Buon Appetito NY Pizza

This was my go to delivery place until today when they told me they will longer deliver to my house. My ZIP code was listed as a deliverable address and in the last year I have ordered from here a handful of times with no issue. As far as delivery went, this was the best around compared to Dominoe’s or some place like that. Now that they won’t deliver I probably will never have their pizza again. It was pretty good pizza, but if I am going to have to drive to get the pizza I will be visiting Ciro’s pizza whose pizza I like better. If you are in Chantilly, this is the best pizza you will get. I have had sandwiches their too and they are pretty good as well.
It’s disappointing to me that they no longer will deliver here so I guess one of those crappy fast food pizza places will now get my business.

Had a slice of the cheese pizza tonight for the first time. Definitely the best ny style pizza in the area, didn’t get a chance to try anything else but it was pretty packed and some of the pasta dishes looked pretty good. Definitely stop by if you love NY style pizza

I’m a big fan of a particular mom and pop pizza joint in Fairfax and when I moved away from there I was on the hunt for another place similar to it.
The pizza here is delicious. The sauce is slightly different from my favorite pizza place in Fairfax but it’s still very good. The crust is perfect with a nice chew. The toppings are made with quality ingredients. I appreciate that their salads come with complimentary bread rolls. Plenty of indoor seating is available. We usually order take out since it’s close to home. Employees are always friendly and quick. In addition to pizza, they also serve salads, subs, pasta, meat dishes, and desserts.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but this place is perfect if you are in the area.

Why are my two reviews of this restaurant NOT recommended? That’s ridiculous! Why am I bothering to take my personal time to write reviews if no one is going to read them because they’re not somehow making it into the proper algorithm? And when they’re NOT recommended, people might read it and think it’s «useful», «cool» or «funny» they can’t mark it as such — therefore keeping it for being recommended. What gives?
I rated Buon Appetito back in 2010 and it’s still a 5-​star joint. I love it. I call the pizza in and pick it up 10 minutes later. Five to six years later and the staff is still friendly, pizza is consistently great, restaurant is always clean. The Greek salad and caprese salad are always good. The tortellini with alfredo sauce is good — but I prefer the cheese pizza to everything else.
You don’t need reservations to eat in. It’s great for lunch or dinner. Kid-​friendly. Plenty of parking. Great prices.

What’s not to like about Buon Appetito? My family has probably eaten here three hundred times or more over the past fifteen years. We don’t tend to tax the menu — pizza for the kids and husband, Greek salad for me, with the occasional foray into luna caprese, fiora, or baked ziti. But everything is always reliably really good. The few times that I’ve ordered wine, the pour has been gratifyingly generous. This is a place where we are always comfortable and always treated right. I hope they keep on forever, and I’d recommend «B.A.», as we call it, to anyone.

Pretty good food tbh. The Steak and Cheese was very good. The pizza was not greasy at all but I personally think their was a lot of dough. Overall great restaurant! Coming back!

This place is amazing. Fast delivery and the food is awesome. My fat cousins really love their cheese cake!

This place is really good, haven’t tried anything bad yet! Cheesesteak GOOD!!!, Cheesecake GOOD!!!, Calzones REALLY GOOD… The only reason they got 4 stars is they’re delivery time. I was directed from their Fairfax to store to the their Chantilly store «for faster service» but I felt that for being so close it should have been delivered quicker BUT really good food.

I was in the area for a movie and I went here because there were so many good reviews. This pizza spot is located inside of a shopping center not to far from Lotte Grocery Store. Arrived around 9pm and it was practically empty.
I ordered…
A pizza with pepperoni, sausage and spinach and it was ok. My friend ordered a pizza with pepperoni, sausage and a few other meats on it and he loved it. The offer deep dish and the pizza I got was thin crust. I prefer thin crust so maybe that played a part in me not enjoying my pizza as much.
Calamari — Unfortunately it was overcooked (dry) and not much seasoning at all. I added salt and lemon but still wasn’t all that good to me.
They serve red and white wine and they have a nice selection of beer.
The owner of the restaurant was there and he was absolutely delightful! Suggested I get a red wine (i’m sorry I don’t recall the name) to go with my dinner and it was a excellent choice. Really wish I had got the name but it was a perfect balance of sweet and dry. Very good.
We also ordered a Cold Italian Sub to go. Unfortunately it was just ok. Nothing stood out about it with the exception of the sandwich oil we bought to add to it.
They sell there own brand of sandwich oil which is a mixture of olive oil, spices, red vinegar, etc. I didn’t personally try it but my dining partner said it was pretty good.
My overall experience here was pleasant because the customer service was good and the owner was cordial and friendly. While the pizza was just ok to me I would consider going back to try other dishes because of the great customer service and the cool owner.

I come from a family that travels all the time and out of all the Italian restaurants that I have been to I would have to say this is my favorite. The atmosphere is much more family like than the other restaurants, the staff is very friendly and the quality of the pizza is excellent. I would absolutely be visiting this location regularly. :)

I did not like the pizza, the cheese was rubbery, the sauce is ok. But the pizza was not burn and it was a nice temp. The Greek sales fresh, but just the house salads with feta added (Who puts carrots and a Greek salad?)

This place is pretty decent! We recently moved to a new apartment, and we’re looking for new delivery places to start frequenting.
I got the stuffed shells with tomato sauce, and my boyfriend got spaghetti with tomato sauce. We also got a piece of the chocolate cake for dessert!
First off, the portions are HUGE! (With one exception, which I’ll get to later!) So even though it might seem a little expensive, you’ll get at least 2 meals out of it.
The rolls they came with were good, even though they didn’t give us any butter for them. But they’d be better if they were brushed with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese — hint hint to the owners!
My boyfriend loved his spaghetti, and I was okay with my shells. I thought the shells/​cheese filling itself was fantastic — I just couldn’t get behind the sauce. I’ll still eat there again, I’m just going to be trying out their different sauces. We ordered online, and it lets you pick any kind of sauce you want for your dish!
The only disappointment was the chocolate cake. It was like $ 6, and was the tiniest slice of cake I’ve ever seen in my life! Damn! For $ 6 I better get a impressive slice of cake with a scoop of ice cream — lol!
All in all, I highly recommend! Just avoid the desserts ;)
Next time we’ll be trying their pizza!

A regular stop when in Chantilly when in need of a pizza fix. Generous with sauce… lots of interesting looking lunch specials with salad and bread for ten bucks.

At first, I thought the pizza was alright but once i went in to eat, I realized how good the pizza was. My coworkers and I love their pizza.
The cheese tastes so good and the pizza overall is delicious.

Great little NYC style pizza restaurant.
Pizza is good — sauce is fantastic.
Caprese salad is great.
Steak and cheese is decent.
I’d go back.

About a 2 – 2.5: Buon Appetito NY Pizza is owned by Chef Merone, and this casual Italian and pizza place offers a breakfast menu, as well as lunch/​dinner, featuring items like salads, subs, NY style pizzas, Sicilian pan pizzas, pastas, and Italian desserts. Some friends and I came here to grab a quick dinner — I tried the steak & cheese (the bread was nice and crusty, but the meat was underseasoned and the cheese was not melted all the way T_​_​_​T); a slice of cheese pizza (this was really wet and soggy, and was just not a fan); an arancini (a fried rice ball that was filled with rice, salami, ham, and cheese; while the serving was pretty generous, the filling was just not flavorful and more on the bland side; I expected it to be a bit more savory, but it was just really mushy in texture and not appetizing); and, french fries (it seems as if the oil that they used for frying was old, so the fries had an off taste to them). There were plenty of seating inside, and the staff here were really friendly and nice. I’m glad I was able to check Buon Appeitto out, but I don’t think I’ll be back!

Tucked away in the Metrotech Shopping Center (near Coffeesmith and Hibachi Buffet), one can find a nice, delicious pizza place.
One day, while I was craving pizza, I drove to Little Caesar’s, only to find that they had shutdown. Disappointed, I went straight to my Unilocal app to locate pizza that was nearby and would satisfy my craving, and was not Papa Johns, Dominios, or Pizza Hut. I came across Buon Appetito, and after reading some reviews and looking through some pictures, I decided to give this place a try.
I’m glad I did. I ordered just a basic pepperoni and sausage pizza, and to my surprise it came in the shape of a square (or rectangle?)! The pizza was delicious! We (there was only two of us) ended up eating the entire thing within an hour. No regrets.
It’s not the greatest pizza in the world, nor is it in my top 5 pizza places, but it’s still rather delicious. It’s worth a try, and it’s fairly priced. I would definitely go back for more.

These guys are true Italians. They are very nice and always happy. I love the house salad and cheese pizza. Everything is made fresh and fast. I finish my meal with the canoli which I recommend to everyone!

Ordered delivery from Buon Appetito — they came on time, but their pizza wasn’t anything to brag about. The crust was extremely soft, unlike NY pizza.
The Sicilian pizza with extra cheese was reminiscent of Elio’s pizza. When I opened the box it looked like the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, but with cheese instead of water. At least they came through on the extra cheese request! Kids would probably love it, but I didn’t care for it. The dough reminded me of a Krispy Kreme donut because of how squishy it was. The pizza was also pretty bland, so I added my own garlic and red pepper flakes to make it come more alive.
I think this would be a great place to take the family, but if you like brick oven NY-​style pizza, I don’t recommend it. Even their regular pizza wasn’t crispy. The onion rings were the crispiest things we ate, but they were pretty subpar — more dough than onion.
I wouldn’t order from here again, but would totally recommend a large family to go here because I think kids would love it.

A good italian restaurant. Their garlic bread is amazing. I ordered lasagna and it was good. It was definitely cheesy and the marinara is the right amount. The dish needed a little more flavor in the meat though. Their caesar salad was good too, fresh greens. Their sauce flavor for the caesar was on point but they put too much of the sauce for me. The décor was good and the place was clean. I’ll come back here next time for the pizza.
