Zaytune is the best. Besides having great affordable food and drinks the crew there is warm, welcoming, and professional. I had to eat there at least twice to give my honest opinion. Zaytune is the bees knees and the cats pajamas.

Zaytune is EVERYTHING. Located on Morgan just north of 31st street, this place is a gem on the south side. There’s usually some free street parking, but you may have to walk a little bit depending on what time you go. It’s pretty small inside; I’d say that there are about 12 tables so don’t bring a huge group. It’s a very casual restaurant where you order at the counter and pick up your own meal. The service is friendly, fast, and they do a great job preparing every meal perfectly and the food is always beautiful. The food is also always delicious. If you eat red meat, trust me, you want the steak wrap. You may want to pair it with the fattoush salad, it’s ah-mazing. Like lots of fresh vegetables with some kind of delicious dressing that makes it amazing. Beware, the large salad is very large. My boyfriend and I were starving and split a wrap and large salad and had salad to spare. That meal set us back $ 20, but it was fresh, delicious, and we were both happily full after. I also really like the chicken wrap, and am looking forward to trying the baklava.

Pretty good food. The wraps are pretty huge, so order those instead of the platters. You get about the same amount of food. Décor is mediocre. Service and speed are good!

Just had some great take out. Roasted red pepper hummus dip that came with plenty of pita. Very good Steak Shawarma Platter with rice and a couple of dipping sauces. Also got the 3 piece dessert. Only thing listed so we thought we’d try it out. A little pricey but I’d order again.

Another gem in Bridgeport! So simple yet so delicious. Great price for the amount of food you get. Parking around the area is easy(and free!). Honestly what could be better then yummy, affordable priced food, at a convenient location?! I got the braised lamb salad, and really enjoyed it. The meat was very flavorful and definitely got a lot of it!

The food was surprisingly delicious. We ordered the herb fries with two wraps one chicken and the other braised lamb. The herb fries were perfectly seasoned where it was not overpowering your taste buds. The sauce was an olive dipping sauce aka«awesome sauce» that provided the perfect balance to the herbs. I only wish they offered more fry sauce since the bag of fries is big enough for two people. The wraps were huge. My wrap was the length of a chimichanga packed with meat and veggies. The meat was properly seasoned. Each wrap has its’ own spicy sauce to drizzle on your wrap. This place gives off the vibe of Mediterranean fast food or in other words«local gyro hut». If you need something quick and tasty to eat this place would be perfect. This restaurant would not be ideal for a romantic date night can you say #epicfail. One of the guys working behind the counter thought it was wise to clean storage counters while orders were being prepared. I am not sure how I feel about that. BTW we did not develop any food related issues. Cheers!

Love this place! My favorite spot in bridgeport! The seasonings for their schwarma is so flagrant! I usually order the steak salad bowl. Portion is good and everything is fresh. Herb fries are great too! The flatbread and pita is homemade.

This place can get real busy at lunch particularly at noon. The steak and chicken shawarma are great. The pita is made fresh on site daily, by order when they are run out and they are phenomenal. Its a nice little quick service place that has some great healthy options. Everyone I bring there unfamiliar with Mediterranean food loves it. Dont forget to try the hot sauce.

This place is simple yet soooo good. I’ve been to other Mediterranean restaurants where they try to be simple but end up being waaaay too simple without anything special. However, within each menu item there’s a lot of deliciousness in the little details. My go to is the chicken swarma platter and herb fries. The chicken swarma platter looks like a pretty classic dish but it is next level here. The grilled veggie skewer has amazing flavor with nice caramelization for just a few pieces of veggies. The pepper they have is fantastic with the kick of spiciness. At first I thought the chicken would be good but might need a douse of their dressing, BUT don’t do it! Or a least, don’t drown the chicken. There is this char on the chicken that NEEDS to be tasted. You also get a small serving of salad with the platter and it’s good and fresh. Lastly, I always get some herb fries that are a new experience of fries. The dip that comes with the fries is really, really good and I would actual love to just have a bottle of it to put over my next 10 meals. Don’t sleep on Zaytune. It’s a hot joint. I’m glad it’s in Bridgeport and I hope I’ll be satisfying my herb fries cravings for the foreseeable future.

Not impressed at all. Prices must have gone up. The shwarma meal was like 12 or 13 bucks. So I got a chicken shwarma wrap and fountain drink. Still spent like 12 bucks. What a rip off. Food was ok but not for that price. Won’t be back. Can’t always trust Unilocal reviews.

Pros: food is delicious and freshly prepared. Cons: the visible hygiene of the prep process is sketchy at best. On my most recent visit I witnessed the worker who prepares the bulk of the food stop, answer the phone, write down an order, then return to assembling the orders(salads/wraps) without any involvement of gloves or hand washing. If you weigh these pros/cons this location is somewhat of a gamble. After about a dozen visits I won’t be rolling the dice again.

Great neighborhood restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Always a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. The menu is limited but everything is freshly prepared and delicious. I always get the chicken shwarma wrap. It has chicken, hummus, tahini sauce, along with wonderful veges(cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, parsley, radishes, onions) all perfectly wrapped in a soft grilled Flatbread. The wrapping is always important and can make or break the overall experience of the wrap. Here they daily prepare their Flatbread and they aren’t stingy at all on the amount of chicken and veges they give you. Definitely enough that you don’t even need a side. but if you prefer one I recommend their herb fries that comes with a Kalamata sauce. I can’t eat the sauce due to my allergies, but it’s smells wonderful and my boyfriend says it’s really good. The fries are wonderful though without the sauce and are always freshly prepared per order and they are crispy. Make sure you don’t forgot to ask for extra hot sauce on the side if you want to spice up your wrap a little. I easily run through 2 – 3 cups of their wonderful tomatoe based hot sauce every time. I knocked them one star because their location isn’t the easiest to get to if u don’t have a car and I’ve had their hummus and wasn’t impressed. Other then that love this place and recommend everyone to try it!

Definitely a better than average Mediterranean restaurant. Grabbed some take-out when I was in Chicago and staying the area. It was the day after some very hard partying and all that was needed was some comfort food that was healthier than junk food. Zaytune hit the spot with a delicious and huge falafel wrap. It was wrapped in bread that they made and would be better called flat bread than pita. I also ordered some homemade tasting baba ghanoush that was delicious and came with more flat bread. The bread really isn’t like typical pita. It is much bigger and flakier and not as thick… and better. My wife had a falafel salad(unfortunately they were out of tabouli) which had romaine lettuce and tomatoes dressed with a tahini dressing and piled with falafel. She wanted some fries and I have to say that the fries here are some of the best ever, flavored with herbs and with a Mediterranean style dipping sauce that was better than the typical ketchup or aioli. So tasty! They also threw in some salsa that was good with a nice zing to it and came with homemade pita chips. This was so tasty and exactly what was needed. I will definitely eat here again if I am ever in the Bridgeport area. The portions are also quite big so we ended up saving half of it and enjoying a second meal out of it.

I had been wanting to check out Bridgeport for a while and when I looked up lunch spots, this one looked great. I came in with a friend around 1:30 on a week day. It wasn’t too busy, but a few people came and went as we sat outside for an hour and a half and chatted and ate. Both my friend and I decided on the GRILLEDSTEAKSHAWARMA wrap and we split some of the Herb Fries with Kalmata sauce. Both were incredible. Seriously, incredible. I couldn’t finish all my wrap so I brought it home and had it for dinner… still just as good! The wrap itself was excellent; the meat was tender and juicy and the marinade on the meat was delicious. I can’t wait to come back!

Yesterday was my first time here and it was fantastic! My mom and I order the Grilled chicken wrap with a side of fries. The amount of food you get is definitely worth every dollar. My God! Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu

Think… Mediterranean style Chipotle. The prices are all very reasonable and you are going to get a decent amount of food. The servers are very helpful if you are trying to figure out what to order as well. I had the braised lamb wrap which was fantastic. Definitely will come again to try the other meats. Hummus was a bit creamier than I am used to but still good. Basically, bold flavors at a good price with a Mediterranean theme.

We found this place by accident on a Monday night looking for a place to get some fast food. We found a hidden gem instead. The menu is very simple. You pick either a salad or wrap and your choice of meat. We had the humus, falafel, steak schwarma Salad and chicken shwarma wrap. All of the food items were fresh and delicious. This was some of the best Mediterranean food I have had anywhere. The prices are a steal for the quality that you get. The only minor downside is the slow service, but they were slammed when we got there. Overall I give this place 5 stars for quality versus price.

First, the food here is really delicious and full of flavor. We were really enjoying our entrees until we noticed some sanitation habits… it’s not right and just gross. On the night we were here, Alberto, the guy handling the phone, the register, and the money also handles the pitas and assembles some of the food with his phone-register-money fingers… how nasty! Someone will eventually get really sick. I think they need more help behind the counter… maybe someone only handling the phone and money. They store the baby high chairs in the bathroom. We saw a server bring out a high chair from the bathroom for someone to use. Later, when we went to use the unisex bathroom ourselves… there was a whole stack in there… jesus! Would you want your child in one? Would you sit in one… hell no. Won’t be back anytime soon to this particular location.

I came here on an off afternoon when I was early for an appointment. I had the lamb grill wrap and it was definitely well made. The tastes mix well though the lamb did have the smell that only lamb has. To do them credit, they had flavoured it well with the marinate. I didn’t know if I wanted the fava bean soup so they were kind enough to give me a taste, it was well made and lemony but rather forgettable. I would say this is a little diner for quick food, in and out and carry out options. The food seems fresh and healthy but I wouldn’t stay here for dinner. I give props to the wait staff for being good with service and making recommendations but the food is strictly ok. Given the area, it’s the one quick fresh grab and go spot in the vicinity. That being said, they did take a good 5 mins to make the wrap so you know it’s not been sitting on some counter
