I assume the lady behind the counter is the owner, either way, she was super duper friendly. I stopped in on my way home from work & got a 10 piece falafel for only 8 bucks and their pita bread. The falafel was probably the best I’ve had, it was crispy on the outside the way that I personally like it.

Great food and friendly people, very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend the grilled chicken on pita, it’s delicious.

I had a veggie burger from here and it was pretty good! Only thing is that for the price I wish I got a bigger burger.

Fast service, great food and very affordable. Jubranos will give you the best gyro sandwich you’ve had in a long time for just over $ 6 after taxes and they’ll have it ready before you can walk over, even if you live a block away. Also try the gyro cheeseburger, it’s great but the gyro sandwich is my personal favorite.

My friend and I ventured away from the loop for lunch and met up here. We were able to grab the last table. The place isn’t that big(I believe 6 tables). Service was great! For lunch I had the Philly Steak. At first it didn’t look like that much meat was on it, but the flavor of the sandwich was really good and proved me wrong. The fries were also seasoned well. I would go back if I’m in the area. Pretty yummy and affordable food.

Good place with nice service. The food was pleasant but not anything very memorable. the highlight of the gyro meal was the tahni sauce on the gyro. I wish the spicy sauce was spicer . The chicken had a little bit of off flavor like too much Rosemary or thyme. The hummus was also off and kinda dry.

This place is wonderful! The food is good and the customer service is excellent. I usually get the gyro platter. It’s enough for lunch and dinner. Love the Mrs! She makes you feel right at home. You can tell that she really cares.

You can’t complain about a place with really good food, delivered promptly, and for a good price. Gyros was fantastic. Only critique I would give this place is serve their food in a different container so the fries aren’t so soggy :(. But not your fault… well done!

Amazing halal food. Tried their pulled Bbq chicken sandwich(it was a special today), fantastic sandwich. My normal goto is their Philly cheesesteak but am glad I tried the pulled Bbq chicken today.

Cute little place hidden amongst other ethnic restaurants. Nothing special on the inside. Very friendly staff. Basic menu on a lit up display with black bold lettering. $ 3.99 for about 5 tablespoons of hummus. It looks attractive, but the flavor is lacking. It needs more sesame tahini. It was a little bland. The pita was warm and toasty. The gyro is decently priced and is served on a warm and fluffy pita. The gyro meat is tasty enough, blow didn’t blow my socks off. Not dry, but something again is lacking. A couple fresh tomato slices and some onion. The tzatziki is a little on the thick side not enough cucumbers. About $ 13 for lunch including a bottled water. Not impressed, I’ve had better. Very disappointed with the hummus.

This place has good Gyro cheeseburgers, and its chicken wraps are quite tasty as well. I personally like spicy food, so I opt for the jalapeño chicken wrap. I would give that a go if you also like spicy food. The reason why I’m giving this place 3 stars rather than 4 is because of the fact that I found the food to be good, but nothing worth drooling over. If I was in the area, I would consider coming in and getting something. However, I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way for this place. This is also compounded by the fact that I live nearer to Max’s and Al-Watan, and I find both of their gyro cheeseburgers to be better than Jubrano’s. TL;DR: it’s good, pretty good, but not great.

I used the Eat24 app for the first time to order from these folks, and as a side note, I have to say that app is fantastic. Jubrano’s, on the other hand, despite being just two and a half blocks away from my location, completely missed their HOUR-long promised delivery window. If the food had been fantastic, that would have made up for the 80-minute wait, but the chicken schwarma platter was 75% bland white rice, 25% dry chicken. The seasoning was great, but it was sprinkled on top rather than really coating the chicken. End result was that I only ate about 10 bites. The side salad was a bunch of bland iceberg lettuce with one small tomato slice. Sigh… overall, this meal was not at all worth the $ 20 I paid for the food plus delivery.

If you’re looking for a Mediterranean/fast food place in the UIC area, this is your spot! Service is fast and friendly, food is DELISH. My 2 favorites: –The gyro sandwich here is soooooooo amazing. It’s just as good, if not better, than gyros in Greek town. –Cheese fries. Enough said. The only negative about this place is that it’s closed on Sundays.

Jubrano’s is brilliant. It’s about $ 6(tax included) for the best spicy gyro sandwich you’ll ever have. The pita bread is soft but not too soft, the meat is delicious, tender and generous, and the cold tahini sauce served on top just makes the sandwich float in your mouth. Other items are great here too but PLEASE try the Gyro sandwich.

Best. Wrap. EVER! The crispy chicken jalapeño ranch wrap is everything to me. I tried it today for the first time with a side of fries & loved every bite of it. The crispy chicken was flavored well & gave it the perfect crunch, the sauce was a wonderful balance between spicy and cool, the veggies took it to the next level of freshness… I could only finish half the wrap with fries, but loved the fact that I didn’t feel heavy/weighed down afterward. I’ve also tried the philly cheese steak with everything & it was decent. 4 stars only because I haven’t tried anything else there & have to be fair. I’ll absolutely be back for that wrap though. Fast & Friendly service as well. I really appreciate that in the middle of a crazy work day. Try this place out!

Great place that serves some Zabiha halal sandwiches near UIC! You can take the Taylor bus or a 10 – 15 min walk from UIC East Campus or a 5 min walk from West Campus. I’ve tried multiple things and was never disappointed(love their fries!!!). Ask them to make your food spicy! It’s a nice change up from Pizza, Carms, or Ghareeb Nawaz. Parking is difficult. You will most likely have to meter park because you need a zone sticker to park on side streets. Also, they don’t have a huge dining in space, but it may not be a problem because I’ve never seen the place packed.

I was apprehensive to eat here at first since its on taylor, and let’s admit it’s a stiff competition to please the local UIC students taste buds. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I had the chicken tikka masala wrap, it came with a zesty little sauce and fresh iceberg and tomatoes. My friend had the falafel sandwhich and the gyros, they were all very good sized and had some fresh component which is necessary when you’re trying to get some brain food. I am curious to see how greasy their heaving options are but for now, I think the wraps and halal options are satisfying
