of over 1 inch and the horizontal portion has 1 inch ³⁄₈ of overhang). The gap between one cabinet and the mounted countertop was such that they had to wedge a small piece of granite (less than one inch) and lots of glue/​filler to disguise this mishap. Workmen left dirt, dust and grim (including a razor blade) all over the granite, kitchen floors and every where they went. The plumber did not install the faucet correctly (it was loose and anchored incorrectly) and «forgot» to reattach our gas cooktop. Plumber dumped leftover material in our garage and just left it there. I will not recommend this company to anyone and I do regret that we had them do our kitchen countertops. The initial savings are not worth the headache and follow up we had to do to come to a reasonable agreement about how to fix the problems. Go somewhere else if you want a polished and professional work done in your home. These people have a lot of learning to do. Most of their workers seem to be apprentices not professional, licensed workers. Let my experience be your guide, do not make the same mistake we made just to save a few bucks.
