I would personally not recommend ordering from Bacci for the following reasons: 1. Delivery guy called, asked us to come down and get the pizza. I gave him my buzzer code and he said«cant you just come down and get it» ummm… are you serious? This is your job! 2. They called to say they didn’t have Italian beef… how can you run out of Italian beef, its Chicago! 3. The cheese was smeared half off the pizza and laying on the cardboard. 4. Wasn’t fully cooked– It was doughy.

Ordered a large pan sized pizza through Grub Hub. I was happy with delivery– very fast compared to other orders I have placed with GH and other pizza places. The pizza was huge for the money. Sauce was good, not too sweet. Lota of pepperoni which was tasty. We may order Bacci again.

Worst customer service EVER! Not worth patronizing. I ordered over the phone with a coupon for a free pie. Operator couldn’t find me in their system but assured me it’s fine to bring the printed coupon. Yet when I got there he refused to accept it.

If I could give them less stars I would but 1 is as low as it goes. NEVER order for delivery from here!!! I had to wait THREE hours for my pizza to be delivered and at this point it is not even edible… I ordered cheese pizza… got pepperoni and bacon pizza… it was also cold and had obviously been sitting in the guys car for at least 2 hours… you could tell by the absorption of grease through the box. Very disappointed, their pizza is usually pretty good for late night, but their delivery is terrible.

Way overpriced. Poor quality. Incompetent. Ordered extra thin crust with four toppings. Received thick crust with only two of the four toppings ordered. Delivery guy couldn’t figure out the box at the door. Will never eat at or order from this place again.

The only thing special about the pizza here is the size. One slice is huge and will fill up pretty much anyone. $ 5 gets you an enormous slice of crappy pizza and a drink. Great late night drunk food or for a quick meal if you are at north ave beach. Wouldn’t recommend going there if you are looking for a whole pizza.

I am a fan of bacci’s pizza. The size of the slice is ridiculous but it’s a great deal. They are usually open somewhat late and you can easily split a slice with a buddy and both be full. They also have a specialty large pizza which is larger than a standard doorway. Great thing to order if you’re having a party or have abnormally wide doors.

Please don’t waste your time at this place. There are so many better pizza places in Chicago. The enormous slices are a novelty item that blinds you from the bush-league slice of pizza that you are really eating.

By all means come here if you want overpriced, cafeteria crust, frozen novelty pizza.

Same lame pizza; same lame price. There is nothing to report here that you haven’t endured at their other locations. Yes the pizza is slightly better than the wriggly location, but the same as the chicago ave location. Their pizza is unremarkable in every way and it is really just a step up from the near by McDonalds. I know your hungry, but you can do better.

Love their monstrous slice and pop deal. $ 5 for cheese and $ 6 for a topping. It’s big enough were you can cut it in half and share with someone else. The toppings a good with lots of cheese and the crust crispy. Great ‘Za.

I had a late night of work on deck in my remote office, the 24 hour Starbucks on North and Wells, and across the street I saw this place, calling to me. I asked somebody to watch my stuff and made my move for a jumbo slice. Inside there’s a barbershop feel with some guys who apparently neither work nor(currently) eat there, chatting and whoopin it up with the staff. They have tons of cheap food specials, mostly hovering around $ 5(2 hot dogs, fries and soda is probably the best value) and the set up is clean and nearly furnitureless. It’s no coincidence that it resembles a college dudes’ living room immediately before a house party. No doubt there’s a big crowd here around 2:00am. The pizza was the embodiment of good enough. Pros: big, relatively cheap, and filling. Cons: it had the texture of pizza left out all day at the office and generally lacked flavor. What can you expect for $ 5 though? Try and forget about similarly sized, cheaper and more loaded slices from Ian’s. Step up your game, Bacci!

My husband and I were just walking out of Second City when we saw a guy sitting at a table nearby eating a slice of pizza bigger than his head. We couldn’t help but stop and ask — where the heck did you get that monster slice from? He happily stood up and pointed across the street to Bacci Pizzeria. We sprinted over there and much to our delight, it was only $ 5 for this huge slice served on a cafeteria style tray and a soda. We felt a little guilty for eating more of a NY style pizza while in the city of deep dish love but we couldn’t pass it up. Overall, I thought the pizza tasted pretty good but of course not as good as what we could get in NJ or NY. The crust was my favorite part. Cheese is normally my fav but because of the pure size of the slice, it kept sliding off. The sauce was average. Overall, the price was right, it was certainly edible and the size of it earns 3 stars in our book.

First off, the slices are HUGE and the price is right. $ 5 for the equivalent of 2 – 3 regular slices of pizza plus a drink. I got a slice of pepperoni and was somewhat disappointed. The meat was actually pretty good(had just enough spice) but the cheese was not stiff and the sauce was unmemorable. I would compare it to something you could get at a Sbarro chain — cheap, edible and filling. Also, the dining area inside is kind of tacky and there were playing the HLN news station pretty loudly so I ate my lunch while hearing stories about serial killers. It was pretty weird!

Picture it: 2008. Wrigleyville. I had just moved to the city and after a couple of alcohol-induced stops at Bacci, I thought I had hit a goldmine. My parents came to visit and I eagerly dragged them to what I remebered as the«best pizza in Chicago». I watched the amazement of their faces as they saw the slices of the pizza(bigger than our heads, people) and then the disappointment as they bit into the pizza. Okay, so I overshot and truthfully never ate a piece soberly. Fast Forward three years: I quickly got over the Wrigley scene and hence, forgotten about Bacci’s. Then I’m walking the dog and I see a Bacci’s in Old Town… what?! This is not even close to the best pizza in Chicago but I can excuse the taste because I’m always blinded by the size of this monstrous slide and the fact it’s only $ 5. I’m a sucker for deals and this my friends is one of them. It definitely tastes like it’s been sitting out under those heat lamps for a bit but I’m usually munching on this after five or six gin and tonics and at that time, anything sounds good. The crust doesn’t fall apart when you left it to your face and it comes with a free pop. holler. The fiancé and I split a slice for dinner tonight and the amount was perfect. And for a dinner for two for 5 bucks, I’d call this a darn good deal.

Like the voice at the end of Pink Floyd’s «Money,» your excuse the following morning after a late night slice at Bacci is going to be, «I don’t know. I was really drunk at the time.» I grabbed a slice shaped like, and nearly the size of, the State of Idaho following festivities related to the Wells Street Art Fair. I was able to eat up to about Boise before I was full. Bacci serves up huge slices, and they’re only five bucks. I got up the next morning, used my drunk excuse to justify eating a slice nearly the size of Idaho and then enjoyed the leftover cold pizza without guilt. Four stars.

There are few things I look for in my slice of pizza: 1. Crispy enough to not fall apart 2. Taste like pizza 3. Be roughly the size of my car These slices of ‘za are monstrous, dude! It isn’t the best tasting pizza I’ve ever eaten, but it’s scrumptious enough after a long day of shopping in the North/Clybourn ‘hood, plus it’s fun to funk up the El with the wafting scent of cheese and grease. This location has daily specials, which is a leg up from the Wrigleyville location. It’s also only $ 5 for one of these big puppies, and you get a free soda! These cheap but giant slices usually give me a reason to shop a little more, both for the added cardio to burn off the week’s worth of carbs I’m about to inhale, and because it’s so cheap I can afford that extra vase over at CB2!

I’m always glad to have another late-night food option in the neighborhood, especially if it’s pizza. Bacci’s pizza is good, but not great. It’s very adequate. And as long as you select a slice that was made recently, you’ll have a satisfactory pizza experience.(I once ate a slice at the location near Wrigley that required carbon dating.) Since this is a brand new location, it’s very clean and bright. They have a moderately sized plasma TV in the corner, which was playing a Monday Night Football game when I visited. That was a nice touch. In a city with a million wonderful pizza options, it’s hard to recommend a place like Bacci. But considering the limited options in the neighborhood(especially late night), Bacci is a welcome addition.
