My husband and I visited here on a Sunday. First the air conditioning was not working however that did not make a difference on how many stars I gave because we sat outside. My husband asked if there was a drink menu for the beer and the server said no and listed them off. We then ordered some queso which was just okay. NOT worth $ 7.00 at all. Then we both ordered our entrees. We ordered the veggie quesadillas. They were less than satisfactory. The server had ZERO personality and did not seem to care about giving us a good dining experience. We had to ask for the check and when he returned after processing the credit card the pen flew on the floor. He made a comment about it flying at my husband with no real laugh or joking in his voice. There was no apology either. He brought back the copy to sign on top of a drink menu which he earlier said there was not one! Ridiculous! Being that the food was just okay and the service was terrible, we will not ever return to this place.

Wings were great. Service was awesome! Zingers is actually moving to 620 in Lakeway in September 2015… So, enjoy its current location before July11th! New location is going to be called MacArthers(sp)! Josh and Caitlyn at the bar are awesome!

Zingers is an overall good bar to visit… I encourage multiple visits in fact. I have been there about 4 times now and am always pleased with the wide variety of sports they constantly have on and their beer selections. The only thing I would recommend improving on is the attentiveness and communication of the servers and kitchen. A couple times I’ve been there I had to wait about a ½ hour before the server checked in on us. We were in no rush so it did not affect us too much but I could see less patient folks getting bothered by that. We once had to wait a long while for our food as well and the server did not realize how long we were waiting until we said something. Otherwise, those were minuscule mishaps that did not happen every time so I would still highly recommend this place to people! Good food, good beer, good people and good sports… can’t go wrong!

Decent food… when you get it and when it is fully cooked. This place consistently underwhelms with regards to service. Just when you think«no way it’s this slow or did that just happen?», it does. I am understanding with regard to «bad days» but it’s always a bad day at Zingers. I will be glad when they move out. Bad service is a sign of ineffective leadership.

If you’re looking for a fun/lively atmosphere with food & sports — this is your place! If you have kids, no problem! They have various video games from racing to golf(golden tee) as well as foosball and others. There’s always something fun going on that will entertain the whole family or even if its a first date. Friendly staff & great management. if you ever have any problems, just ask for Alan. Besides being the owner, he’s a proud farther and a very reasonable/great guy. When you leave you’ll already be planning the next visit.

Great atmosphere! Patio was great, there was cold beer, and live music. Perfect combo for an Texan. The waitress knew her stuff. My friend describe what she was looking for to drink that night and the waitress recommended something she loved. I was really looking for drinks so this place was perfect. But if you’re looking for amazing food it’s an eh. I ordered the baked potato skins which are hard to screw up. Then the baked potato soup was a special kind of awful. I found a recipe on Pinterest that was better than their version. The manager should really change it. It was that bad! But I’m rating it a 4 because I had a great time and they have a great staff! The food can be fixed but a crappy staff can ruin your night. I’m glad we got to deal with great people. It was the perfect place to unwind from a crazy work week. Also major plus to this bar is putting blankets on the patio for girls that get cold like me! Major brownie points for that!

Word of advice to people planning to bring a dog to the«dog friendly» patio: the owner keeps a Boxer off a leash that roams through the restaurant, indoors and outdoors. Not sure how this is not a health code violation, but that is a different story to be taken up with the Texas Department of State. When we entered the patio with our leashed dog, the Boxer pinned our dog down, and bit him. If we didn’t pull the Boxer off quickly, there could have been some serious damage done. We won’t be returning.

Great food and service. This place has changed within a few months. I don’t know what happened but they need to keep it up. Great job to everyone.

Beer selection is okay and there’s plenty of TVs for watching football. Unfortunately my Wings, fries and queso were all served cold. Waitress is nice, though not very attentive.

The food was just«ok» and a little expensive. It does have a nice area to sit outside. However, some of the ordered food never made its way to our table. When we reminded the waitress, she apologized and said it’d be out soon. After waiting 20 mins, i asked the manager about it. He apologized and said he’d have it right out. After waiting another 20 mins, nothing and no response from the waitress or manager. After this i figured it was time to leave. During the whole meal a white dog was roaming around within the gated area on the patio. I asked the waitress about it and she just smiled and said«it’s the owner’s dog». What kind of RESTAURANT has a dog roam around by its customers who are EATING. The dog is nice and i am a dog lover but i don’t want a dog sitting right by the table where i’m eating and staring at me like i should give it something. Especially, the fact that it is THEOWNERSDOG! The owner in previous reviews asked for a chance to rectify other patrons’ concerns. But, i shouldn’t have to explain to the owner of a restaurant not to bring his dog to work…

Don’t waste your money on this place. Nasty, dirty, horrible food and waitress high as a kite. I wouldn’t feed my dog their food. Yuk, yuk!

Good atmosphere. Fun spot to watch a game. Personally, I’d just stick to drinks and maybe chips and salsa. We kept it fairly simple with nachos and onion rings… overcooked chicken and just looked thrown together without care. Love the dog there.

We’ve eaten here about 6 times in the past 2 months. Absolutely love the food when it’s cooked correctly. Prices are a little high but typical for the area. I’m sure the rent in the galleria area is pretty high. All of the apps we’ve had can be awesome, southwest eggrolls are our favorite. Burgers are good. Chef/cooks need to learn that a chicken breast has to be pounded out before being put on a sandwich because the time we ordered one it was almost inedible. Could barely cut it with a knife and it was an inch and a half thick… On one occasion, the cooking oil must have been very cold because both the fries and eggrolls were pretty much translucent with soaked up oil. These are line-cooking 101 errors that just shouldn’t ever happen. Service has been touch and go to the point where we question coming back. Almost every time we’ve visited, the service was a mess. Have not been waited on at all. Have had food gone missing. Have had the bartender disappear for 20 minutes when we were dining at the bar. I have no clue to what the management’s experience is, but having worked in restaurants since high school, I think they really need both some solid floor and kitchen management. It’s such a simple restaurant and menu, there’s no way it should be run this way. I think the seat yourself model is part of the cause but half the time nobody knows what waiter is supposed to be serving your table. As far as the bar incident goes, it’s a sports bar. I can’t really come up with an plausible reason why the bar would be unattended for almost 20 minutes when there’s at least 5 groups of people sitting at it near noon on a weekend. These problems are really just low hanging fruit. Everyone’s always nice, and the experience can be excellent, it’s just a shame that it just isn’t meshing somewhere.

Waitress was unaware customers were here and sometimes wouldn’t even take your order. This the only restaurant I have ever been in that my shoes sticks to the floor and pulls my shoes off.

Our first time here. I liked it alot. The food was good, I mean it’s bar food but isn’t that the point. Watched some soccer and ate some wings, irish fries and sw egg rolls. Good times!

I live and work in the Bee Cave and Lakeway area, and by far the service and atmosphere of Zingers is the best in town! Alan, the owner, is almost always on staff and eager to please! The bar selection is great, the top shelf margarita is made natural, and the Becker Recker with beer fries is to die for! «Come And Get It! »

Let me start by saying that writing this review makes me sad, because I love Zinger’s. Not that I would eat there often, but whenever I did, I had a good time and a good meal. Unfortunately, today was a much different experience: Upon arrival, I had to wait 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged to be seated. The bartender saw me come in(they weren’t busy by any standards), and had me stand there in front of the«please wait to be seated» sign until he finally asked if I wanted a table, and then he just told me to seat myself. The food was decent. I ordered the fried pickles and longhorn burger. Something tasted different about the burger, but it was still okay. After taking the last few bites of a fried pickle, I felt something hard and realized that my tooth had chipped. I spit out the piece of tooth and sort of sat there in shock for a bit. I even went to the bathroom to make sure it really was my tooth. My friend suggested that I tell the waiter, so I did. We both expected the pickles or SOMETHING to be comped, but the waiter just said«sorry about your tooth,» and handed me the bill. Wow, my tooth is sore and my feelings are a little hurt. Sad customer service makes for sad customers. Use caution when considering Zinger’s. They just aren’t what they used to be.

We went here for lunch. I ordered a southwest chicken salad with dressing on the side and no tortilla strips. The salad was so incredibly small that I was still hungry. The chicken was extremely salty it’s almost as if they accidentally popped the lid off of the salt shaker. I’m not sure if I would ever go back for the price and what it is…

We have tried this place several times over the years. When it first opened it had a nice upscale sports bar feel, the staff was really good, the bar apps were great and it was overall a good experience. About a year ago we stopped in to discover that the restaurant had changed hands and it was clear at that time that the inmates were running the asylum. Having taken a one year breather we decided to give it another try. What a disaster!!! First, the place was outright dingy. Plates and empty glasses scattered across tables and the bar. Service was an absolute joke. My wife and her friend ordered two identical salads at least 15 minutes before I ordered mine and as you could probably guess my salad came out first. The waitress that brought mine out had no idea who had ordered it and literally left it on the corner of the bar two seats away from me. Just for kicks I wanted to see how long it would sit there before the bartender or a server would serve it to the customer that ordered it. Another 10 minutes went by, the girls complained about how long it was taking to get two identical salads and my salad remained in it’s temporary home. Finally, the salads arrived, my salad made it’s way to it’s final destination and we had a brief chance to enjoy our food and friends. That was until the four adolescent girls in the booth close to us starting behaving badly, knocking over drinks and generally creating a scene. Along with being poorly run this place has no identity. It’s one part Chuck E Cheese complete with crayon drawings posted on the wall and out of date arcade games jammed in every available corner. Then it’s a sports bar with great flat screens and every available channel. The outside seating could be fantastic but instead feels like some kind of zoo with dogs running around off leashes, old pet beds and a BBQ grill that looks like it was picked up at a garage sale. My friend is a commercial real estate agent in the area and he said it best when he said«someone should call Food Network and nominate this place for the show Bar Rescue»

There are things I like about this restaurant/sports bar. They have a good menu and I like that you can sit outside with your pets. However, recently, the food quality seems to have declined. On a recent trip, we ordered two medium rare burgers and they came out super well done. Also, I’d like to have a bigger local beer selection. Austin has a major craft beer renaissance and I feel like bars should carry them, but that’s my pet peeve. Finally is my biggest pet peeve. They have the worst servers. Every time I go it seems like they are just picked out of high school. They need to do major training. I’m writing this in hopes they’ll read it and care enough to make some changes.
