OMG! Soooo good! Love the food and atmosphere. Ed the owner is usually the server and he is great. My husband and I have to come whenever were in town visiting with family. We’ve been trying to find a thai place in texas. They just can’t compete with Ed’s wifes cooking.

Bangkok Bistro is one of the best Thai restaurants that I have ever been to. We even prefer them over the restaurants in Thai town in Los Angeles. This hidden gem is located in Burlington, Washington of all places. This little restaurant is nothing fancy. Liked the ambiance. Service was beyond excellent. The owner made us feel like we were guests visiting his home. Friendly and helpful. Wife and I both ordered lunch specials. I had the Pad Thai, rice, mixed vegetables, and salad combo. Wife had the Pad Thai, rice, massaman chicken curry combo. Both were delicious. If you like Pad Thai that is a bit sweeter than normal, then this is for you. I like mine on the sweeter side so I thoroughly enjoyed the Pad Thai! That Massaman Curry was very flavorful, and the perfect mixture of spices. One of the best curries that I have eaten anywhere. Bangkok Bistro is a wonderful dining destination. Eveytime we are traveling in the area, we will be returning.

This place is excellent. Fresh made to order spring rolls fresh ingredients. Friendly service. L16 is very good but the red curry was spicier then I had expected.

This is the second time I’ve made a detour during a long day of travel to stop at Bangkok Bistro, and it is so worth it! The owners are friendly and the food has great flavor. Perfectly cooked. They even have a drive-thru, which isn’t expected, so it’s a unique aspect I love. I will definitely keep coming back!

Been there twice now. The building is a little dilapidated, and not where you expect a restaurant, but the food and service was good overall. I believe the owner was my server both times, very nice, very cheerful! I recommend not getting the pad thai unless you like it very sweet(Rachawadee’s is better by far). But their Massaman Curry was very good, as is their broccoli dish. I would go again.

I looked this place up and decided to try it. Had the pad Thai. Well the noodles and sauce were great but the chicken was awful-dry and had a weird texture, maybe it was freezer burnt or something. I’ll think twice before going back. The young guy who took my order was very nice.

The draw here is the very friendly service. I’m not quite certain, but it appears to be a family operation, and everybody is very nice and makes the customer feel appreciated. The drawback is that my wife and I came here three times only to find the restaurant closed for different reasons, spelled out on a note attached to the door. It would say«Back on Monday,» or something similar. But, the food is delicious, and it was worth the effort to eat here. With all the Unilocal reviews, I thought it would be busier than it is. I know I’ll be eating here, when it is open.

3 of us were in town for a training and craving some good Thai food. After reading Unilocal reviews, we decided to try Bangkok Bistro and we were rewarded with great service and fabulous food. We asked what the owner would recommend and he informed us they had made a new batch of curry the day before, so we decided on Gang Dang, kee mao, and Pad see ew. Everything was wonderful. We all highly recommend this gem and wish it was in our community.

The best Thai I have ever had! Tried 3 dishes and all were making my taste buds dance around. I had Gang Dang, Pad Kee Mao, and Pad See Ew that I shared with two others. First of all it was beautiful and hard to eat it looked so good. Then the taste was awesome! We had it at a level two and that was plenty hot. I usually get a four. Also it was more than enough and we were all hungry.

We found the place through Unilocal. When we first arrived, the building looks pretty run down and the parking lot is deserted. We debated whether we should drive away or try it out. Aren’t we glad we stayed! Really good food and the portions are GIGANTIC! The owner is super friendly, the food is authentic. Vegetarian and vegan friendly as well. We left happy and full!

Red curry excellent, on the sweeter and thinner side. Pad Thai was excellent and huge for $ 9.00! Two people could share for sure. Homemade spice to add yourself… It’s hot a little dab will do ya! Vegetarian Fried Spring rolls were nice, not greasy as some can be and the perfect size for two. You get four in a serving. The service couldn’t be better the owner was serving and was happy to answer all my questions being new to Thai food. We found this place only because of Unilocal,we were on our way to Bellingham and new Unilocal wouldn’t let us down. You will feel like you walked into your best friends house for a quick meal! We make this a regular stop when I drive North!

Tropical Curry and Kemow Spicy Noodles, yum! 3-star spicy was way, wayyy to hot for me. Will stick with 1-star from now on. Very authentic, they roast and grind their own Thai chilies, and make their curry bases in Thailand and then fly them back here. The owner is super friendly and easy to talk to. Highly recommend!

This is by far the best Thai food I have ever had. Truly a diamond in the rough to find this restaurant in the middle of Burlington, the proportions HUGE, the food is actually seasoned right and for once when I ask for spicy I get real spice! I have had a lot of Thai food in my life and the food here really stood out, it may be a far drive for some people but it is definitely worth it.

A great happy family owns this restaurant. The prices are way too good to be true, since they give so much! Their lunch specials are huggggge. Now that’s what I call a SPECIAL! Daughter seems to be able to multi-task with studying & serving our needs. The dad starts up a great conservation. My husband is a vegetarian & since he is very picky of where to go… this place is REAL vegetarian. Their broth is not chicken, beef, or pork broth. They use fresh vegetables and fresh tofu in their soup for you veggies & tofu lovers :) They cleaned up a lot since the last time I’ve been here. They got new floors, new tables, and even an ice cream freezer! So when you’re done eating, you can head over to that ice cream freezer and pick up a strawberry shortcake. Just like they would do in Thailand since I have been there. My most favorite thing to eat here is the L-14! Prawns stir-fried in fresh vegetables, phad thai noodles, and steamed jasmine rice. with a salad on the side(: I absolutely love their fresh crushed red peppers. It’s a lot spicier than any other Thai place. It’s not Americanized peppers for those wimps out there. And what’s even better at this place?! A drive-thru! What Thai restaurant do you know, that has a drive-thru? If you don’t want to wait in an awkward silence in the restaurant waiting for your food, you can just chill in your car at the window. I’m a regular customer here, and I have going back ever since day 1. Love it!

Best Kee Mao around, IMO. It’s not as consistent as some places, but I think that’s one of the things that makes it so special. I’ve had several of the other dishes and I wouldn’t rate them 4 stars, maybe 3, but overall, I keep going back to the Bangkok when I want Kee Mao. I don’t know if they read Unilocal, but I would make a suggestion for them to make better use of Facebook to market themselves. Advertise a daily special, mention FB get a free Thai Tea, something like that. Also, the eating area inside doesn’t seem to be well taken care of. That sort of put my wife off, being in the food service industry and all. I tend to get my food to go now, when she’s working, since she’s not a big Thai food fan anyway. Very friendly people running the restaurant, and very helpful. I recommend overlooking the dusty cobwebs and clutter in the dining area if you’d like to sit in for a meal. I’ve heard they cleaned it up a bit, but can’t confirm. I think they’ve set a perfect price point for their food and service. Beware, they tend to shut down without notice if they need to run somewhere for supplies. They do, however, post a note on the doors and windows.

How quaint! Dinner time called and since my co-worker hasn’t ventured much into«exotic» foods, we decided to come here… He got fried rice. It’s a nice evening and the sunset shines inside quite nicely. The family staff is nice(the daughter seating us and the dad doing orders) and friendly. The wife seems to own it but the dad was out helping and he was fun to chat with regarding his worldly ventures for his own business. I got the Garlic Supreme… it was great. I wish I’d tasted the garlic better, if much was there. I noticed a small hair in it towards the end; I brought it to their attention but I wasn’t sure if it was me or them. And to finish, the Thai Iced Tea was awesome — the ice was shaved /shriveled /crushed, too! I’ve always had the cubes. Mmmm. It was dead in there but a to-go order was picked up for over $ 50. Sweet.
