I’m so happy Jaffa Bakery was out of food this afternoon. A co-worker and I were going to get some falafel at Jaffa Bakery, but when we got up there, it turns out that they were out of just about everything. Kind of lame. We had passed Mediterranean Delight on our way up the stairs, and we were set on food from that part of the world, so we gave them a try. Mmmm…I was very happy to see that they had more than just a falafel sandwich for me as a vegetarian. They had a lentil soup, falafel, several salads and stuffed peppers and stuffed cabbage and a Turkish tortellini. There were also several chicken options and kebobs. After verifying that the stuffed cabbage was vegetarian, I got it. So good! It was stuffed with rice, onions, mint almonds and tomatoes and was covered with a very tasty tomato sauce. It was gone very quickly. The best part was probably the yogurt sauce that came with it. It was garlicky, creamy and flavorful. It also came with some salad and a pita. Mediterranean Delight was a little more expensive Jaffa Bakery, but I definitely thought that the quality was and value was terrific. I’m still stuffed hours later. It also wasn’t greasy tasting at all, which is nice for a takeout lunch. Also, the service seemed a little awkward, The menu is right by the counter where you pay, but you have to order first and if there are other people in line, you can’t really see the menu. The guy who took my money seemed a little unsure of himself, but it could just be a fluke. Go here. I know this food court is kind of sketchy, but the food was delicious and I don’t want it to go out of business like so many other places in this food court.
