Sharmaine’s Salon & Day Spa

I always go to Sharmaine’s when I’m in Clearwater. It is super clean and nice and every stylist is very good. From blowouts to color and cut, they consistently do a great job!

Got a mani pedi with Alissa and had a great time! They really spoil you here and I had fun talking with Alissa. Even got a free cookie sample from the cookie guy! Very cute place with high quality products. Pretty pricey but you get pampered.

Wonderful experience. Booked an appointment in the morning. Was able to get in for a facial, pedicure & blow out that afternoon. Christina was delightful, sweet & knowledgeable esthetician. Loved the pedicure & facial (!). Jordan did a lovely blowout. Highly recommend.

My friend and I recently got mani/​pedis at Sharmaine’s. What a pleasant experience. The place was very clean and our nails turned out great! Nichole did my nails and it was clear that she had excellent training. My only ‘complaint’ is over the pricing. I learned during my treatment that price depends on the experience of your stylist. this is fine and makes a lot of sense. However, my treatments were more expensive than my friend’s. The salon should explain this ahead of time and give the client a choice. Otherwise, this place is great.

I highly recommend Michele! I am new to the area, so I tried another salon before Sharmaine’s. I was very displeased with my color, although my original colorist and I spoke at length about what I wanted. Again, not knowing the area or anyone who could recommend a great salon, I threw the dice and tried Sharmaine’s. First, I must say how accommodating the receptionist was in scheduling me as quickly as possible. I explained to her how unhappy I was with the results of my visit to a different salon, and she booked me for the following day! My stylist, Michele, listened to me and gave me highlights exactly as I described. And, she asked how I preferred to style my hair, and she blew it dry and used Velcro rollers to achieve the perfect look. Yes, the location of the salon is bit problematic. It is located on the second floor off of Mandalay Avenue, and yes, during tourist season you should add extra travel time. However, this will not deter me from returning.

I was in Clearwater Beach for the weekend and wanted a spa day. I was given this referral from the Hilton Clearwater Beach and must say that I was very happy when I left! I had an hour massage, an hour facial, manicure, and pedicure. I called Sunday and they were able to get me in within half an hour. My masseuse was amazing (I feel badly I cannot remember her name)! I had many knots that needed to be worked out. It felt like she took a few years off of me. Lori had done my facial and manicure and pedicure, she was very friendly and attentive to my needs. We chatted so much I didn’t even notice the time! I enjoyed wine as I had my nails done. If I were ever back in that area I will definitely be coming back to this salon/​spa!

I have been coming to Sharmaines for over 20 years– they help you keep your look fresh and up to date! Lori, one of the owners keeps her team current with trends by taking them to big city hair shows! Amanda Chamberlain (no relation) is my favorite– her service is always excellent — she doesn’t have a bad day!

I came here 2 years ago and had the worst experience ever. I did my hair and make up for my friend’s wedding. When they were doing my hair I asked them to put half of hair up and the rest curl it. When she was done I looked and just died– she put all the hair up and left a little hair down, it literally looked like a tail. It was too late to change it so I moved to make up. First of all their make up artist didn’t chose the right foundation for me so my face was orange. When they do your make up u don’t see the process, they show u before and after. Anyways, I also asked her to give me a smokey eyes but soft. When she was done I looked at the mirror and instantly started crying. I couldn’t recognize myself: orange face, eyes looked like someone punched me in a eye. OMG it hurts when I remember that day. So I wasn’t happy but I was late already so I thought that I’ll fix it in the car. When I went to front desk I could tell by the girls look that I looked horrible. I told her I wasn’t happy and they still charged me. Also she asked me –20% tip going to be cash or credit ?! She said it was automatic added charge. I highly don’t recommend this place. They rude and unprofessional and over priced.

Great place. They have just about everything you need and it is an easy walk from most North Beach hotels. A tad pricey but if you explain what you want in detail they are great. If you are having an updo make sure to come in with your hair ready for it or they will charge you $ 40 for a blowout that just gets put up. Other than that though this place is flawless!

The location is not the best for a Tampa local since the spa is located on Clearwater beach, and depending on the time of year — tourist central. If you’re in Clearwater or having a beach wedding, it is worth checking out.
The salon is complete with makeup, hairstylist, nail salon, etc. I heard about the salon through my girlfriend and I was impressed with the open layout and friendly welcome when I arrived. It was also reassuring when many customers were raving about their services. A nearby bride was ecstatic about her makeup.
They have students learning Redken coloring as well, all while enjoying tea, water — whatever quenches your thirst.

Apparently they don’t like money. Went and was told all of their hair stylists are off even though they were all sitting there doing nothing. Great job!

Visiting Clearwater, and decided to treat myself to a spa day. Had a facial with Donna, and she was fabulous. She explained everything she was doing, and made the experience very relaxing. I found everyone at the salon/​spa to be professional and extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend a facial with Donna and would love to go back for other services.

A friend recommended Jamie to color and highlight my hair. She was great! My hair looks awesome. Thanks Jamie.

We went here to have some hair feather extensions put in our hair. They didn’t have a very good selection of feathers, they were quite expensive and they were sparce and thin so you needed at least 6 to be able to see them which cost considerably more.
They told us that they would last at least 2 months, maybe longer. They fell out of our hair 3 days later. They put them in with the compressed bead rather than the glue. The glue holds better.
The people that worked at the counter was friendly but the others were stuck up and their prices were high.
I will not go back there again.

My facial was done by Donna Badowski and I would highly recommend her. It was absolutely awesome, and she made me feel completely at ease. I also got a hot stone massage from a different lady which I would not recommend. There was too much delay while the lady was messing with the stones. Also, the lady that did the massage was not terribly nice. I’m definitely going to go back and get another facial sometime, though!
