The food and the service was great. Will be returning. Was seated quickly. The food was classic Mexican.

I knew what to expect of the décor of this place before I entered because I’d read other reviews. That didn’t matter to me. The restaurant definitely needs a lot of updating, chairs,(get rid of tv). What upset me the most is the lack of friendly service. As soon as we walked in the lady looked miserable and she did the whole time we were dining… even after I complained about there being a piece of plastic in my food! Yes plastic. I ordered the vegetable fajita which came out smelling wonderful. Portions of rice and extras were small but oh well. But, while I was chewing my food mid way through my meal I realized there was a piece of plastic in my mouth. I let the lady know who was not at all apologetic. I understand that there are times when you might find a hair or the odd piece of plastic(possibly from packaging, utensils. whatever) in your food… mistakes happen but because service was bad and on top of that, portions tiny, and then plastic in my mouth the whole experience for me was bad. Food tasted fine… not great but fine/good. The bill was discounted but I really think the owner should train or hire employees who can give better customer service. Was upset today because I had high expectations of this place… maybe that’s what the problem is.

Visited on a Sunday night. There were a few other families there when we entered and were seated promptly and had our complimentary chips and salsa in no time. The Wife and I are big fans of Mexican food and this place did not disappoint. The menu is extensive and relatively cheap for the amount of food you receive. I had the pollo mole while the wife had a chicken burrito. Both were excellent, and on par with our local spot that we both LOVE ! The employees were friendly and seemed to genuinely care if we were enjoying ourselves. 5 de Mayo is a byob, so the ability to save by bringing your own alcohol is great. The parking area is layed out a bit disjointed, but that is probably the only negative thing I have to say about the place. Cannot wait to return !!!

I want to give this place a good review but the food makes that impossible. It all looks really good when it comes out but it’s very obvious that it’s frozen food. My boyfriend ordered the chimichangas which come with 2. They offered chicken or beef as the filling. He wanted one of each but they said that they couldn’t do it because it ‘doesn’t come that way.’ If this were any fresh mexican place, it’s literally a matter of scooping up meat into a tortilla– not here. It’s too bad because the interior is cute and the location is great but… yuck.

It pains me to write this 3 star review Décor is kitschy mexican Pretty damn adorable Family run business I really wanted to love this place and if I wasn’t with a party of 16 I think I would have I may ask for a tour of the kitchen as a condition of me eating there again We made reservations for 16 the day before They broke us up into 3 tables The food took quite a while, in fact it seemed like one dish at a time diner by diner table by table Probably took 25 minutes from when our first guest was served The food itself was very good Most of us ordered fajitas chicken and steak Very fresh, crispy vegetables My daughter had a shrimp and scallop burrito Prices are extremely reasonable The service just killed the experience I will however give it a shot again as a 4 top Don’t forget the restaurant is byob

We gave them a shot during a vacation recently. I was a little put off by their tacky interior(Hello boat seats, damaged tables and mariachi band wall hangings!). The menu was a bit curious. Mexican AND Italian? Whatever works, I suppose! Though I was disappointed to see that they don’t attempt any real fusion of the two cuisines; you won’t find any Chorizo lasagna or Puerco Picatta here. The service could have been a bit more friendly and prompt, but wasn’t really that bad. Disregarding all that, after trying the food I would definitely recommend eating here. The quality makes up for the rest. The guacamole, the Chorizo tacos, the Chimichanga, and the Fajitas were all delicious. The Flauta was a little dry, but have you ever had one that wasn’t? Give them a chance. Decent authentic Mexican food isn’t always easy to find, and the Italian menu(which we did not sample) may provide a more familiar option for the picky members of your party.
