Unlike most other chain stores in the Hill Country Galleria, Bath & Body Shop isn’t super mini-sized compared to most others(ever been to the Banana Republic here? It’s like a shoe box!). This store is always fully stocked, never a bare shelf. And, because it gets less traffic than its larger counterparts, clearance items(even the hard to finds ones) are in abundance — shhh. Just between friends, okay? ;) In addition, I was told by a sales clerk that other B&BWs send their leftover sale merchandise to this store when in need of shelf space for seasonal products — even better! Don’t misunderstand — this is not an outlet store. They just happen to frequently have amazing deals, as well as carry all the new arrivals other stores do. So, when you’re strolling the shops in the HCG, be certain to stop in B&BW. The staff are really friendly and helpful and you’re sure to find some fantastic bargains! A great place to indulge in all of your personal nice smelling and fun bath, body, and home stuffs… also a nice opportunity to stock up on loads of your friend’s favorites for those upcoming birthday and other occasion gifts. You don’t have to tell them you got their 20-piece gift basket for 75% off — even if you did I doubt they would care. Girls just wanna have fun… and what gal isn’t a sucker for Bath & Body Works?

I was in the area and stopped by to find a lotion my Mom’s been asking for. They were out, but the lady working there was super helpful and offered to call a few of the surrounding stores to see if one of them had the product. After a few calls, success. I really appreciate that type of customer service! Bravo!

Hi, my name is Tara and I am addicted to B&BW yummy smelling hand soaps. Last winter at the end of the year I bought 5 more bottles of the Caramel Apple in case they discontinued this seasonal scent — glad I did because they did:(I still have 3 bottles of this heavenly scent that sends me into giddy drunkin happiness every time I wash my hands. This years seasonal favorites are Mistletoe Kiss and Ribbon Candy but they did not send me into hording mode. I also love their Apple scented pocket hand sanitizer gel that I always have in my pocket at the animal shelter to sanitize between dogs and speaking of dogs they let my dog shop with me at this location! My most resent discovery at this location and Christmas gift to myself is their Eucalyptus Spearmint scented candle! It makes me beyond Stress Relief Happy! My friends and family who know I wash my face and body with Johnson’s baby wash and moisturize with pure oils with no scent are often shocked that I have this strange addiction to scented hand wash and sanitizers when they visit my home:)

While I’m generally a fan of Bath and Body Works, even after working there for an extended period of time during college, I can’t say that I will be too eager to go back to this particular store. While my bad experience isn’t enough to write a letter over, it’s definitely enough to write a negative review… I popped in(husband in tow) this afternoon to look around while we were wandering around the Galleria. The girl at the front cheerfully gave the normal welcome, asked how she could help us, etc. I stated that we were just looking around, when she started saying something about their new scent and coming towards me with the bottle of lotion in her hand that I knew, from past experience, was to rub onto my hands and make me ooo and aaahh over. I immediately said«Noo…» and backed up, but before I could explain that this is because I’m sick and did not want her to risk getting sick as well(and really, their regular lotion makes my eczema react terribly), she shot me the DIRTIEST look that I have ever received from anyone, turned, and walked away without another word. I was completely stunned, and felt so awkward after that. We walked away and tried to continue shopping, but I just wanted to leave. While I understand that this is not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, it really made me feel completely uncomfortable and unwelcome in the store and I wanted to get out as quickly as possible. Honestly, don’t put someone up at the front of the store who is going to get an attitude when someone doesn’t want a random lotion scent slathered on their hands. As far as the store itself, I find that it’s definitely smaller than other stores and I didn’t find the selection to be as good as the selection elsewhere. I would say save yourself a trip out to this particular store and head to the Barton Creek store instead, where the selection is good, they have the additional makeup area and extended product lines, and the employees aren’t snotty.
