Applebee’s

The food was good and waitstaff friendly. We went for the special deal but would have had only enough for a snack. The sodas and few other things we had to add on to have a decent meal ran the price up high enough to have paid for dinner in a better place. The food is tasty though.

Half priced apps for the win

Great service, seated immediately, appetizer was out very quickly, and the food was delicious. Refills were always offered and the pretzel appetizer with beer cheese and sweet mustard was different than other pretzels around. They werent doughy… they had a coating on the outside which gave them a crunch but was soft on the inside. They were very good! Nice having that type of cheese instead of the usual melted velveeta. The pick 2 meals for $ 20 is a great deal! For $ 20 we got riblets and fries with a nice side salad and triple cheese chicken penne pasta w/​a breadstick and a side salad. Could have gotten another appetizer inplace of the salads but we had already ordered one. My hamburger was a delicious handmade patty. This sandwich had bacon, cheese, onion, pickles, and a signature sauce. The sauce tasted like the sauce on the frisco melts at steak-​n-​shake! This burger had a great grilled taste and was not greasy. It was a good grade of meat. This was a great lunch experience but the only negative thing is i noticed the portions being smaller from the last time i was there. I wont count off for that because i know the cost for the restaurants are rising also.

I’m handing out four stars because the food was hot, the drinks were cold, the service thorough though admittedly a little slow (low staffing, appropriate for the time my 5-​top went).
I had the chopped chicken fiesta salad, Diet Pepsi, and finished with an Old Fashioned. Fiesta salad has a ranch dressing with a jalapeño zing, the tortilla strips added good texture, and there was sufficient chicken. It was chopped well, too – it didn’t feel like I was hacking through the Amazon with a machete.
The Diet Pepsi was unremarkable, which fulfilled my expectations of Diet Pepsi. It was cold and came in a glass with ice. Perfect.
The Old Fashioned was made with Jim Beam, a good mixing bourbon, and was refreshing. Hit me for 7 dollars, though, so I might opt for their $ 5 Tall Long Island (cheap!) next time I want to wet my whistle.
For what it is, a chain restaurant, Applebee’s is all right. It’s got a brighter ambience than TGIF, a concise menu, and decent variety.

Was there for lunch today with Mom and brother. They have many lunches for under 8.99 and had great choices. Service was fast, friendly and had refills a plenty. Try the app «Brew Pub Pretzel and Beer Cheese. Was very tasty only think wish ther were more then 4 sticks… will go again.

The Applebee’s has the worst food I’ve every had in a chain restaurant. I had riblets that taste so bad that I had to throw them away. My husband had a Shrimp Alfred with little to no Alfredo sauce.
It’s a lot of good restaurants in the area but DON’T go to this one.

My wife and I ate here earlier tonight, simply because we had never eaten here before. The hostess was very nice and sat us at a table. The server came promptly and took our drink order. I asked her for suggestions and she told us her favorites. My wife ordered the Garlic Sirloin and I had the Jalapeño Shrimp dish that came with rice.
The sirloin looked grey and odd. My wife claimed it tasted «different». I liked the Jalapeño Shrimp, but was not fond of the what seemed to be instant rice.
Overall, I now know why I have avoided Applebee’s. It’s pretty plain and your typical chain restaurant. Not something we enjoy.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The food was always mediocre, but a few months ago my boyfriend and I got salmonella food poisoning from this place. I was sick for over a week and I still can’t stomach eating burgers. I will never go back.

This place/​chain has good lunches.
Soup /​salad /​stuff. You really can’t go wrong for lunch here. Good variety of good food. Soup/​salad and rasb. tea is less than $ 10

I’m not even exaggerating here. This place BLOWS. The service is horrible. The menu is limited. And the place smells like a bowling shoe. Avoid at all costs.
