Reasonable prices for quality steak you would find in a more upscale restaurant. Great seafood complements and sauces. The happy hour prices for house wine(Texas wines) and apps were great. This will be a regular spot for us.

Not sure if we were at the same place??? we had horrible service and the food is greasy and would be best for bar food at 2am. second visit meeting some friends after trying to steer them away. Did not get lemon for Tea, and asked several times for utensils and finally got them when twenty minutes later when food was cold. asked the manager to take off my bill, but i was hungry and ate the food and he said you should have sent it back!!! i tried!!!

Service was great! Quail with cornbread stuffing was flavorful and juicy. Jalapeño corn grits were also good. Def get the queso for the app. And finish it off with a great root bear float. We will be back for more!

Have visited here a few times in the past and always enjoyed the food. Just visited again and was much less impressed. The salmon tacos were on par with good flavor as was the salad with fresh greens and vegetables. But the pork chop, although I specifically asked for it not to be overcooked, was very dry and tough. It had good flavor, but was very poorly executed. The jalapeño grits were great as usual, but the green beans were chewy and flavorless. I think they might need to review their kitchen and upgrade their food execution to the next level. Service was great and friendly and the atmosphere is clean and energetic.

Chris and Jose are amazing bartenders! The food was amazing. And they have multiple television screen their walls. I highly recommend coming here. I love this place

This is not a comprehensive review because I’ve only been here once and ordered one thing. That said, their bison chili is phenomenal! It’s a pile of ground meat in a stew of delicious juices with small accoutrements of yumminess, like well cooked carrot, hatch chili, black beans, tiny bits of tomato and a sprinkle of cotija cheese. Love it!

When you walk into this overly want-to-be country bar you assume that the food will only be so par, from the décor, BUT you are in for the surprise of the evening or happy hour for that matter! The Chipotle BBQ Salmon tacos will make you feel like you were transported to a fine diner. There is not one flavor that is over-powering or forgotten. The smokiness of the BBQ Salmon complemented with the tang of the Chipotle sauce that will make you want to «slap yo momma». The tacos also have a great slaw that allows you to still feel light and airy. Let me not end this adventure to soon, the sides will make you enjoy«home cooking» in a restaurant. The Pinto beans with jalapeño sausage will make you want to make a meal just out of that side dish with some corn bread. And, if you are in for a drink you must try the margarita. Don’t let their size full you they are full of greatness!!! You will not be disappointed if you decide to dine at Chisos Grill!

We have given this place a couple of tries. With groups, with family, with just myself and my husband. It is ok. My biggest issue is actually finding something on the menu, that I like. I am not a huge fan of fried food or overly spicy food. The menu has a ton of both. The wait staff is young. So young many can’t bring you drinks to the table. The bartenders have to bring them. The food that I do order is ok. Nothing special and usually something on my plate is cold. Last night the green beans were not even room temperature while other things on my plate were so hot it burnt the top of my mouth. The noise level can be high. I find myself having to yell for people to hear me. A so so place at best. After last nights experience it may have been our last. Happy Hour everyday from 3 to 6pm. They also own Bee Cave Coffee Co in the center of the Galleria.

Excellent! Service and food! I like the southwestern feel of this place! Recommended by a local to us we decided to stay in the Bee Caves area instead of venturing into the business of Austin and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this place and the good food! Sometimes you don’t have to go for the name places and popular places like Hopdoddy’s to get a good burger! Try the Green Chile burger! So good!

The food was and tasty and Service and the was good too. I love the casual dining atmosphere. On the flip-side, I would not make a special trip to Bee Caves unless you’re already in the area or going someplace else to visit.

OMG well worth the drive!!! Purchased a Groupon while we were visiting Austin from San Antonio. First of all the drive from Austin was so beautiful — I had never been out this way. Being from San Antonio, I am always a little leery of small town service etc. We had an awesome experience here. First of all I was worried that they may not honor our groupon on a Sunday evening — BUT they did. The food is so good, fresh and antibiotic free. I loved the spinach salad and Bison Chili. But started with their pork filled queso and chips with pork stuffed jalapeños. Everything was so good and finishing off with the gluten free chocolate cake. To die for!!! Our server was so super sweet, friendly and very accommodating to our every request. I would definitely drive out here straight from San Antonio to eat again and again to see the hill country and eat there. WELLWORTHIT.

Came in late, so the place was pretty empty, but the wait staff was not annoyed to see us. We got treated very well. We ordered the pork queso and the tostadas to start. Both were great, but if I had to pick, I’d go with the tostadas. Margarita was good. Not the best. A little sweet and not quite strong enough. But it was big, so I didn’t feel jipped. My wife and I split the Nuevo Diablo, which was very good. Bacon wrapped shrimp. Delicious. Enough to share after such hearty appetizers. Peach cobbler for dessert was very very disappointing. Kinda like corn bread with a tiny bit of peach in it. Weird. Only thing I didn’t really like. All in all, great place. Definitely coming back.

It was very empty when we came in at about 8:30. There was no one at the host stand and it took them a while to notice we had come in. Our waiter ended up being pretty good, although it did take a while for our food to come out. I thought the décor and design were very cute. I thought the menu was very original, but the food was mediocre. From reading many other reviews of here and bee caves coffee I am not impressed with the managements customer service. I can never imagine telling a customer to go somewhere else.

A unique take on southwestern style meal. The décor has a southwest vibe. The food as well but the flavors, spices and combinations are very unique. For example the apple bacon slaw replaces traditional cabbage with silvers of apple, also has pieces of bacon and red pepper. The chicken Nueces is Chisos take on pecan chicken. Basically pecan breaded fried chicken. Surprisingly, not greasy, I also loved the mango-like chutney and sauce. If you enjoy shaking it up — Chisos is your place.

Went here around 2:30 on a weekday. The hostess was our server since they weren’t busy at this time. We were sat in a big, comfy booth and were brought waters promptly. We ordered the chili and the pulled pork with mashed potatoes and pinto beans before we ordered the pulled pork queso so we could get the happy hour discount on the queso. The queso was good and came with seasoned chips that weren’t greasy. The order of queso did not, however, come with any salsa, which is a bit odd. When the manager checked on our table, we asked if we could get salsa. He said they normally charge for it, but that he would get us some free of charge. We appreciated this gesture. The bison chili had a nice, deep flavor, but could’ve used more beans in my opinion. It came with four mini cornbread that were fantastic for sopping up the liquid left in the bowl. The pulled pork is AWESOME. Just so good. Not too sweet, not too salty, and wonderfully juicy. The mashed potatoes were good, but nothing revolutionary. The pinto beans had good flavor, but for something described as sausage and beans, it could’ve had more sausage. Overall, this place has a nice atmosphere, decent prices, good service, awesome pulled pork, and good everything else. Will be back.

The manager Rob is super cool and friendly, bartender Chris was awesome and our server Emily was very sweet! Chicken Nueces was really good, I loved the jalapeño cream sauce. I chose mashed potatoes and fries as my sides and both were excellent. My husband had the Seafood Combo basket with fried Oysters, Catfish and Shrimp. He loved the oysters! It also came with hush puppies that were so good, they sort of tasted like cornbread with jalapenos. They had a great selection of local beers on tap, atmosphere was very chill. We sat in the bar area and had a great time.

Chisos was a nice surprise. Honestly, I haven’t encountered much like it cuisine wise. It’s not Tex-Mex, it’s something else entirely. This feels like«Texas» food. Using spices and ingredients that hearken to how we do things here; it’s hearty, smoky, and delicious. We started with the Chisos sampler with the pulled pork in the queso.(So good, we could have taken a bath in it.) The Pueblo Chicken was stacks of meat and cheese and yum. The Nuevo Diablo shrimp dish – we fought for the last shrimp. It was lunchtime, so we didn’t imbibe, but it has a well-stocked full bar. The size of the place was a surprise too, it’s big. The prices are a little higher than you’d find at a chain – but we talked with our waiter – it’s all fresh made and locally sourced. Totally worth the couple of dollars extra for the entrees. Makes me wish I lived south.

I’ve eaten here quite a few times now. Love everything that I’ve had, and I’ve tried the Diablo Shrimp, the burger, the chicken sandwich, the fish tacos and the pork belly tacos. Yes. Each one was great. Staff does a great job keeping my iced tea full and making sure I have what I need. Very happy this place is here!
