Used to be our favorite buffet, but after new owners going downhill. They are trying to pass off black tea as oolong tea, and replaced an entrée table with more desserts. Never less the hibachi is still good and at $ 13.00 good for a tight budget.

I do enjoy the food here, it is a typical Chinese buffet restaurant. They have a variety of sushi, meats, veggies, etc. in a good set up building where you can access the food and your seats at all times(minus inconsiderate customers). The only downfall is it is in a small strip mall right off the highway where other restaurants are so the parking is a little bit packed when it comes to busy days and dinner times. It’ll be rather hard to get a parking spot on the side of the strip mall where this buffet is resulting in a longer walk because people do not know where to park.

Came here for the first time yesterday with my church group. A typical Chinese buffet. Since its New Year’s Day, they served extra seafood yesterday. The food selection is great, and I especially enjoyed the hibachi and dessert. My only complain is it lacks Chinese dim sum. Will visit again in the future.

Not great, not bad! However; if I was in that plaza I would definitely go to blu ale house or Mangia instead!

Went with a few friends good price but food quality wasn’t the best, you could tell what was cheap and what was sitting out for awhile. The sushi selections weren’t the best, just a bunch of California Rolls(the cheapest to make) aside from knowing the California Roll there was a few others but no label on any of them and when I tried them they were okay at best. One thing that I liked was that the waitress’ seemed friendly. Most times at buffets they will hawk eye you and watch how many plates you have and make you feel uncomfortable. That is always a crucial part when picking a Chinese Buffet to go to, but I did not feel rushed when I was there mainly because of how big it was and how many other guests they had. They did have a large selection of food and it’s not all bad it just takes maybe two trips up to the buffet to figure out what is good. I would maybe go back, we ended up there because the buffet we planned to go to was closed so this was a quick decision.

The place looks so fancy and the food is great at such a reasonable price! I definitely recommend.

Brought the family here for dinner for my step-son’s birthday. Pretty large place, nice selection of Chinese food. The sushi tasted really fresh and it was being made on the spot — not pre made — very good and a nice variety. The hibachi grill had a nice selection of choices for your meal and making it was quick. The buffet was a nice size… not too big or small, the food was hot and everything I tasted was fresh — not like it had been sitting out for a while. And for the kids(and big kids), nice dessert spread. Price was right, for 6 dinners and three drinks, just about 92 bucks. Not too shabby at all. We’ll definitely return and it’s highly recommended! Oh, they also have take out buffet prices and they didn’t look all that bad either. Nice place :-)

This was my first visit to NJ Buffet. It was 5:30pm on a Saturday. The smiling hostess took me to my seat which I then got up from to get my food. I listed to pop music while eating a little bit of squid, yellow rice, honey chicken, General Tso’s chicken, barbeque chicken, some sort of fish, flounder, string beans, salmon and lo mein followed by rainbow sherbert or ice cream. The plates are small so multiple trips are needed. It’s an Asian centric buffet so the only Italian option was pizza. Any buffet meal is not the greatest but I was in the mood for variety today and this place served the purpose well.

My mother is a big Chinese food lover and while she would have preferred to go to Imperial 46 in West Paterson, she had a 10% off coupon for this place and asked me if I wanted to try it. I’m not a buffet person but I said why not. Huge selection of food, large dining area, and clean place. It’s a standard buffet. The food was fine. It’s not somewhere I would go regularly but I would go back again.

While my visiting my elderly mother for a week she had me take her here 3TIMES! She loves this place and it’s easy to see why. Very friendly staff and very, very clean. The food selection went beyond the normal buffet fare. They even had very good Spanish food. I especially liked their sushi selection and the Hibachi Grill. Interesting that they want you to use 2 plates at the Hibachi. One for meats and the other for the vegetables, I liked that. Guess when I visit mom again I will gladly be taking her back.

Large variety of food to choose from. Hibachi made fresh on the spot which is rare for Buffet restaurants. Very kid friendly and lots and lots of seating. Staff was friendly and stations were kept extremely clean.

This place is HUGE. We were seated immediately and the place was crowded. Nice mix of people. The waitress took our drink order and tossed a few straws on the table. They have a hibachi station and a sushi station which is included in the price of the buffet. The sushi looked fresh and didn’t smell fishy. The same food as with any Chinese buffet but was surprised with a full size salad bar. They could have added more Chinese selections. I was thrown off by the mashed potatoes and gravy next to the lo mein and mei fun. I get that they need to accommodate kids as well but perhaps get rid of salad bar and make one American food section. The cookies were good on the desert bar but don’t pre cut mangos and leave them to turn brown. Also the fruit flies were happy on the watermelon.

Food was cold, waitresses are like hawks asking to refill your cup even before you’re half way. Think they might want to fill you up with soda instead of food?!! Definitely a first and last!

Have been going to this restaurant since it has opened. It has gone down hill the past 6 months to a year. Cheap food. Dried out food. Tasteless food. The sushi had no taste and the rice was hard. Boneless ribs and fried calamari were like leather. Most of the other dishes were below par. I think you get the idea. Will not be coming here again. If you want lousy cheap food come here OR go the the 23 Buffet or other buffets in the area.

UPDATE: Two years later and this buffet is still THEBESTBUFFETINTHEBERGEN /PASSAIC COUNTYAREA. Lunch prices are still only $ 6.99 during the week and the selection has gotten even larger than when I wrote my first review about them 2 years ago. The rest rooms are also exceptional clean, and they have plenty of staff to keep refilling your all you can drink soda glasses & to take away your plates. I highly recommend this restaurant.

For the amount of food I ate when I went, this place is a steal. Literally, they probably lost money because of how much I ate. So many options to choose. Sushi, hibachi, bacon wrapped chicken, pasta, Chinese everything. Usually when you go to a buffet, you’re pretty skeptical about how clean it will be/how good the food is. But this place is great! Clean, organized and the food was good. The only downside was one of our waitresses seemed to be eyeing down our table hinting at us to leave. Seemed kind of rude, but other than that, this place is great.

Generally speaking I wasn’t impressed with this place. Large buffet area with an underwhelming selection of so-so food. Many choices were cold, extremely greasy, or both. Sushi selection very limited and not very fresh. No sashimi at all. Mongolian barbecue was pretty good with a fair selection but the cook doused everything in so much oil that it may as well have been deep fried. Earlier reviews claimed that drinks were included in the buffet price. This is incorrect. $ 2.00 per person for soda. I won’t waste my time with this place again.

Just consumed an evening meal at this neighborhood buffet. The food was filling and the sprite was refreshing. However, the service leaves room for improvement. I wasn’t offered a refill until i was completing my final plate. And at the end of the meal, the waitress instructed me to leave a tip for a subpar service. The likelihood for me to return is uncertain at the moment.

Came today for their all day dinner buffet. They have buffet choices like: oyster, fried foods(shrimp, squid, chicken, french fries, etc.), lobster, clams, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, pork?, steamed fish(my fav), hibachi(you choose what you want and the chef cooks it for you), sushi(some raw), fruits, ice cream, and other desserts. When I named all of these things just now, I thought to my self wow this place has some good stuff for just 12 bucks! But… I had an OK experience. I had some sushi and they were ok when I asked the person working if they could make me an avocado eel roll for me, the person doused it with some sauce that was SUPERSALTY, not like the one from the restaurants. Also, the eel was chewy? Like… what are they serving me? Fake eel? The lobster was good, Im not sure why others had such bad experience but the few pieces I managed to get(people fight over it), they were juicy and soft but not soft in a way where its old. There were oysters and I was super excited about it. I got 5 and I was enjoying them until the last oyster I ate… it tasted so gross. I literally just spat it out. No idea what was wrong with it, maybe it was dead for awhile… Another thing that turned me off was their fried dough balls that they coat with sugar. I tried one just to try, and guess what? The inside was still raw! I was like EWWW… spat it out right away. I got another dough ball just to experiment and that one was good haha, I guess that earlier batch the cooks were rushing to cook it. Hibachi food is great if you know how to experiment. The steamed fish is also another thing people fight over. I barely manage to just get a piece. Place is 12 bucks, what do you guys expect? The food can be good if you don’t encounter weird tasting things… all and all I dont think I would come back? But its definitely cheap. Worth going to if you’re just super hungry.
