Not to brag, but I have a gold card. The truth is, it hasn’t been getting lots of action. I used to drink a lot of lattes and even frappuccinos(I wouldn’t get whip but let’s not pretend they the frappuccino isn’t basically a dessert). I’ve been trying to make smarter nutrition and diet choices and have even stopped drinking lattes(at least regularly). My current go to drink is a half pump of peppermint syrup and a splash of skim milk. Maybe more than splash, but it’s definitely less than a quarter cup of milk okay. Now here’s what I’m trying to say: Starbucks is fine if you dress it up in syrups, but it’s just okay if all you’re ordering is iced coffee. I haven’t tried their cold brew yet. Maybe it’s good, but I’m not so fond of their iced coffee and even threw it out once, that’s how much I disliked it. I still come by for the occasional seasonal treat or if there’s a new drink on the menu I’m curious to try. I tried the new toasted s’mores latte. Sure, it’s delicious but super sweet, and I’m glad I ordered a tall. I’m also glad they have smaller options now too. I hope they keep the mini frappuccino size around because I sometimes want a frappuccino, but even a tall is a lot of calories. Sure, it’s still a lot of sugar, but it’s still a couple ounces smaller and fewer calories. And today, I noticed a burnt smell while walking through there. I passed through on my way home without getting any coffee, lest the beans were burnt(though I did stop at market street for my mint iced coffee, I’m not going to lie). I really am more inclined to take the few extra steps to market street across the street, even if I’m already in the attached Harris teeter and right next to it to pick up some meds at the pharmacy. At least the people who work here are nice and there are sometimes dogs outside that I can pet!(But don’t pet unattended dogs! Always ask the owner. But you knew that.)

This Starbucks location is an extension of the Harris Teeter at Meadowmont. It is extremely small in that there are only about five indoor tables. There are some outside tables for those enjoyable fall and spring days. One concern I have with this location is the fact that it closes at 8 pm. I tend to be a night owl that likes to do my internet work at a café or coffee shop. I know the«location» is available if you walk in and enter through Harris Teeter after 8 but their is no option to grab a bite to eat or drink.

Who doesn’t love a Starbucks? This location is very clean, extremely close to home, and the best part about it is that it’s connected to Harris Teeter, so you can get your groceries done at the same stop! The staff were very nice, and they provide very quick service. There weren’t a ton of people there, so there was very little wait to order/receive our drinks. No issues with the quality of the drinks, either — delicious as always!
