I’ve gotten several recommendations from people in the area about how great this place is, but after trying it out a couple times, I’m not seeing it. It’s just not good. First off, the people aren’t very friendly. Great customer service goes a long, long way. If a bussines doesn’t make people feel welcome, they’re not going to want to come back. Also, during the winter this place is freezing cold, because they don’t have the heat turned on. Which also, effects the quality of the food. Basically, they cook the food and then it sits in temperature equivalent of a refrigerator. On my last visit I ordered wonton soup and when I got home,(which is a five minute ride) it was lukewarm. I’m sorry, but having the heat turned on is a «cost of doing business» and shouldn’t be ignored, especially when it has an effect on the food. Also, on my visit I ordered the boneless spare ribs combo, which came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The boneless ribs were pretty good, but the fried rice was mushy, which made it inedible, and the egg roll was not crispy and tasted very bland. Needless to say, I’ll be finding a different place to order Chinese from.

Alright, I am continued to be impressed. Hurricane Sandy devastated and Bloomingdale /Butler were without power. Apart from the liquor store operating by candlelight, Guan Long was open! Stopped in and was quite surprised actually since both AJ’s Pizza and Danny’s Pizza were closed(dont they use a gas operated oven?). Seeing that I did not want eggs for breakfast a 3rd day in a row, ordered a lunch special and enjoyed it tremendously in the backyard with my Oolong Tea.

Best Chinese in the area. And most reasonably priced.

I live in West Milford and the chinese food there is awful. The only choice is mr. Wonton(1 or 2) which is gross. Coming from Queens where you only get good take out Guan Long has decent dishes. Not the best but it would probably survive in NYC which is saying something considering most NJ chinese take out places would be closed in the city. If you order the fried rice ask them to add egg to it. Noodle dishes are all tasty. Love the crab ragoon here.
