This old fashioned Wisconsin burger joint is a classic. Midwestern beef, there’s nothing like it. Everything on the menu is a winner. The Reuben(pretty darn good for a drive thru fast food joint), their famous Butterburger. it’s all good. Price point is ‘aight. It’s not the dollar menu but it’s decent $ 4 – 6 a sandwich and you get what you pay for! Their famous frozen custard is super creamy and they have a different special everyday(and cool flavors too!) Cheese curds are the only side in my opinion. It’s like a bag of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses stick chopped into bite sizes pieces and FRIED. Can we say cheese lover HEAVEN?! :-D Not to mention they have a happy hour everyday from 2−4pm. These bad boys are usually $ 3.50 an order but get discounted to $ 2 during happy hour. I ended up getting all of my coworkers hooked on them :)

They served us a shake at the drive up that had the consistency of chocolate milk. I told my wife, never again. Any business serving food in less than great condition has no respect for itself! She stopped there recently and got me a shake – nothing special or «World Famous.» JITB is much better and so are their burgers!

For the money, selection and speed this is a great choice. I ate here a few times when I was working near by and I was never disappointed.

For a fast food burger place, I give this place a 4, though, somewhere between 3.5 and 3.75 is most appropriate. What I had: — Double Butterburger — I thought I was ordering the original Butterburger with cheese, however, I arrived home to find that I had actually purchased this. I would get the original and add cheese. The double patty is too much meat for me, personally. Though, I did enjoy the burger with all of the fixings. — Wisconsin Cheese Curds — very yummy! I recommend always getting these. They are cheap and tasty. Remember to ask for a side of ranch! I’d like to come back and try the Atlantic Cod sandwich(or something like that) and their ice cream.

Last weekend we were served at registered 2@1159A. Our order was exactly as requested. Culvers is 20 miles +away so we rarely stop in. Not only was the food hot and delicious it was delivered to our table with yet another employee with a great attitude. I spoke with the manager and expressed that I had never experienced such great customer service and positive attitudes, at a fast food restaurant. We also had ice cream which was delicious. We ordered it after we ate so it was fresh and not melted. They have a flavor of the day that changes every day they are open for business. When I told the young man that was helping us order that we were not frequent visitors due to distance he offered me a sample right away and told me it was something that was not to be missed while we were there. He was absolutely right! Culvers leaders!!! One request! Please add walleye to the menu year round. We were told that it invariably runs out well before Easter because it is so popular! This is a Wisconsin-based company so that is how they get the freshest walleye products! We tried the Atlantic cod fish sandwiches, the broccoli cheese soup, the cheese curds(from Wisconsin as well) and last but certainly not least their fabulous frozen custard. You will find a better fish sandwich in town. It was a large fillet of cod, White and flaky flesh, Fried to perfection with very little better. The sandwich his freshly shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, and their own tartar sauce made it delectable! And it was on a bun that reminded me of a Kaiser roll. Can you say Yum??? The cheese curds were exactly that, cheesy with enough substance that they were chewy in the best kind of way. The broccoli cheddar soup was creamy, hot and delicious. I think I better stop now is thinking about all this is making me want to rush back! I really encourage you to try Culvers-there are two locations in town one for the Southerners and one for the Northerners. You can’t go wrong!!!

OK so we have driven all over town looking for a SHAMROCKSHAKE and we found a delicious one here! SO far all the shakes are great! Fries and Cheese curds are awesome. Definetly worth the little extra money for the quality food and service!

I ordered the butter burger snack pack, which included a butter burger(single pattie), french fries, and small drink for $ 4.09 before taxes. The hamburger was very good, as were the french fries, and the price was very reasonable. For desert I got a one-scoop vanilla custard sundae with peanut butter and hershey chocolate flakes. Their sundaes include 2 toppings, and you can choose from vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor-of-the-day frozen custard for the base. The sundae was very good. Everything at Culver’s tasted very good, their employees were all very nice, and the food came out very quickly. Overall, I had a great experience at Culver’s on Braker Lane and highly recommend it.

Great burger chain in central Austin. They are friendly, the food is good, and the drive-thru is fast. If I had to add one item I loved it would be the cheese curds. They are amazing. Also, they offer bogo coupons upon request which is rad.

We stopped at Culver’s tonight and all 3 of our burgers were not fully cooked. We were disgusted! Not sure we will have the burgers anymore. Very upsetting to bite into red uncooked meat. I think they just hurry too much or the fryers are set too high.

Let me tell you, Culver’s kids meals are the best fast food value I’ve ever seen.(And adults can order them!) For a little more than $ 5, you get your choice of a really good burger/really good chicken tenders/grilled cheese sandwich/etc, a drink, great fries, AND a mini custard with a topping. It’s amazing! My nieces and nephew think it’s the greatest thing ever. For a little extra, you can upgrade to cheese curds for your side, which is totally worth it. I first found out about Culver’s from an internet search that somehow led me to their cheese curds. As soon as I saw that they had an Austin location, I dropped everything and went straight there. The cheese curds alone are worth the trip. What kept me coming back, in addition to the cheese curds, are the amazing kids meal deals, their custard and the butter burgers. Oh, and they have a happy hour Monday — Friday from 2:00 — 5:00 pm during which their cheese curds and custard shakes are only $ 2 each! The staff at this location are so, so dang nice.(MUCH nicer than the south location.) They always go out of their way to be so helpful and sweet. And their patio is dog friendly, which I love. Even when my dog puked all over their dog friendly patio, the super sweet staff didn’t even blink and helped me clean it up. Lastly, I also love their support of farmers and how the kids meal bags have little informative tidbits about farmers on them.

WOW! Great tasting food at a reasonable price. O.K., never heard of this place till we got some coupons in the mail. Menu items that were advertised(burgers, fish and chicken– and desserts) looked appealing, so the wife and I decided to try it out that night. Glad we did. Friendly employees, nice interior décor, comfortable setting. Wife had the cod sandwich, I had double cheeseburger(coupon special — buy one, get one free) and a medium chocolate malt. Best malt ever — better than Braums, DQ, and other places. My wife enjoyed her cod sandwich, — not to oily and good tasting. My burger was also very tasty — could only eat one — took the other home. Tried my best to make room for dessert– hot fudge sundae. Interesting, that they use frozen custard instead of ice cream. Makes for a sweeter taste. Definitely coming back to try other menu items.

Just not great at all. For a $ 9 hamburger meal this just didn’t live up to the price. Nothing bad about it. Just nothing good either. The bacon looked precooked then reheated, it was floppy and thin. I would suggest a sonic burger or top notch any day. This meal was worth maybe $ 5

My review is about the ice cream… which You can never go wrong with the ice cream here, they have the best ice cream period! Every time I go I pick The flavor of the day and it never disappoints! But if you want to play it safe the vanilla and the chocolate are both great w/sprinkles! The price is great for a mini cup, $ 3, you get a decent size cup enough to fill that sweet tooth, and way bigger than Amy’s. The drive-thru moves quickly as long as some idiot in front of you doesn’t decide to order for a family 8+!

No good. Had it in Wisconsin as a kid. I wanted to share that memory with my kids here in Austin. No, just greasy food. Mediocre at best for fast food. Do yourself a favor and just hit up local fast food.

Gluten free gluten-free Ok, that satisfies the search tags so here is the qualitative. They now have gluten free buns. They cost you a couple bucks more as you would expect. The funny part is how they serve it. They fix your burger without a bun and nuke this relatively fluffy GF bun in a sealed plastic bag that you get to open so you can assemble your burger yourself. «Some assembly required» keeps replaying in my head for some reason. «yea ok dagummit how is it?!»(Yoda voice) impatient you are, young pattiewan. Make me slap you, do not. The GF bun is above expectation for a fast food burger place. Fairly fluffy and not as dense or fragile as others I’ve had around town. I have no clue what kind of toxic sludge was used to make them that way so if I grow an extra nostril I’ll know why. Gluten free doesn’t mean healthy, in the US it just means less than 20ppm of gluten in your foodstuff. The burgers themselves are going to depend on which of the many burgers you order and if you eat like cookie monster or are a food snob. My double bacon was decent, though the patties are on the smallish side so a triple would have provided closer to the amount of protein I was looking for because I want to be huge like Ahnold. I can tell you my burger craving wasn’t quite satisfied so it’s really only a 3 star food review, but I’m giving them 4 for being good enough to carry GF buns and the servers were actually nice. Therefore, if you’re getting dragged to Culver’s by the evil gluten eaters you can go and partake without immediately dying from gluten poisoning. It will probably be from getting hit by a bus because you were reading this on your phone and not watching where you were walking.

My husband and I come here often. We love the butter burgers, especially with bacon. The cheese curds are delicious little nuggets of deep fried cheesy goodness. Did I mention the crispy, sweet, golden onion rings?! And… The custard! The plain vanilla and chocolate custards are creamy and just amazing. Their creative flavors of the day are terrific. This particular visit, the flavor of the day was chocolate covered banana. I just HAD to have some, in a hot fudge sundae of course. It’s very convenient to get their flavor of the day calendar. I don’t ever want to miss my favorites. My entire family loves coming to the car shows they have once a month. It’s a great show, with a chance to get some delicious burgers and a great custard dessert.

Culver’s to me is like your first grade-school girlfriend… (Or, for me, middle-school… Ok… Technically the summer after eighth grade. But I went to Catholic school, and was awkward and socially repressed. So, when she reached over and grabbed my hand, while we were in a darkened theater watching E.T., The Extra-Terrestrial, I… Wait. What was I talking about?) The first time you hold hands seems magical, and stops your breath. A few years(and a few girlfriends) later, you realize you were attracted by surface niceties(or by the fact that you finally found one person who would actually let you hold their hand), but not the substance that keeps you coming back for more. It is a consistent place… Every time I go, the friendly staff is the same. The burgers and fries are the same. Nothing terrible, but nothing exciting either. At some point, I stopped even bothering with the fries because I wanted to «save the calories» for a shake/concrete instead. I realize when I stopped by the other day, that I still like the«cookie dough» shake, but mostly the cookie dough pieces I pick out of it. I’m not in love with the custard itself. Instead I’d rather get my frozen creamy goodness at a local froyo shop(I still need to try the frozen custard at the Rita’s near work, to see if it’s as good as the Rita’s on the Drag). And I’m still pretty sure I don’t understand the draw of the«cheese curds», which just seemed like mini run-of-the-mill cheese sticks(even served with a marinara«dipping sauce»). Culver’s: It’s still occasionally fun to reminisce. And you’ll always be the first frozen custard I ever dated… errr… tasted(well, that sounded better in my head before I typed it). And I sometimes wonder if that’s you I saw at the mall, loading your kids into the minivan… But, I’m very happy with the choices I’ve made, without you…

I came here for the first time because I got some coupons in the mail and it’s the first time I really thought about it. It’s located in the industrial sector off of braker so it was a little hard to find. Walking into the place and the smell hits you and I know what you are thinking it smells disgusting but oh no it smells delicious!!! The smell of burgers and delicious food hits you right away!!! I stare at the menu and the menu is huge and everything looks delicious!!! I ended up with the butter burger with bacon and chili cheese fries and I order a side of cheese curds. Everything was made fresh to order so it was nice fresh and hot!!! I didn’t get to try and of the desserts but by the looks of things it looks delicious and they have a flavor of the day so that’s always fun. I will definitely have to try a dessert next time I’m there. 4 stars because it was so hard to find and the interior could use a bit of a remodel but the food will keep me coming back after this being my first fix!!!
