5⁄5 for the doughnuts — delicious, fresh, hard to resist. Coffee is intelligentsia, but it isn’t brewed the best but still 4⁄5. Either way if you’re hankering for a soft and satisfying donut hit this place up! The strawberry jelly one is my favorite amongst the other amazing coconut and pistachio donut. Go to stans today! It’s everything you’d ever hope it would be!

made me sad. The donuts were just sweet & dry. too sweet actually, not much flavor. I tried the orange old fashioned &the blueberry fritter & tossed them both. MYGREEDYASSTHREWAWAYDONUTS! I looooove the donut vaults lemon poppy seed. Its moist & has a TONOF lemon flavor, not just sweet on sweet. I also love glazed and infused. you can really taste the flavors with them too. I love the raspberry old fashioned style donut & more recently, The cranberry vanilla glaze. BOMB!!!

I wondered in here this past Sunday and it was really poppin! I heard a lot of great things about Stan’s so I thought I give it a try. I bought two donuts one for me and my mother, one peanut butter pocket and a blueberry fritter. I had the peanut butter pocket and it was pretty good. I would say that the peanut butter filling was a bit dry… However I love the rich chocolate flavor that accompanies it! My mom enjoyed her blueberry fritter though! I will go back and try another flavor…

Stan’s is my favorite donut place in the city so I’m beyond thrilled to have it in my neighborhood. In the first week of opening, I went at least three or four times. The buttermilk bar is the best donut they have. You must try it.(But not all of you okay? Because it makes me sad when they run out.) Love that they have Stumptown cold brew on tap. I’ll definitely take advantage of that in warmer months!

Finally it opened in the Roosevelt Train station and my husband brought home ½ a dozen assorted donuts. I almost never eat donuts but coudlnt help eating ½ pistachio and nutella donuts. I really enjoyed both, quality is good but i wish they were made of butter instead of hydrogenated fats. Will be getting some donuts again for sure!

i was in the area looking for a washroom which starbucks across the street didnt have. so i came into stans donuts and coffee, which only permits washroom use for customers. i went ahead and bought a nutellla bananna pocket and a coffee. the donut itself has a light cream graze on top with crunchy vanilla chip grains and it is smothered with chocolate. the breading itself taste like a crosant. and inside the crosant there is a banana fudge cream. one of these will definitely fill your appepite and sugar fix. i will certainly buy another in the near future. oh yeah, their mens washroom was clean and they have a cool hand dryer called the«air blade»

Doughnut lover beware of the sugar shock you will go into after a doughnut here! Here are all the doughnuts I have tried: Peanut butter pocket — AMAZING! Leaves your mouth shut with a huge amount of peanut butter that craves a cold glass of milk. The chocolate glaze on top is perfect pairing Boston Cream — Dark chocolate leaves you with a bitter aftertaste that I loved and the custard was made perfectly. The doughnut was light and fluffy Dreamsicle — Awful… there was WAY too much sugar glaze and the orange filling was grainy with sugar. I would have preferred a orange custard filling rather than one that tasted like sugary orange fanta frosting. Lemon Pistachio Old Fashion — unique and good. The cake doughnut was done very well and the pistachio was a great flavor. I didn’t taste any lemon but overall I would order this again. Toffee cake — WAY too much glaze to get the toffee to stick and it felt lost. The toffee wasn’t that great and I truly felt like the glaze over powered the doughnut. Captain Crunch Bismark — Very underwhelming. Pretty much a sugar glazed doughnut with cream filling and a few captain crunch cereals on top. Would be better if they had crumbled the captain crunch and coated the top or even had some in the middle. Buttermilk Bar — once again WAY too much glaze! The cake doughnut should be the shining star and it’s lost in a overly sugary glaze. Blueberry Fritter — the Blueberry was a great variation on a apple fritter but AGAIN way too much glaze. Beignet pair– Delicious! Great if eaten when warm. Light and airy with the perfect amount of powdered sugar. Definitely not Café Du Monde but a great option. Overall, very underwhelmed with the fact that they have a plethora of doughnuts to select from I was only satisfied with a few. I am a doughnut NUT and this was sad to see so many doughnuts done so poorly. I think Stan’s does a great job with their pocket doughnuts because there is no sugar glazed involved but the rest… buyer beware that these doughnut will leave your stomach feeling sick and a sugar high that you will crash and burn from with regret later. Your tastebuds will only taste SUGAR. The doughnut and other complimenting flavors do not come through on many of these selections. I also have to warn those that go to this location and are in a hurry or ordering many doughnuts to watch their receipts! I was charged for a doughnut I never received! When I brought it to their attention on my visit back they only said«Well enjoy your doughnuts today» Also doughnuts were poorly arranged in the boxes… placing a chocolate glazed doughnut under a wrapper leaves you with a doughnut with no glaze!?! Pricing of these doughnuts is pretty similar to what else is out there. With all the competition out there I will not be making an effort to go back…

1 star because the long line only for ordering 1 star because the line for paying the doughnut 1 star because of poor costumer service. No clue about it. 1 star because the doughnut itself… It was hard and overly sweet 1 star because of the price … Almost $ 4 for one doughnut. I am sorry… But I did not like this place nor the doughnut.

Stans has the best donuts in Chicago! I highly recommend getting a latte to go with your donut. The staff is friendly and helpful their recommendations were dead on. Thank you Stans!

I LOVE doughnuts and really wanted to love this place but it was an epic disappointment. The doughnuts were burnt and hard. The workers also did not seem to know what they were doing. I ordered two doughnuts and the woman got both of them wrong. The lady at the cash register also did not know how to work it. I’m adding an extra star for the variety, but I’ll stick to my Firecakes for now.

They have a nice assortment of donuts that are fresh and not over bearing with ingredients. Just the right proportion of frosting/glaze/sprinkles etc. to dough. They also have amazing gelato shakes. I was thinking of giving it 4 stars because the price point was kind of high, but decided it was worth it given what designer donuts are going for these days.

Stan’s Donuts has opened right by another CTA stop, making it easier for me to take in treats to the office :) Donuts are the same as in other locations, old favorites like the old fashioned glazed in their multitude of flavors, and all kinds of Stan’s specialty donuts too — Nutella Banana Pocket or Blueberry Danish anyone? This location is smaller than others in the city, but it’s cozy and lovely! Step in and gather your munchies from the case in direct line of sight from the entrance, get a drink — they were handing out raspberry white hot chocolate samples when I went in! — clamber onto one of the tables there and indulge in sinfully delicious fresh donuts! The staff here is great! Ask for recommendations if you’re uncertain. They also carry gluten free donuts, if that’s how you roll!

After visiting their Wicker Park location several times, I was anxiously awaiting the opening of Stan’s Donuts in the South Loop! It’s a relatively small shop, and the pricing is a bit high and confusing(for example, if you order an assortment, you have to choose a certain number of donuts from each category). However, the donuts and coffee are both excellent, the service is friendly, and I’m very happy to have this place in the neighborhood!
