My husband and I had such an enjoyable experience this past weekend here at Fermentations. Cannot remember the gal’s name (she was there Saturday morning 3⁄12), but she was helpful with naming some good restaurants to try out and was so pleasant. Lots of different wines to purchase and cute wine novelty items and décor.

$ 5 for 5 wine tastings? Yes, please! Great local wines, generous pours, tasty snacks available for purchase. Friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Nice selection of wine and wine-​themed merchandise and gourmet food items. Enjoy a $ 5 sampling flight, then purchase a glass of wine and relax at one of their high top tables and snack on some prosciutto, cheese, and crackers. Great light lunch :) Don’t forget to buy some bottles to take home!

I absolutely loved my wine tasting experience here. I have never done this before but me and my family decided to go for my aunts 50th birthday. The ladies behind the bar were amazing and hard working. They were really busy but somehow throught the crazyness, all 9 of us were attended perfectly.
we purchased 2 wine bottles, kept two glasses, purchased cheese and crackers for the tasting and wow, amazing time. I am so glad we came here. i would highly recommend this place. 100%

Fermentations is in the center of old town Cambria in a large and open old comercial building. The owners are friendly, and Ron was very knowledgable about the regional wines we were tasting. The $ 5 tasting I did included 5 reds all made here on the central coast. All were wonderful. They had a nice display of local olive oils, balsamic vinegers and mustard mixes you could sample between tastes as well.
Besides selling the wines available for tasting (20 varieties) they also have a pretty interesting collection of wine related knick knacks, signs and accessories for sale.
We visited on a rainy day, and the owner, Ron, said it was not unusual for people to have a tasting, choose a glass of their favorite then settle into one of the window tables and use their free WiFi while they sipped and watched the world go by… seemed like an attractive option the day we were there!

We were early for checking in at the Cambria Pines Lodge, and this place with its fun wine slogans looked like an inviting way to spend an hour, and it really was. We tasted five wines for $ 5, and got to choose off their extensive list, which is a nice change, because I could taste the Prosecco, while my husband could try only reds. We agreed the pinot noir and chocolate port were winners. There are also tastings of vinegar, oils, and mustard to clear your palate before the next taste.
The pourer was very pleasant, and we found some cute gifts and cards while savoring some nice central coast wines. Discounts if you buy three or more bottles, so we grabbed a Prosecco too, in case of an emergency…

Stopped by here with a friend of mine, we stopped in Cambria for a rest from our trip to Big Sur. Wine tasting is $ 1 per glass, so we went ahead and did 10 tastings each, it was a lot of fun and it was our first time ever wine tasting. The whole shop is adorable and full of cute gifts and knick knacks for wine lovers. The staff was super friendly and was more than happy to answer all our questions about wine terminology and all our other curiosities about wine. It was a really good experience, one of the best stops of our road trip.

Here for a couple nights and thought I’d mosey on over to check out some wines, and the place did not disappoint! Monica and Connie are so sweet and nice and the Reds I tried were very good. I ended up chatting for a while with Monica and enjoying a couple glasses of the petite Syrah, also bought a couple bottles to take home. Friendly people, and a great shop.

Loved doing a wine tasting here! We were waiting for our reservations at Linns which is right across the street. Decided to pass the time with the 2 for 1 tasting that the Pines Lodge has given us as part of our package. The thing I loved about this place was that it wasn’t just one winery’s wine, it was a whole mixture. So you pick your five wines from a whole list — reds, whites, sweets, sparkling. My boyfriend and I have very different tastes so we were each able to explore our own options.
The woman pouring was very nice and we were the only 2 in the shop at the time so we wandered between each pour. Just a great casual environment with a fun variety. We ended up returning home with a great wine that we both liked.
I’m told they change their menu every so often, as my parents went the next month and it was different so you can keep trying new things.

A bit more of a knick-​nacky place than an actual wine bar. They do have an ok selection and apparently the wine tasting is a good deal (unfortunately I cannot comment on that). However, most of the front of the store is filled with little «cute» wine related items. It’s a good place to go if you’re looking for a little souvenir or something.

If you’re staying in the area, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. They have both red and white wines for tasting, and plenty of room — they are several tables inside, and a nice standing bar area for tasting. 5 tastes for $ 5, but if you are staying at Cambria Pines Lodge, ask them for tasting vouchers — we got two tastings for the price of one and one wine glass was included to take home :)
The only wine that I didn’t like was the Gewurtztraminer, which I usually love — but theirs was really sweet! Cute items & décor are available for purchase inside the shop, too!

Wine tasting love it had a great time .For 6 bucks you can taste 5 glasses of wine they also have cheese that your able to taste. Don’t expect to have a full glass just right amount for you to buy some more.

This is a great spot for wine tasting. You can taste 5 wines for $ 5. You get to select your own from a sheet that they give you (which also gives you a place to write any notes or comments about what you sample). The staff is friendly and they are open later than other tasting rooms.
I also loved browsing the rest of the store. They have a ton of cute wine gifts for the home or a party, apparel and a selection of foods for purchase to enjoy with your wine. I would definitely recommend making this a stop if you’re in the area.

Cute lil wine shop located in the town of Cambria. They had about 15 reds, whites, ports on the tasting menu to choose from. The staff were very friendly and definitely gave us a very generous pour. The only thing was that they were not very knowledgeable about the wines they were selling or were able to provide pairing recommendations.
Overall, a pleasant experience.
