Good food bad customer service! The customer service today wasn’t the best. The cashier was rushing and ringing up orders so fast that she wasn’t paying any attention. Understandable that it’s a busy location within the hospital but at 11am and no line, service should be better. The cashier only charged for half my order even after telling her twice. With only having 45 mins for lunch having to spend an extra 10 mins waiting for the rest of my lunch and having to get back into line to pay is a pain.

I had the make your own omelette. It was fresh, well made and the cashier was friendly and helpful. For a quick delicious breakfast this place works for me.

This place is so disappointing. I have ordered from here twice. The first time I ordered they did not include salad dressing, obviously a crucial component that I let slide as I could use an alternative dressing I had on hand. Tonight — although I ordered 2 chicken kabob plates with extra tzatziki sauce for both plates they somehow managed to fail to include even one. I called twice asking them to bring some over. I have now waited over an hour and a half for sauce that has still not arrived. My food is ice cold — and the kicker? They are currently closed. This place is a prime example of gross negligence and complete lack of customer service — do yourself a favor and order from another location. I could not be more dissatisfied.

GRK is great for a quick Greek fix. The food is tasty and they give you great portions for how much you’re paying.

It’s conveniently located at Northwestern Hospital since I see a doctor here. But the first time I went; though the food was tasty; it was thrown all together on a plated item and I had a hard time distinguishing the various items. And it took weeks for the debit-card purchase to show up in my checking account. I would have overlooked that if it wasn’t for the fact that my second visit was pretty bad. My falafel was inedible — burned beyond belief — I can’t believe they actually sold it to me and I had to wait extra time for it.

First time eating at GRK Greek Kitchen. All of the veggies were fresh and the pita was really good. Sadly their falafels have a very weird taste. Pretty much the weirdest tasting falafel I have ever eaten and I eat a lot of falafels. Also for being a Greek place the Tzatsiki has zero flavor. I do appreciate though that this place is very health concious-but that said it would be great to have the calories on the meny board.

Meh. The food was good and filling but not as authentic as I would’ve hoped! Regardless, decent pricing. This is clearly the fast food of American mediterranean dining. Warning– it’s located INSIDE the hospital building! As tourists, we had no idea what to do until we called and the staff told us to come up to Level 2 of the hospital. We didn’t prefer eating in a hospital for our first meal in Chicago, but no worries — it was filling and interesting!

Bland. Assembly line, fast Greek, chain restaurant. That alone should tip you off. I had the chicken kabob plate with rice and salad. I would have been better off eating gruel. There was no flavor to anything.

I love their food, but hate that they run out of everything. Today they were out of spanikopota and rushing to close. I didn’t notice until I got to my department that my chicken and rice were cold(totally not cool!).

The Greek Chipotle! I’ve been here multiple times and still like it. My most favorite thing to get is the chicken kabob plate. The meat is cooked perfectly and is always fresh. The other ingredients are fresh as well. I grew up always going to Hubs on Lincoln Ave(which is owned by the same family as GRK is) & the chicken and rice remind me of Hubs. Same taste! Overall, great lunch option!

Glad the weather is improving so I can walk to a nearby restaurant next time. I went in for the lemon egg soup – sorry so soup. Greek fries – were soggy and barely any feta for $ 3.99. The Greek Salad left a lot to be desired, some of the lettuce was already turning and the salad was tasteless.

Slow slow process and some employees don’t want to be here. Training? Manager on duty? Great concept.

The chicken kabob plate is sooo good and so is the bowl of chili. This is definitely my favorite place to get a bite to eat at NMH.

I work nearby but have not been back in months. I actually liked the food, which makes this review all the more unfortunate. One of their employees was reaching into fries fresh out of the fryolator with his bare hands, and was popping some into his mouth before disappearing into the back kitchen area — he did this a few times! Considering everyone else was wearing gloves if they handled food directly, that was definitely out of place in a hospital cafeteria… and gross enough for me to be very reluctant to stop by again.

I am a nurse at Northwestern and often eat at Greek Kitchen on my breaks. Let me tell you about my last three experiences: 1. I asked for a greek salad, along with greek salad dressing. I get upstairs and no salad dressing was in the bag. Had to eat it dry. 2. Second time that week, I asked for a greek salad, made sure it had dressing with it, and told them to hold the onions due to an allergy. Sure enough, I get upstairs and have to pick through a salad covered in onions. 3. Thought I would give them a third chance. Big mistake. I ask for the same greek salad, no onions, with a wheat pita. As I am getting ready to pay, i notice a whopping pile of onions on the salad. They made a new salad, but then forget the pita. Needless to say, Greek Kitchen does not have their act together, continually messing up simple orders even for hospital employees. I DONOTRECOMMEND this restaurant.

Good spot to grab breakfast if you are visiting someone in Northwestern Hospital… or just if you work nearby. I stopped in after a physical last week and did not want Au Bön Pon so I saw this place and was like hmmm. Only a few people in line which worked out good for me. I got the Olympus omelet which was delicious. I includes ham, green pepper, onion and cheddar cheese(I substituted with feta to keep the greek vibe going). You can also get their omelet options as a handheld(served on a pita or wrap).

Northwestern has it down when it comes to providing delicious hospital food! It’s really great that they consciously(or maybe it was unconsciously) put a healthy fast food restaurant that has a ton of variety. During lunch hours, the wait can be pretty atrocious which is why if you’re visiting the hospital, it would be in your best interest to eat an odd hour(think 2PM). When I came by for dinner tonight, the food was as fresh as ever. I had myself greek salad with a chicken kebab added on. The feta was flavorful and my salad had a ton of color in it. The chicken kebab was moist and with the greek dressing, it was all quite tasty. Only downside is that my salad was pretty pricey at like $ 9.50, but it was a decently large portion size and it’s downtown. Go get yourself some GRK!

I love a good Greek salad… and to find one in a hospital??? Amazing! Easily customizable, as they make it in front of you, and on my second visit I decided to combine romaine and spinach lettuces, skip the onions, add extra olives and make it a salad I was proud to call my own! Plus: They don’t skimp on the feta! Nice job!

Annoyingly rude service, mediocre food! I hope these staff just happened to have a bad day on a SLOWSUNDAY coz no patients and anyone visiting patients there deserve that kinda rudeness. Well, no one should be deserving that kinda rudeness at all. We came in on a Sunday 2ish pm, so there was no rush hour lunch crowd from offices and the hospitals at all. No one was in line, except us ordering food, but the service we got was so rude that i wish i could have cancelled my order and gone next door which when i ordered a silly side item that’s not even on the menu, protein bar happily went above and beyond to accommodate.

I love this place! The food is quick and delicious. The employees are friendly and always give me a ton of meat in my pita. The food is easy on the pockets as well for those on a budget. I recommend you try the lamb & beef on pita(white or wheat doesn’t matter) with tzatziki, tomatoes & cucumbers, vinegar pickles, onions, and feta.
