I took enchiladas Rojas which was a bit dry for me personally but tasted okay. the west African stew was really awesome!

This is my favorite place ever. As a young college grad without much disposable income but a strong desire to be healthy, this is the Promised Land for me. My go-to order has been Stir Fried veggies with soy chicken, but after trying their panini, soup and juice deal, I’m going to have to start making my way through the menu! Awesome employees who treat you well. Must try if you’re in the area.

Great food at a affordable price. Guacamole is delicious ! Fish tacos are by far one of my favorites. Nice vegan selections. Stir fry veggie dish is excellent as well. Parking available at CVS always a plus.

Excellent service! They will make me a smoothie with the exact ingredients I want with no complaints at all, how accommodating! I always return when i’m not in the mood to cook but still want something that won’t leave me feeling gross afterwards.

Pretty sure they just gave me food poisoning. Made an egg for breakfast, then had Vegetarian Express for lunch, and the leftovers for dinner. It must have been them.

A little hole in the wall restaurant that can easily be overlooked but they know what they’re doing. I’ve gone multiple times and was happy each time. The lentil burger, with its grey color may look weird but trust me it’s good. I’m also a big fan of their scramblers too. It’s cheap, fast, easy and tasty. What more can you ask for?

Vegetarian Express is a nice alternative to fast food. The choices are healthy and really tasty. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a quaint atmosphere but nice ambience. I loved the Mock Tuna Salad. So delicious. You really have to try the Popeye smoothie. Yummy. I like the fact that there was an upper and lower dining area. Lastly, I had the fish tacos. I was licking y fingers. This place is a 5 …

This small, 4 table place does tasty vegan and vegetarian cuisine at reasonable prices. It’s a casual lunch spot or take-out place, more than a sit-down dinner place. But it’s good for dinner too, especially if you want a relaxed, semi-empty space and somewhere to sit down. The portions are quite large and filling. I had the African stew, a very generous mixture of fresh vegetables in peanut sauce over brown rice. I’ve also had the guacamole, delicious, and enchiladas verdes, a little dry but tasty. Some find the food here bland, but lots of people who eat this kind of food are trying to detox from something, and bland tends to work. The staff is friendly. They could and definitely should spiff up the décor a little(a lot, actually). For healthy food in the neighborhood, this is a viable alternative.

This place is basically a cheaper, local version of Native Foods. It lacks that slick, carefully marketed feeling but it has a nice big menu(and eggs and cheese if you go for that). Plus, did I mention it’s cheaper? I got a barbequed seitan sandwich and(based on another users glowing review) sweet potato fries. The bbq sandwich was simple but delicious. Thick slices of moist, soft seitan topped with grilled onions and a ton of delicious BBQ sauce. At first I was disappointed there was no lettuce or tomato or anything, but ultimately, the simplicity won me over. The bbq sauce was just that good. No idea if they make it in house or not. The sweet potato fries were a little disappointing. They came out piping hot and glistening with grease, but they had no crunch at all, a key quality for good fries IMHO. A couple of them were also slightly undercooked. Overall, I really liked this place and would definitely come back.

I’ve been here many times and the only thing I ever order is the black bean burger with sweet potato fries and Cajun dip, because it’s so amazing. And it’s under $ 10 which is an incredible deal for a burger in this area. The staff is super nice and their menu is huge. They seems like a hole in the wall Latin restaurant but then they sell things like kombucha and homemade granola bars. They didn’t have hummus though, which is something I was shocked to see from a vegetarian place. Besides that, this place is def worth a visit!

I LOVE this place. I get a sandwich or something off of their menu at least 2x a week. The staff is so friendly, so quick. The food is absolutely delicious and the price is incredibly reasonable. Nothing but positive things to say here.

I so badly WANTED to love this place… but I just did not. I have ordered pick-up and just walked in to order from here a handful of times in the last few months. Each time, something was wrong with my order and the food was fairly bland in my opinion. I have tried their nachos as well as some sandwiches, but had little luck with either. I just feel like if there is only one customer in your establishment, and you ask them what kind of fries they want with their meal, they should probably be given that type of fries(for starters).

Changed my mind about this place. If you watch them make smoothies they barely use real fruit. Mostly ice and powder. Their food is still amazing, but avoid the smoothies.

Hubby found this place because of his recently-adopted vegetarian diet. However, you carnivore Unilocalers should cleanse your bodies by having some healthy veggie gourmet stuff, every once in awhile, so that you can continue to Unilocal with longevity! They have an extensive menu, featuring all goodness granted from God in either a vegetarian or a vegan form. They really do make the dishes«disguise able» so you can’t tell what you’re eating. I personally don’t care about the disguise, since Mom used to give me a slap of face if I didn’t finish everything I had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She has always been feeding me veggies and healthy food, so I love veggies, tofu, and wholesome freshly-squeezed juice more than anything else! I loved the ceviche I ordered. I enjoyed the heartiness the creamy avocado, tomatoes, and cilantro brought out. The salsa chips were slightly salty, but I like salty chips so I thought they had just the right texture and flavor. Hubby’s portobello sandwich looked incredibly, comfortably delicious. Although I didn’t taste it, but I could tell that was a great dish to make him or her feel energized and re-charged from fatigue. They do accept credit card, with a $ 5 minimum purchase. However, American Express isn’t accepted at this time. Apparently, free parking in CVS lot is available for patrons. If you choose to dine in, be mindful that noise from juice-making will occasionally buzz, loud and clear.

Sweet potato burger? What? That sounds crazy! The burger was made from cooked sweet potatoes. There were onions and chipotle sauce which gave it just the right amount of kick. They also offer gluten free bread. Filling and flavorful. The desserts are healthy desserts. The brownie was gluten free and tasty. The scone was gluten free with coconut, almond and chocolate chips. The tiramisu was a raw dessert made from nuts and cocoa-yummy. I plan to return and try their smoothies, juices and the portabella fajitas.

I love that they provide great vegan options, but with so many vegan restaurants in the area, I never go. The food is just ok. When I look back at the workers, it never seems very clean to me. If you need to use the restroom, you are led through a creepy passageway to a not very customer friendly washroom. The only thing I love and go back for is the raw tiramisu. Delicious!

OMG so fresh, so flavorful … Mmmm too tasty! Portabella Fajitas — YUMYUMYUM! So fresh, so vibrant, extremely generous in portion. I usually hesitate to order fajitas in a restaurant. For fear of too much sauté oil, but Vegetarian Express surprised me! Fresh and tasty, so not oily. And finally, a restaurant that doesn’t overwhelm their plates with exorbitant quantities of rice. In addition to the rice, these were also served with pico de gallo, smashed black beans, corn tortillas and some sort of fresh green. The tortillas tasted homemade. Are they made in-house? I’m not exactly sure. But they were tasty. Green Juice — ehh, I can do better. I requested custom blend for an extra $ 1, but didn’t like the ratios: too much apple, not enough ginger. Black Bean Soup — Chunky with carrots, onion and celery. Really lovely, homey feel. I could eat this daily. Papaya Salad — Sweet n Spicey, but more sweet than spice. I didn’t like the whole almonds(almond slivers would be better suited, texture-wise). This was really enjoyable and it has inspired me to attempt in my own kitchen –only slightly altered to better suit my tastes the changes I would make: less sweet, more spice, slivered almonds instead of whole. All in all this place rocks. Friendly, fast service, quality ingredients, skillful chef serving nothing but deliciousness at reasonable prices. I’ll be back OFTEN! =)
