I read some of the reviews complaining about the staff, and I don’t get it. The bartender Jillian was great. The place is really cool, isn’t the«cookie cutter cater to the snooty tourist places“‘ and is a must go if you like casual places with cold, cheap beer. We’ll be back every time we’re in town!!!

Just awfully rude! Stopped in on a Saturday night for a night cap while in town and the blond bartender was extremely rude! She carded us and noticed my DL was expired. She then called me an old one! And said she couldn’t serve me. That’s fine, I didn’t realize my DL was expired but she didn’t have to be so rude and call me old? My husband and I were really bothered and will not come back here ever again!

Hey Mozzi, you’re bar is not cool enough to treat tourists so astonishingly rude. I come here for a week every thanksgiving and you behave like high priests when you open my Bud Light. It is tedious and boring, not cutting edge This isn’t indicative of the whole town, but I do want to go back sporting a Cambria Sucks T Shirt. That being said, this bar is

Ok, tourists, this is how it is(from a local), we love you. Please understand this IS a small town. We rely upon tourist trade for our livelihood BUT there is a way to do things in our town that will make you fit right in. To address the negative reviews– #1– There is no waitress table service… You may have noticed that you ARENOT serviced at your table. Perhaps you should have noticed(in your 2 hour 2+attendances) that this is the case, in your two, 2 star reviews. So sorry that when there is 1 bartender for 30+ people, but yes, you must actually STEPUP to said bar to order drinks. No one will hold your dainty hand whilst you pine for service. As to the food, there is fresh popcorn(with a variety of flavor salts upon request) but no actual food, there are several absolutely delightful restaurants within walking distance… as this IS a small town, most close by 9pm… sorry…deal with it. Sarcastic overload over… Mozzis is an absolutely excellent example of a small town bar. Some reviewers claim a «Cowboy Porn» motif, but they are asshats… Please come see for yourself…

Local Dive bar in Cambria, a nice place to kick back and have a few. Not a touristy place but they will serve anyone with cash. Good drinks, friendly locals and travelers, and a pretty clean bathroom. They have a pool table and a few players. Live music at times.

My mom and I were visiting Cambria and had asked around about a cool bar or pub to go to. Mozzi’s was suggested to us by some locals and we decided it sounded like a place we would enjoy. I’m a big reviewer and like to check out Unilocal beforehand, so I did just that. I noticed, first thing which was good, that most of the reviews were positive. I did see a few lower reviews which made me curious so I read them. I found a majority of them were lower because patrons felt like they were not welcome and that they were overlooked more than locals who frequent Mozzi’s. That was kind of something I was worried about in going to Mozzi’s but I am SO glad we went with our gut. We walked into Mozzi’s and could not have felt more at home! Everyone, including the patrons, were so nice, made room for us at the bar to order or sit and suggested beers if we had never had them before. In all honesty, we felt so comfortable and at ease that we felt like locals ourselves! The atmosphere was great, the decorations were so funky and cool, and it was very clean and well kept! But what made the experience even better for my mom and me was the bar tender, Heather. She greeted us with a big smile and an upbeat, cheerful, and welcoming attitude while still maintaining professionalism and knowledge about what she was suggesting and serving to us. She let me taste a few beers I was hesitant about because I wasn’t familiar with them and told us a bit about the local breweries we weren’t too familiar with. I’m a girl who likes a big and bold IPA, and I was very pleased with my choice of the Tap It IPA which was one of Heather’s suggestions. Before we headed out, Heather actually came to see what we would be up to since she heard us talking about our plans and suggested even more cool things to do and some places to grab good beers on our way out. She sat with us and chatted for a bit, offered us muffins before we left, and ended our time at Mozzi’s with a smile as well. I would highly suggest this place for anyone who enjoy neat bars and good drinks. You can bring in your own food, as they don’t serve any, play pool, chat with other patrons, and enjoy your time for sure. We will absolutely be back when in the area again!

«Dive Bar» is a relatively new term, referring to a local bar that is slightly seedy but caters to a younger crowd. Mozzi’s Saloon fills the bill to a «T», but in an earlier time, when it was Camozzi’s, It was like many local bars on the Central Coast which have transitioned to the«Dive Bar» motif: western kisch, and a play on their historical roots including HJ’s(formerly Happy Jacks) in Morro Bay, and the Old Cayucos Saloon in Cayucos(formerly Paul’s Place). Back in the day, they really did cater to locals, because the central coast had yet to become the tourist attraction it is today. Local ranchers and fishermen came to have a Burgie and a shot of Early Times, shoot the bull, and occasionally fight. It’s a different time now, but Mozzi’s seems to fill the bill for what it tries to be today.

Twice BF and I have wandered into Mozzi’s to grab a drink, and twice we’ve been ignored. Other reviewers are unfortunately right on the money when they say this spot favors locals — granted I’m sure its the locals that ultimately keep them afloat, but a hell of a lot of tourists walk Main Street, especially on the weekends. Our money is just as good as theirs! We first popped in about 18 months ago, after already receiving the cold shoulder from the bartender at the Cambria Pines Lodge, and Mozzi’s was no different — we were invisible. On our most recent visit, we wandered in on a Sunday afternoon to find the place quite lively with patrons at the bar and using the pool tables. We sat down hoping for a server, and nothing. We fully intended to have at least one drink but since we couldn’t get served, we quickly used the restroom and left. As we left, an employee chased us down and loudly chastised us saying the restrooms were not for public use. Lady, we tried to be customers — you wouldn’t let us. Get over yourself and while you’re at it, get a clue! Other folks call this a charming dive bar and say their visit to Cambria hasn’t quite started until they’ve embibed here. We tried, we failed. Another far friendlier local said back when she could come for visits, their vacation started after downing a pitcher of margaritas at nearby Las Cambritas. We’ll definitely give that a shot next time, or continue to swing by Fermentations or Wine: Taste for some vino, in extremely welcoming and lovely environments. Mozzi’s, you blew it. But it doesn’t look like we missed much anyway. Small town dive bars aren’t exactly hard to come by. Thanks for the bathroom, it was worth every penny you allowed us to spend.

I recently went to Mozzi’s. In the beginning, with the day bartender, Laura, our experience was wonderful!!! Then we left and went back to our motel, changed our clothes and had dinner at Linn’s. Upon our arrival back to Mozzi’s to celebrate my birthday, there was a different bartender with blonde hair and a really bad attitude. She raised our drink prices and said it was due to paying«the band». Further during the night, my husband ordered another round of drinks, but his $ 20 bill mysteriously disappeared off the bar. My husband insisted that the bartender stole it. Then the blonde bartender said she wouldn’t serve me because we had an issue over money. I have never been treated so badly by a bartender. She was over the top, she ruined my birthday with all her attitude!!! Totally unnecessary. I will think twice about ever coming back to Mozzi’s. That blonde bartender was a BITCH!!!

A funny little place that smelled entirely too much of cigarettes for my taste. Unfortunately, that one complaint probably dropped this review from 4 stars down to 2, as the rest of the establishment was pretty cool. The wall-art is basically cowboy-porn. I didn’t snap a photo, though in retrospect, I should have. The drinks are plentiful, which is surprising for a country western themed bar. There was live music, which was neat, and a billiards table near the front entrance. It’s a small town, so there’s always room to move about. Fix the smell of smoke(that got into all my nice clothes), and you’ll get yourself a big bump in stars.

$ 2 beers, live music, pool tables, free popcorn, open till 2am and Ron, the only cab driver in the small town of Cambria who will drop you home and can also tow your car as his cab is a towtruck. Definitely the place to go for an awesome night

Great local spot. Monday night happy hour was amazing! $ 2 domestic drafts and $ 3 – 4 others. The pool table was fun and in a great spot where you weren’t worried about hitting anyone :) The owner brought us brand new pool balls to try out, and he brought a bunch of pizzas for the patrons to enjoy for free!!! Fun and friendly locals.

I’m scratching my head at how this place gets called a «dive bar.» It’s freaking clean and really nice. Living most of my adult life in the shitty south and experiencing a 3 – 5 month stint(can’t remember exactly how long, it was a blur…) in New Orleans — yah, this place is definitely NOT a dive bar. BEWARE though fellow tourists! The awesome Chicago dog and pickled eggs featured on their website are only sold on special occasions. Kinda a bummer because we probably would have stayed here all night long and drank while scarfing pickled eggs but it was not meant to be. Boo. Drinks were cheap, good beer on tap, and friendly service make this place a-ok.

This place gets a lot of credit for having a rocking reggae and soul band playing on a Friday night. The guys were really bringing down the house and had everyone in motion. So that was great. Everything else was either so-so, such as the beer selection and mixed drinks, or really bad, like the service and attitude from certain employees.

On a motorcycle ride with wife and another couple, no destination in mind. Wound up in Cambria and stopped for a drink(I allow myself only one when I’m riding). We found Mozzi’s Saloon, which appears to be THE bar in Cambria. It was maybe a little past noon, the place was full of people. Interesting and diverse crowd. Some were playing pool on the single table, some few at some tables, and a small crowd at the bar. The bartender was friendly and I was impressed with the relatively short wait, considering the volume she was handling alone. Our drinks were spot-on. Another employee kept the popcorn machine popping. Folks were friendly, and we met another couple who were also Harley riders. They came over and introduced themselves, and we may all meet up next week. Nothing fancy here, just the way I want a saloon to be. We will be back.

Cambria drinking on our way to the Hearst castle led us into Cambria and Mozzi’s done caught our attention. The bartender that afternoon was none other than the lovely Tiana. Tiana was nice enough to give us the low down on the city and some places we had to stop at before we left. I’m not going to lie but that was the best damn beer I had it was something local. Possibly a firestone double barrel ale it was so cold and frosty. I had to have two in the small amount of time allotted before the tour. While in there a couple of locals came in and offered us shots! We had to be somewhat sober so politely declined. Second time we enjoyed beers and played pool. Yes we went two times in the small amount of time we stayed up there but it was so worth it. if you want to get a beer, play some pool and enjoy yourself I recommend you come here! Tiana made us feel right at home thank you!

This place is a great«local» watering hole. Drinks were made great by Mitch and the place seems like a place I would frequent often if I lived in Cambria. Only shaved off a star because it obvious the locals were favored over the visitors and it cost my husband $ 7 for a whiskey and coke as to where my Manhattan served up was only $ 5??? Cheers Mozzi’s
