I cannot say enough good things about this little local gem.
I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new stylist who could handle my very processed hair (multiple rounds of high, ombré and balayage — all in near platinum blonde).
I had an appointment with Toni, a new stylist (with 8+ years experience). He transformed my grown out ombré balayage into a beautiful, rich light blonde that not only looks healthy, but expensive. He talked me through my whole process and made some recommendations I hadn’t thought of. I walked out with a gorgeous haircut and color that I have gotten nothing but compliments on.
The salon itself is on the smaller side, but the atmosphere is very fun. On the edge of boystown, it’s hip but very inviting. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.
I would absolutely recommend Toni to anyone!

I got partial highlights and a hair cut by the man that works there. I was very please at first but when I got home I realized he missed coloring a huge chunk of my hair! (Right in the front, VERY noticeable when my hair is up) I stopped in and asked if he could fix it. He said the cost would be $ 45 for ONE FOIL to fix the MISTAKE HE made. I’m very upset to write this bad review and will not return.

I’ve been coming here for 2 ½ years to see Aasiya. Not only is she a great stylist, she’s fun and easy to talk to, so I always enjoy myself here. I also get my eyebrows done complementary here — so that’s pretty cool.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I see Cristina and she has been a tremendous find. Not only is the place very clean and affordable, but Cristina is very easy to talk to which makes the haircut process even more enjoyable. I am a health care professional who has to maintain a clean cut appearance. Cristina’s haircuts are top notch and keeps me looking professional. Consistency is very important to me, and I was relieved that I found a place nearby that I can rely on to give me a great haircut every time. I have been to other salons in the neighborhood that cost twice as much, and weren’t as good. For affordable prices, friendly customer service, and a professional (and clean) environment, I give this place 5 stars.

I am very particular about my hair, it’s essentially really difficult for me to find a stylist who, according to me, is good and confident. I found all of this at ISA, I would recommend Cristina to anyone out there. Love the place, the stuff knows their clients by name — it’s a little friends hang out so to speak.

Cristina is a great hair stylist. I just love her. She is a great colorist, she always gives me exactly what I want. I always leave happy from her salon.
I moved to Chicago 4 years ago and I searched for the perfect hairstylist a lot. I’ve been to the fancy expensive salons in downtown and river north, I tried some European salons but there was always something that I didn’t like. I’m very picky.
Isa salon is around the corner from my house and I went there for a quick haircut one time. Since then, I always go to Cristina. I finally found my place. I get great hairstyles, cuts and color.
Cristina is very professional and does a great job all the time. She takes her time and you get the best service. Also everybody there is very nice.
The prices are very good too. I highly recommend Isa salon.

I’ve been to Chicago Male Salon and Robert Jeffrey and this place is just as good if not better for the price. She has been cutting my hair and giving me great results for the past year. She is friendly and her prices are great. I’ll be going back until I move out of the state.

Passed by a number of times on the way to my 10 dollar hair cut place, noticed that they were open on Sundays and late on other days, so decided to pop in the day before Thanksgiving and they were happy to see me even as they were ready to close. Friendly, outgoing, clean, good music but most importantly a good haircut by Asija.

Since I get my hair cut every two weeks, I have spent a considerable amount of time to find the best salon/​hair studio. While testing out a few places, I came across the ISA Hair Studio. I was, and still am, impressed every time I walk in there. They have very comfortable furniture in case I have to wait a few minutes, but most importantly, I walk out feeling as if I just received the best haircut of my life. Each time the experience is better and better. I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in as a walk in last winter w/​my partner. Rates posted on window list men’s buzz cuts/​$ 16.00
Men’s Hair cuts /​$ 26.00
We were less than enthusiastic for being charged 25.00 when we specifically had stated we wanted (2) buzz cuts and were charged 25.00 because we took advantage of add’l Svc’s that were freely offered. Frankly cannot understand how they remain in business — never see much activity.
