I prefer stopping in Cape May on my runs between Florida and New York. It’s way better than stopping in that hole they call Atlantic City(if you have ever been to Las Vegas then Atlantic City will be a big dissapointment). The harbor that South Jersey Marina sits in is well protected and is framed by some characteristic stilt homes on one side. The marina staff are very helpful. You can fuel up from any slip you pull into. The main face dock is an old wood floating dock that should be replaced soon. The rest of the marina has very nice concrete floating docks. The walk to town from here is scenic, taking you through neighborhoods with some of the finest collections of Victorian homes I’ve ever seen. Many of them are B&B’s. The town area is also very nice. I highly recommend stopping here, whether by boat or for a nice long weekend stay at one of the B&B’s.(or do both!)
