Wine : Taste

A lovely hidden gem — the proprietress does the hard work of looking around for really unique, interesting tasting wines that are super reasonably priced. And you get a nice Riedel wine glass with your tasting (including stemless)! Totally worth it.

My mom and I did a wine tasting here, it was our favorite spot in Cambria, for wine tasting. We tried a different place every night. To us, this was the best!

To be honest, this was our first stop today and everyone was extremely friendly. We plan on stopping by again before we leave. Nice place to start the day.

I don’t work here anymore but it’s still great! When you want a knowledgeable wine tasting and to have an individualized, cozy experience, this is your spot.

We love Cambia. It’s our go to on Fourth of July and Thanksgiving. (Can you get more Americana than THAT?)
The sojourn from Monrovia would not be complete without a visit to this little wine\home décor/​picnic supplies/​witty and knowledgeable employees shop.
Yeah, I know it’s not a «winery». And there are plenty of great ones to visit in the area. This little find is even something better!
This place has Toby. And damn, that gal knows her stuff. A very, very relaxing tasting experience with the takes you through local wines and ports. They don’t talk down to you, over your head or try to sell you. (And by «they», I mean also the owner Leslie).
Maybe it is silly to mention that you also get to keep the two stemless glasses from your tasting — but it is just a little touch that makes the experience all the sweeter.
And every time we use them at home we remember our Cambria experience, smile, and look forward to the next one.
Oh and DONT forget to stock up on the Salted Carmel Sauce.

So this is a long overdue review, but I had to give an outstanding review! My husband and I first came to this location when it was fermentations a few years ago on a romantic weekend trip. This was such a truly unique experience that when we were driving up to Ragged Point we decided to stop here again. There are new owners, but the experience was still unforgettable and fantastic!!! The wines are boutique and very exclusive — so cool! They really let you take your time and the shop has so many fun things you can buy there including decorations, decanters and chocolates! I highly recommend it. The women helping us were so sweet and made us feel right at home!

What an great shop. Walked in not knowing what to expect and found a hidden treasure in Cambria. Was immediately greeted with a smile and warm hospitality by Tobey. Was just going to go in and look around but ended up loading up on some great items for the house and some wonderful wines. It was a great tasting because we were the only ones there with Tobey, so it was fun, informative and we had our own little party going on. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone, but be careful… don’t think that you are just going in to look around and leave. I promise you that you will find some great wine gadgets, and wonderful items for your home. Tobey is the best!!!

What a great shop! If you enjoy wine or need a gift for a wine enthusiast you must drop into this store. Really great variety of quality, beautiful and innovative items that obviously were chosen with great thought and consideration for the clientele. Tobey was a great host and made my visit this morning a wonderful experience. She has very informative explanations and a wonderful personality and helped me with a great selection of items that I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. She also provided a very pleasurable wine tasting experience in the little area in the store set aside and knew everything there was to know about their superb and well chosen selection of wines as well as champagne! Loved this lil shop so much had to come twice on our weekend trip to Cambria! Interesting wines to taste, adorable wares for sale, and super friendly staff! $ 10 for 6 huge tastes will definitely ensure you leave the place smiling probably w a few bottles in tow! And you get to keep the glass!

Wine taste is one of those unexpected gems. The wine selection is excellent and the staff is impressively knowledgeable of their wines. I highly recommend the wine taste

Wine: Taste’s website describes it as «Wine Tasting, Gourmet Foods, Unusual Gifts, Home Décor for the Wine Country Lifestyle…» I’m not sure what the Wine Country Lifestyle really means, but buy me a house in Napa and I’ll report back!
It’s a cute store that has wine accessories, furniture, and other knick knacks (
). They offer wine tastings which are $ 10, but we didn’t partake as it was 10AM and we don’t start wine tasting until Noon ;-)
Amazingly, we were looking to get a foil cutter and they didn’t carry any! This was about 1.5 months ago and they said it was requested a lot so had some on order.
The women working were very friendly.

Wine: Taste is a shop offering goods for the Wine Country Lifestyle. The shop owner previously owned Fermentations, but has opened Wine: Taste on Burton Drive. She offers wine tasting for $ 10 and you get to pick out a glass to keep, stemmed or stemless. There are also lots of wine accessories, decorative items and gourmet oils/​sauces.
