I came in to see Jeff after years of my Step Mom telling me how amazing he is, and I am so glad I did! First of all, the salon is adorable and very comfortable. I typically get a full head of highlights, and am always a bit nervous with new places as my hair tends to come out very warm (brassy). Jeff listened and was amazing! Not only are the highlights awesome, but he gave me a killer haircut as well! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

This is a great salon! I moved in around the block about 8 months ago, and I regret not writing this review sooner. Jeff was amazing-​I went in as a new client, we talked about what I wanted as far as my hair was concerned, and he executed brilliantly. Not only that, he was so friendly-​I can’t recommend him enough to my friends :) Plus, the pricing isn’t outrageous, like you’d find at other salons in the neighborhood. Definitely has me wanting to go back for my next big cut!

I don’t normally write reviews for places that I used weird discounts for, however this place was so amazing.
I was here on a Sunday afternoon. Taylor did my highlights. Raymond was also doing hair at the same time.
All of the other clients that came in while I was there were regulars. Raymond and Taylor were both so nice to everyone.
I saw 3 finished haircuts from Raymond while my highlights were processing. The 3 difference woman all had very different hair, but they all looked amazing when they were done.
Taylor did a really good job with my hair. The highlights are just what I was looking for (very natural. My hair actually looks a lot like my sister’s hair now!)
I know that I got a discounted service here, but I was blown away by how nice the salon is, how great the staff is, and how loyal the customers are. All of those things indicate a outstanding salon to me!
Oh, and they offer you a drink when you come in! I love places that do that!

Update: I’ve now been seeing Jeff as my primary stylist for over six months, and I’m a happy camper. My hair has never looked better, and he’s got my very funky purple color down to an efficient process and reasonable price. (yes, I have purple hair — you have no idea how hard it is to get right.) It’s been very difficult for me to find stylists who are good at both cuts and color, and I’m happy to say I’ve found it! And, he’s such a super chill person. I like his «chairside manner». No attitude, just genuine and nice.

Jeff is the Hair Whisperer! I am a guy who always went to his dad’s barber shop. My wife goes to Jeff and recommended I give him a try. Boy, was she right. Great cut, great guy. Comfortable environment. Now a loyal customer. Thank you Jeff and team.

All I can say is I’m so glad that I asked Jeff to do my hair for my August wedding, rather than listen to everyone else and go to some other salon. Since he knows me and knows my hair, after showing him a picture of what I was looking for and discussing it, he did an amazing job and no one else could have compared! Jeff also did my sister’s hair and she was very happy with what he did. He even came to the house since they are closed on Sundays, thank you Jeff and to everyone else at Hands2Create!

I recommend Hands 2 Create to everyone I talk to. Jeffrey has been styling my hair for 20 years. Wherever he goes, I go. I get the most compliments when I got to Jeffrey. He makes me look awesome and feel great every time! He is the BEST!

I have been with Jeff for 12 years and always leave his salon looking and feeling great. He’s given me the best haircuts, from pin straight and lllooonnnnggg to full and layered to a short stacked bob. I always feel current and classic and polished. His demeanor is laid back and open, instantly making you feel comfortable and his staff is equally welcoming and warm. As far as I’m concerned there is nobody better than Jeff! This man can cut short hair like nobody I’ve ever seen and is a master at texturizing. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a real hair stylist and not just somebody who cuts hair. AMAZING!!!

Jeff, the owner, has been cutting my hair since I was recommended to his salon in 2007. He listens and executes on my concerns to get me a great style every time. His salon is bright, clean and his staff is extremely friendly. The prices are all very reasonable, which is great for someone like me on a budget. I’ve always had a great experience and will continue to return time and time again.
I would highly recommend Hands2Create for anyone looking for a professional style and great value for the money!

I am always excited when it’s time to go back at H2C. Jeff always remembers what what hair styles we discussed last time and is always full of fresh ideas and suggestions. He also has the best attitude and truly magic hands. I always get multiple compliments on my hair styles from people. I have been going here for about 3 years and it is well worth driving all the way to Lakeview from Wicker Park where I live.
The salon is very tasteful, cozy and boutique-​style — not your typical blinky-​blinky salon with 20 chairs where you are a nobody. You will even be served complimentary espresso, coffee or tea.
Once you go to H2C there is no going back to other salon!

Best-​Kept Secret in Lakeview
About 8 or 9 years ago, I wanted a new look. I happened into a trendy restaurant downtown (called Harvest on Huron) and saw a waitress sporting a stunning hairstyle. So, I decided to «follow the hair.» I waved her over and asked,“Where did you get your hair cut?” She told me about Jeff Stiglich at his nearby salon. I went there, and never went to anyone else again.
But here’s the clincher: I go to Jeff, even though I work at a hairdressing company by day that is known to be the «Harvard of beauty schools,» where I could get my hair cut, for free, all day, any day.
It turns out, people at my company also knew of Jeff. He had worked for us doing hair for a photo shoot. When I mentioned his name around at work, most remembered him and some who were hazy said, «Oh, he must have been good – and had great hands – or he would not have made it on set (for the photo shoot).»
They were right – Jeff has great hands, precision, creativity, a natural ability to listen, visualize and design, and does great color. He cares about his craft and being the best at what he does, and it shows. What’s more is that you can enjoy the cozy-​corner-​nook salon ambience with lil’ fireplaces, personalized attention (with only a couple of stylists including him at any one time, if that), and interesting banter and chuckles.
If you’re looking for a hair salon that’s super cool, original, quiet and out of the big salon rat race with reasonable prices, Hands 2 Create is a great little secret I hesitate to share. But I love my hair and the awesome job he does, and care about his success – so here you go friends.
