We popped in here to grab a pizza for dinner last night because a friend told us they did gluten free. We were there at around 6:30, and only waited a couple minutes for a pizza to be put together for us. Got home, tossed it in the oven, and 12 minutes later we had the best gluten-free pizza I’ve ever had, at about half the price of delivery. Quick, easy, and delicious. Definitely going back.

We ordered homemade for our Oscar party last night! It was great! They told us 30 – 40 minutes and weren’t lying. There were three of us so we got two medium pizzas. The BBQ chicken and the Quattro Stagioni. Thinking about them this morning makes my mouth water. There were no leftovers. I usually eat gluten free but when I cheat I only cheat with something worth it! You can order online and pickup in store. I suggest getting two; eat one for dinner and save one for late night(drunk food) :)

Easy, and tastes as good as a restaurant. Highly recommend the deep dish.

It thought I’d give this concept a shot and called them up to pre-order a medium stuffed pizza with pepperoni. The girl accepted my order and I asked my Au Pair to go and pick it up. When she arrived the girl gave her a thin crust sausage pizza and sent her on her way. When I called back to tell them the mistake, I asked them how could they mistake a stuffed pizza for a thin-crust. They told me they don’t have stuffed pizza, just deep-dish or thin-crust and that my Au Pair confirmed my order when she picked up the pizza. I found that funny since she didn’t know what I had ordered. It just made no sense. Why didn’t they tell me on the initial call that they did not have stuffed pizza and how could they have not only screwed that up but also the topping? The answer, she gave us someone else pizza. She didn’t bother to check the name and someone else got our pizza. Anyway the replacement which we had to go pick up was pretty tasty. Someone needs to train the staff here to get things right the first time. I will probably give them another shot.

If you’ve ever tried Papa Murphy’s, they’re half the price, with double the toppings and much more flavor. Since this is the only take and bake in town, it’s alright. But a crust, a few toppings, and jar of sauce from the grocer will produce a better pie. Or if you’re way out in the suburbs, try Papa Murphy’s and you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t mind cooking this pizza, just keeping making amaaaaazing pizza with really high quality ingredients. Best gluten free I’ve ever had anywhere.

The concept of this place is ludicrous to me. I mean why am I paying someone so much for me to cook my own pizza. After much deliberation I decided I needed to try out this silly concept. I’m pretty happy I did. I wasn’t blown away by the pie, I’ve made much better myself. But it dispel the notion that this concept was ludicrous… I could get why you’d chose this option considering the rest of the chain pizza joints are pretty blah. I dont know if I’ll do it again, or just stick to making my own pies/carryout from Bricks. But it was worth a try.

It doesn’t have to be fine dining to get 5 stars in my book. I just LOVE Homemade Pizza Company. It doesn’t hurt that it’s a stone’s throw from my front door so even in icky weather it’s simple to get in and get out. I think the shop itself is charming and clean– and that’s important when I’m going to eat the food that comes out of the place. My favorites include: –Spinach salad(Dried cranberries, red onion, feta cheese and pine nuts over fresh spinach leaves.) This salad is FANTASTIC. I’ve often replicated it myself at home and I like to bring it to potluck dinners. It’s always a hit! — The COOKIE! How can you not love the giant chocolate chip cookie?! It is just fantastic! I LOVE it! — PIZZA! The sausage and carmalized onion tops my list. Oh my GOD is it good. I’ve also had(and loved) the pepperoni and even the basic veggie. They have more options at the shop(on the blackboard). I love the concept– we make it, you bake it. I think it’s brillant. The ingredients are always fresh and I can rely on consistently delicious food everytime.

Large half B.L.T. half wild mushroom please! Although the concept of the business is nothing new, HomeMade Pizza reinvents the ingredients and turns bake-your-own-pizza into gourmet eating. Everything about their food is fresh, healthy, and delicious. Even the giant chocolate chip cookie shared between 4 girls didn’t stand a chance. As soon as it came out of the oven it was gone. Next time I want to pick up some ice cream!

«Healthy» and«Pizza» don’t really go hand-in-hand; however, if you are in the know at Homemade Pizza Co, you can truly do healthy pizza, feel good about your choice AND enjoy the heck out of it! Here’s the winner: Sugar-free whole wheat crust topped with tomato sauce, spinach, tomatoes, red onion, roasted garlic and grilled chicken. No cheese. BOOM. Loads of healthy, fresh veggies. Sugar-free whole wheat super thin crust. Grilled chicken to add protein. No cheese to slow you down. And it’s delicious to boot. Who knew that you could order pizza and not regret it the next day? I’m also a big fan of Homemade’s salads. The large sized salads are exceptionally fresh and absolutely brimming with the super-crisp lettuce and tasty toppings. Again… the majority of the salads are incredibly low-cal. Watch your dressing and you’re in even better shape. Seriously, Unilocalers. THIS is how healthy take-out should taste. I’m a believer.

Fun new addition to Wells Street! I admit we have never been here until one opened on our street, but I’m glad we stumbled upon it. We were on our way to Treasure Island to buy something quick and easy to make for dinner. It happened to be the grand opening of HomeMade and there was a crowd forming. Well ultimately we were also sucked in like lemmings. I couldn’t resist the free baskets of Roma tomatoes creatively displayed in the bed of on old fashioned pick-up truck! Well there is nothing more the hubby loves than pizza… so he was being lured over to claim his free slice of sample pizza they were cooking out in front of the store. The owners were cooking the pies while promoting their restaurant with coupons and smiles. Well we HAD to give it a whirl. What Treasure Island?! So you step inside to order your ready to bake, uncooked pizza. Take out counter service only. No sit down(although there are benches for your wait) you choose your pie, and about 5 – 10 min later… voilà! Now you just take it home, pop it in the oven and in 15 minutes you have fresh, hot pizza! they have wheat crust too… Woo Hoo! They also have prepackaged(yet fresh) salads too. The spinach salad is AMAZING! I want the recipe for that dressing! I had to restrain myself from buying the extra-large cookiedough cookie. Same concept, pop in the oven and bake it for dessert! The pizza isn’t the best pizza I have ever had. Hence the 4 stars. But it’s still yummy. After I take my share, hubby finishes off the rest– typical boy! So obviously we like it! And it’s perfect if you want something quick, don’t feel like cooking and don’t want to wait forever for delivered pizza. The ingredients are fresh, local and organic(insert HUGE A+++ for me!) More gourmet-style toppings rather than pizzeria or Chicago style. Creative concept. And a rewards program to boot, gotta love that. Good work HomeMade :)
