El Pollo Loco

Despite having new people coming in and out: and the trainees taking over the register, above all, their customer service is nice. They go around trying to keep the dinning area clean and once in a while they walk with the condiment tray and offer it to patrons. For as many people I see walking in and out and leaving a horrid mess at times, the employees do a great job of tidying up.
Very rare for me to comment and give a high score for service, BUT! I was compelled by their nice treatment to do so.
Back to food:
Their $ 5 combos are not bad. Good value and taste for your buck. I have tried their under 500 calorie menu too; I’m pretty impressed for a fast food chain.

Okay seriously this is the worst place ever. My co worker and I both got food poisoning from the chicken avocado salad. More than sure it was the chicken. We had it for lunch and two hours later we were puking AT WORK. I will NEVER step foot there again. BEWARE FOOD POISONING IF YOU COME HERE.

I went To this location on drive thru on Monday during rush hour and I have to say the customer service was great! Carina is what I like to say Amazeballs! Carina You Rock So Sweet will definitely come back again!

Went to my usual location and they ran out of the pieces that I eat so I went out of my way to this location. The service was great. Sophia was a sweetheart… Too bad for this location she told me it was her last day. She was wonderful and made my night.

Ohhh, it’s ok I guess. I’d give it 2 ½ out of five. They’ve gotten my orders wrong a few times and don’t seem to care about it. I keep going back though because I love the chicken, it’s just superb. I quit going to Zankou’s because they charge way too much. El Pollo is pretty cheap. The chicken is what I go there for. The other dishes are pretty average and in some cases, disgusting (the mac n cheese, for instance.)

My husband and I came in today, both of our orders were wrong, and I asked one of the cashiers if they could kindly redo our burrito and the pollo bowl.
The cashier handed the food to the lady who’s the cook in the kitchen and told her that the meal was incomplete. I saw the lady make a face and direct comments towards my husband and I. I saw her name and it says, alicia, an older lady, and she also said a few bad words in spanish toward us thinking my husband did not understand spanish.

They always forget something and the girl at the drive thru always says good morning no matter what time it is. Lol. I can’t.

Oh my God! I thought the employee were terrible and rude. But, the fuckin manager whew. She needs to get fired and skewered! And yeah yeah she could use a lil bit of excercise!

Great place to have a healthy lunch or dinner, considering this is a fast food establishment the quality and taste of food is phenomenal. Service is always good no complaints, the salsa bar is cool but with some tasty spicy Mexican style salsas! This is definitely my go to spot for some good healthy food.

I’ve been eating at this location for 20 year’s. 1 time I had such a bad experience all around I filled out the customer service response. In less than a week they got back to me. I appreciated not only the quick response but that they took the time to get back to me. It’s been wonderful since.

I’ve been to some bad el pollo locos before but this is the worst one. Prepare to have your order messed up and to deal with rude employees if you decide to come to this location.

This was the 5^th and final time I will visit the El Pollo Loco Winnetka. With 2.5 stars, seemingly the same complaints over and over from different customers, I really don’t know why this store is even in business. The continuous botch orders and debate with you when you return and confront them about the issue. After the debate then they offer to rectify the problem. Why can’t the get it right the first time. Never returning to them again. If I were El Pollo Polo Corporate I’d save my money and image and shut it down.

I had not been to this El Pollo in a very long time — not since they remodeled the whole place and put in the drive-​thru, and not since they became a publicly traded company. This location is much better than the grungy Woodland Hills one, and select other ones in the valley. I was trapped at work on a Saturday afternoon, couldn’t pack a lunch so had to go out to eat. Cute gay boy behind the counter was so very friendly and told me to «just take your time, let me know when you’re ready»… I got the (new on the menu) Ranchero Burrito and oh lord it was delicious. I am partial to Del Taco’s burritos and was never wild about El Pollo’s but this one was really really tasty and their hot sauce — they must have changed the recipe because they did away with the blah ones and this one was just outstanding. This burrito beat Poquito Mas by a lot. It was right up there with any I’d expect to get in a nice Mexican restaurant. I shall be returning… and I hope the same guy is on shift next time.

Sometimes you dont feel like fried chicken so i come here for their roasted chicken instead. Their mashed potatoes & gravy is decent. I actually like their roasted corn compared to their corn on the cob. They give you plenty of salsa, dipping sauce and tortillas. I’ve been here a couple times already and they haven’t gotten my order wrong yet. *knock on wood* Plus i like how close they are to where i stay

They have a delicious ultimate chicken bowl I always substitute the rice for black beans so it’s chicken, pinto beans, Black beans, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Staff is always excellent here well mannered and nice. i used to go to the pollo loco in canoga park by topanga blvd and roscoe but that asian looking manager has the worst tempers ever and horrible service. so i decided to give the extra drive to go to this other polo loco in winnetka.

I had a quick dinner with close friends a few nights ago. I don’t believe they spent enough time preparing the food. One plate had freshly cooked chicken, the other had what I am sure is the last of that bunch, therefore, the meat was dry. One burrito had beans, the other identical order didn’t have beans. I ordered a salad first, I think she missed that. My order came later as everyone was eating. My salad was tasteless and the tortilla cold and hard around it. Not a returning customer. 2 stars for giving me my late meal for free… took a few bites at least.

**** STAY AWAY ****.
I spoke with their Customer Service HQ. for over 1 hour, about extreme and *overt* health violations; ie: using gloved hands to move containers of raw chicken waiting to be put on the grill, then using the same gloved hand to spread cheese, cabbage, avocado and other ingredients onto a burrito in the making. It was as if that employee thought the plastic gloves where there to keep **her** hands and nails clean, not avoid cross contamination of food. The manager at their HQ. was HORRIFIED when I explained this.
The entire experience, was UNBELIEVABLE; from the untrained cashier, to the TEENAGE STUPIDVISOR who didn’t know WHO the manager was, to the incorrect refund she issued when i refused to eat the contaminated food, right up to and including the venomous remarks made in Spanish by the cook/​staff about «El Gringo, Diablo Blanco» («American, White Devil» for those of you who ‘don’t speak Spanish) and the rest of the rude comments the kitchen staff THOUGHT i didn’t understand. AGAIN, their Manager at HQ was HORRIFIED at the blatant racism and ignorance.
I called Los Angeles County Health Dept immediately upon departure and filed a complaint in writing. El Pollo Loco HQ is sending a team to investigate and retrain.
STAY AWAY unless you want food poisoning!

Chicken was a bit on the dry side. Neighborhood is definitely not great either. If you like El Pollo Loco like I do, it’s probably best to go to a different location.

The staff is nice place is clean food it’s good but they never get my order right I’m always missing something and it takes forever !!! I keep on coming here hopefully it will get better

Why does the chicken pieces I get now look like they have shrunken or gotten smaller. I mean I have heard of grocery stores giving you less but charging you the same but Chicken places doing it too? The size of these drumsticks is a joke. They are almost as small as a hot wing.
