No frills but great food. I was pleasantly surprised by my eggs benedict and the friendly staff. I would definitely visit again.

One of the best places for breakfast in town. If you are into grits they make the best not runny or thick their grits are just right.

Have not been there in such a long time and with Mom in town thought we go. Its still as great as I remembered. Mom had eggs benedict and brother had reuben and myself has a tenderloin. All the food was hot, tasty and not badly price. Fries were yummy and Mom loved her benedict. brothers sandwitch was great too. Also chicken soup was great. A must go.

My mom and i haven’t been here for years… so we were hungry on a friday night and wanted to try a place that was smaller and maybe quieter and more relaxing. Town was crazy that night! When we decided on Garden of Paradise and walked in it smelled so good and it was busy but not a total mad house like some of the chain restaurants. The menu is huge and the service is great! There is a three course menu where you decide between a few select appetizers, a few choice dinners, and two desserts… one of each of course. Lol. My mom ordered the parmesan crusted tilapia with baked potato and strawberry sundae for dessert. Her appetizer we shared and it was delicious potato skins. I decided on the greek salad which was made with very crisp and fresh veggies and a homemade dressing. I was super impressed with this place. I will definitely go back because the fried chicken looked mighty tasty!

Absolutely the best omelette’s in town. And I love supporting locally owned restaurants.

Bloody Mary special on Sunday is amazeballs. Pairs well with the country fried steak! But, the rest of this place is relatively mediocre. They do not have very competitive prices and the food isn’t very consistent. I do like the waitstaff. They mostly know the menu and make great suggestions(see above). The floor can get sticky which is one of my deal breakers for a restaurant.

This is a good place, especially if you enjoy biscuits and gravy like I do. I only ever get this because everything else is pretty darn pricey on the menu.

Had high hopes on breakfast as soon reviews were good. Sadly this place is a dive and not in a good way. We went in a Saturday morning about 8. There was no wait. The coffee was about the worst I’ve ever tasted, I admit I’m a coffee snob but it was horrible and tasted burnt. The host was very nice but the waitress was rude and very short with us. Possibly because she was annoyed we were a young family and had kids and not the typical 60 something patron. The kids got the Mickey Mouse pancakes which were burnt sloppy. My wife got biscuits and gravy. They gravy appeared to be package gravy and missing the sausage in sausage gravy. I got the gop skillet and I was happy with it. It wasn’t spectacular but it was fine for the price. We will not be back there are better options around town. Save your money and go elsewhere — sadly this place is way past its prime.

Best breakfast in town. South of the border skillet for the win! They are busy a lot and there is often a wait, but that’s to be expected when the food is so yummy! This is our go-to place when we want to treat ourselves to breakfast.

In a town that is seriously lacking in memorable breakfast joints, this place is one of the bright spots. Nothing fancy, but good affordable food, large menu, comfy atmosphere.

I’ve only been here for breakfast, and it’s a solid choice. There is a wide range of affordable options, and the décor and ambiance is great; super clean place. However the food itself is nothing to write home about.

I’ve now had breakfast here two weekends in a row! My friend recommended this place and I am so glad she did! Last week I ordered the Greek omelette and it was the best omelette I have ever had! The tzadsiki really tops it off! The service is great too– they are always refilling your coffee.

Have to admit that I wouldn’t have tried this place if it wasn’t for my son-in-law They are a Greek /American place with a good menu selection. I did enjoy my dinner there tonight — and the service was OK! Lunch time is busy AJ. Ives

Been here many times including busy Sunday mornings and today June 1, 2014 was one if the worst service I’ve ever experienced in our area. Three times as long for food to come to the table. Coffee cups were not available so I finally asked for coffee in a styrofoam cup and then the waitress appears with a real cup well over 10 mins after being seated. I waited 5 mins with my over easy egg on the table for the toast. Waitress did not check on our table so I had to flag her down for a refill. I’m really disappointed.

Another Bloomington staple that we’ve been coming to for years. I’ve had lunch here maybe once but again, this is breakfast hotspot. I recommend reservations on Sunday mornings(but I’m not sure if they take them, sorry). We normally wait about 15 or so minutes for a table. The service is fast, accurate, and the food is very good. I usually get an omelette or skillet or Benedict. It’s all very good.

Thanks to the reviews we tried this GREAT Mom n Pop diner. I love breakfast food and they didn’t disappoint. My husband is incredibly persnickety about breakfast foods. He found a plate he likes! I wish we lived closer to enjoy this restaurant more. Nothing fancy. Just well cooked down home food. With a stocked bar! As we sit here watching the place fill up I’m noticing that the owners and waitresses are recognizing and personally know a majority of the customers. That impresses me.

Have to admit that I wouldn’t have tried this if it wasn’t for my other fellow Unilocalers. Mostly because by outward appearance alone — I wasn’t really attracted to it. They are a Greek /American place with a good menu selection. But I did enjoy my dinner there tonight — and the service was perfect. Almost like they read your mind before you could say anything. I had salmon teriyaki and thought it was pretty good.
