Horrible breakfast. Ordered biscuits and gravy and they were cold 10 minutes before they got to me. Coffee is gross. Don’t waste your time. If you want breakfast go to Fort Jesse Café. That is what real breakfast and coffee taste like!

My mom and i had a great supper here. The special board had many dishes to choose from. The salad bar and soup was very good and filled when needed freshened up. The chili and vegetable soup both were delicious. My mom actually said it was the best chili she had ever had in a restaurant. She ordered the full rack of bbq ribs and they were fall off the bone tender. They were EXCELLENT! I ordered the strip steak which was a special and it was grilled to a perfect medium rare. For the most part the steak was very good. A few grisly spots but the flavor made up for that. Our service was great and we will definitely be going back for the many nightly specials they have every week. I already know they have one of a kind crispy fried chicken. It was a wonderful dinner experience so don’t forget to stop in and try an entrée or twenty lol.

Terrible place to go if you want to smoke a vape and not a cigarette because you’re trying to quit smoking just trying to enjoy the night with a couple of drinks and or vape owner very terrible never go back again very rude man he will lose business if he doesn’t allow vapes when people are trying to quit smoking and it doesn’t stink not when its a lemon and blueberry and flavored vapes

A great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Locally owned and operated. The owner is a really nice person, his name is Arthur. The employees and service are awesome.

Me, my dad, grandma, and sister ate here the other day. The food was horrible here and the place was jam packed. My sister got ripped off and didn’t get syrup for her pancakes and only got one out of two. The eggs were runny as hell too. The waitress seemed to be not caring or asking us how the food is either. Really bad customer service for a place being packed. I got the biscuits and gravy large order and the hashbrowns with gravy on the side. The gravy has no flavor whatsoever! It tasted horrible! The only good thing was the hashbrowns. I also didn’t get a refill on my pepsi either and they only filled up my dads coffee cup the few times instead of everyone at our table.

Good food, good prices, good service, and a locally owned and operated family business. What is there not to like?

Love this place ! Wait staff is all amazing ! The food is delicious ! Who can go wrong with a single bisquit smothered in gravy and an order of Hashbrowns with a coffee ! The Hashbrowns are cooked perfectly ! Crispy and yum! The gravy is flavorful and gut filling ! Coffee isn’t too strong ! Just right ! Price is where it is at ! Cheap ! Good townie place to go for breakfast !

Great local place for simple but good food. Breakfast is especially good-I recommend the steak omelette. Our server was good but the one who cashed us out –after we stood there forever– was rude and acted like it was a pain to settle the check.

Fair prices for quality food, specials and breakfast are best. Saturday cheeseburger Special for $ 3.50 includes fries. Catfish on the weekends is great.

If you want a local place this is it. The owner is always upbeat and friendly. Most of the eaters have been there before. The breakfast is nothing special but inexpensive. The atmosphere is why you would go. There is an outside patio to eat on in warm weather. A small bar is located there also. Lots of local sport celebrities gather on game days. The dinner specials are outstanding and there is a basic salad bar included with most dinners. I have been there a few times recently. For a long time a place I overlooked.

This place is great. Good, fast service. Good, home style comfort food at reasonable prices. The biscuits & gravy are very good. Actually, breakfast in general is great. I’ve never gone for any meal other than breakfast. You may have to wait a few minutes for a table on the weekends. It will be worth it and not a long wait. Hang around. I think this place is almost as good as Garden of Paradise for breakfast(good luck getting in there on weekends any more). The only downside here is that it tends to be a bit chaotic, fast paced, and noisy. You can’t really consider this place if you like to linger at your table extensively or if you’re pokey at deciding what to order. However, you will never have an empty coffee cup.

This would only deserve more stars if you have never eaten at a restaurant before. Tried it for breakfast and had to wait for the privilege. We won’t be making that mistake again. On the plus side, it is cheap.

Maybe their breakfast is good, but their dinner was horrible. We were the only people in the restaurant which should have been our first clue. My pork chops were very dry and my partners food was just awful. Maybe we will come back at breakfast because the reviews on here say its good. Don’t waste your money on dinner here though.

Fantastic little restaurant right off the freeway in Bloomington. Service was super fast, the prices were unbelievably cheap, and the food tasted great! For $ 18(after tax) my friend and I received: One glass of orange juice Two glasses of chocolate milk(no free refills) One small order of biscuits and gravy One short stack of pancakes One breakfast special with two eggs, two pieces of toast, hash browns and three pieces of bacon One breakfast special with two eggs, two pieces of toast, and three pieces of sausage All of the food tasted great, it was all seasoned perfectly, I didn’t need to add anything. The bacon was nice and crisp, the toast was toasted correctly… no complaints here! Our waitress was really nice and we were probably in and out within 30 minutes. If you’re driving through town, I highly suggest stopping off and eating here!

Great breakfast-split sausage is a must. Most of the year they also have fresh blueberries in their pancakes. Outside patio area that is nice all day as long as the weather permits.

As the quest for Bloomington’s best breakfast spot continues, we finally made our way to Times Past Inn. I love locally owned restaurants and strive to support them whenever I can. While Times Past Inn is a good choice, I think there are better options in town. It is a solid choice but just not my preference. Check out my Breakfast List for a review of almost all breakfast spots in town. Positives: — Big omelet from SCRATCH with lots of fresh cut ingredients — Great pancakes(this is very important) — Yeah sugar free syrup — Lots of seating — IWU support! Negatives: — Eggs made right, but lacked flavor — Bacon too crispy so there was no flavor left — Coffee is just ok — No real butter, just substitute stuff — Hashbrowns cooked fine but no seasoning Just plain observations: — Crowd tends to be 65+ — Waitresses are straight forward — Menu has all the basics, nothing fancy
