The place has a modern and relaxing theme. Food was average for a hotel restaurant. Service was good, but no sweet tea… Come on its Texas…

We made a reservation almost a month ago for my fiancées birthday celebration. I have the exact date and time in my phone. When I called, I spoke with the hotel line. They asked me if I was wanting a private room or just tables in the main dining room. I asked just to have seating for 20 guests around each other. They transferred me to the Urban restaurant line and I left a message with my name, phone number and reservation information. The night of the party, one of my fiancées clients stopped by and dropped balloons at the restaurant since she couldn’t make the dinner. The staff told her that there was no reservation, so she immediately called me. I called over, and after them telling me that they didn’t have the reservation, they said that they could still put some tables together for us in a private room, but we would not be able to order off of the full menu. We would only get to order off of a smaller menu. We walked over from Punchbowl Social where we had all met before dinner, and when we walked in, we stood at the door for around 5 minutes without being greeted. A server walked up and sat a couple with a reservation that walked in after us and didn’t even look in our direction. We waited for a couple more minutes before another server walked up and pointed us in the direction of our table. I asked for the manager while the rest of the guests sat down at the table. After a couple of minutes, the server came back and said that she couldn’t find him. We knew he was in the office because we just got off the phone with him not 10 minutes before. When he finally came out, we began the conversation letting him know about our disappointment in the situation, gave him the date and time that the reservation was made and even told him that no one greeted us when we came in. At that point, he rudely cut us off to explain his side. He claimed that they returned the call and left a message, however, I have all of my voicemails in my phone still, and there was no message left. So, they just didn’t make the reservation for us. Instead of continuing to argue with him since we clearly weren’t going to see eye to eye, we just sat down at the table. One of the servers came to take our orders and didn’t ask us if we were going to be on separate checks or all together. The manager brought the tray of drinks out, sat it on a back table and then walked out. We had to wait for the server to come back and pass them out. She didn’t remember who ordered what drinks, so she had to ask each person what they ordered. The shorter menu didn’t have much from the main menu, so it was difficult for some guests. They ended up letting us order some of us order from the main menu. Thank goodness. The only redeeming thing that I can say is the drinks were made well and the other server, Hanna, was very nice and was trying to make the best of the situation. As a service industry professional, I think that The customer service was lacking and the manager seemed to want to blame sure that we were aware that it was our mistake instead of just apologizing and remedying the situation.

Went there looking for a convenient meal while staying at the Westin. Average at best. Nothing special.

Yeah, it’s a hotel restaurant so you cannot ask for much. The food is decent and the ambiance is better than you’d expect in a hotel restaurant. Having said that, it is overpriced and the menu is very limited. In walking distance there are many many better options, with better food, better ambiance, better wine list, larger menus and cheaper prices. I live right across the street from this place so I know the area and the choices. Sometimes when I am in a strange town and I am tired I chose the restaurant of the hotel. Well, in this case I would recommend you walk 5 minutes to get to a much better choice.

I had the salmon and my wife had the meatloaf. Both were very good. The wait staff was friendly and helpful.

I would of given it 4, maybe 5 stars but the service was painfully slow. And it wasn’t even crowded. The food was actually great but idk if it’s worth the wait.

Surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. Crispy Brussels as appetizer were heavenly. I ordered the Kale and Salmon salad. Salmon was grilled perfectly. The lemon dressing paired very well. My husband enjoyed the beef/lamb meatloaf. The only underwhelming dish was my son’s pork belly pasta. The pasta was lovely and fresh made, but the sauce was bland.

Updating my initial review where I gave these place all 5 stars. Unfortunately during the last couple of visits I was pretty disappointed with both the service level and food. The 30+ dollar fillet mignon stake was very hard and I had the impression they just used another cut or the meat was not fresh. Also, as a person who lives in the domain I was supposed to be provided a discount which they decided to stop at some point. This is not true according to the IMT properties advertising posters. Definitely something changed for the worse.

Just had a great omelette here. I asked for salsa and was vey pleasantly surprised by an amazing pico de gallo made fresh with some small bits of fruit in it. Great atmosphere too. I will be back for dinner sometime.

Tucked inside the Westin, Urban is a super«fetch» restaurant to grab a couple of drinks and have a good meal. Atmosphere– When I walked in, I really liked the earthy yet modern feel of the décor. Our server was super friendly and always had a smile on her face. She asked if we’d like to partake in their brunch happy hour, but we politely declined and took some fresh OJ and coke.(We’ll be back some other time to drink though, for sure :) It was nice that they had a kid’s menu complete with crayons to keep the little one occupied(even though she was stuck on my iPhone doing her Frozen puzzle: P). We ended up ordering shrimp & avocado to start, fire grilled salmon, and the seared ahi. Shrimp & Avocado– This was the perfect start to our meal– there were robust flavors and a very surprise cameo appearance from watermelon. The mango salsa had bits of cilantro, onion, great big pieces of shrimp, and such juicy bites of watermelon! Great little flavor combo. Fire Grilled Salmon– The salmon was grilled absolutely perfect, and the seasoning and flavors were on point. I loved the arugula on top, but what I really appreciated was the quinoa. I couldn’t get over how flavorful it was, and paired with the grilled salmon created the perfect meal :) Presentation was nice too. Sesame Seed Seared Ahi– The bf got this dish and I was surprised when it came out because he’s actually not a big salad fan, and that’s what this dish consisted mainly of– seared ahi and a salad. I tried his meal and although I personally am not a fan of sesame seed, I can see why these flavors go together. The summer salad with strawberries was a refreshing counterpart to the ahi tuna. All in all, no complaints here. Great ambiance and décor, great service, and delicious food.

We had a work conference dinner here with 17 people. Somehow they didn’t have our reservation, but there was hardly anyone there, so they were able to seat us all together. The menu has a definite, almost painful, hipster, «urban» vibe, but there were lots of interesting sounding dishes. Even with that, I chose the pretty straight forward Cold Smoked Filet Mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The potatoes and garlic green beans that came with it were equally tasty, and I cleaned my plate. If there was any criticism, it was all slightly on the greasy side. My dining companions surrounding me all also very much enjoyed their meals. If you are in the area or staying at the Westin where this is located, I would recommend.

They changed the menu and the once amazing crème brûlée French toast is now bland. We used to come here for brunch almost every Sunday but after being away, traveling for a few weeks, our favorite brunch spot is now our old favorite brunch spot.

This was for the breakfast experience I had the two days I stayed here — service was absolutely amazing — a team effort. They had fresh mixed berry parfait, oatmeal station, typically a specialty scramble(like Migas, pulled pork scramble, or the like) they also have your more traditional breakfast items like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Pro Tip– they also make fresh omelettes(if you order egg white they include fresh cut avacado) you can also ask for 1 – 3 eggs not scrambled. Also included is pancakes(blueberry, banana pecan, you call the shots) waffles and French toast… This is all included in the breakfast bar. Is that not a great deal or what?!

Very tasty menu from steaks to chicken with dumplings. The dumplings were gnocchis! They have a great app with watermelon, mangos, shrimp and avocado. One of my favorite apps! Corn chowder was delicious as was the pecan pie. You must visit this place.

I was very pleased with a not hotel restuarant? I’m sure it had to be a hotel resturant because well … It is like connected to the Westin. Anywho lets talk about atmospher, service, and food. The atmosphere is split into two version, you have the lounge vibe which I experienced for dinner. Live bands/performer every night, tons of tv, with a bar within reach. The service was excellent, we had the same waitress both nights and she was a amazing. Food was prepped as requested and the refills kept coming. The best thing about the steak dish was the mashed potatoes, they were so whipped and fluffy(no gravy needed) I wasn’t a big fan of bacon brownie, but the bread pudding was so big, light, and not overwhelmingly sweet which was complimented with the Amy’s strawberry ice cream. Then there is the restaurant feel which I had for breakfast BUFFET! There wasn’t a large selection for what you would expect to be paying for. They made amazing large pancakes, and loaded up the french toast and waffles with tons of berries. Go for pancakes, then waffles, skip the french toast(may have been undercooked in some pieces of my toast)

Apparently, it has been quite a while since I dined here. This year, due to unforeseen circumstances, we needed to go out for Thanksgiving Dinner, instead of making it at home. A few weeks ago, I did do Fakesgiving and it was fantastic. So for actual Thanksgiving, I hopped on Open Table to see who was taking reservations and doing a holiday meal. There were a lot of choices — but we chose Urban because it was close, we had been here before, it was ok, it didn’t have a weird hoity toity menu like some places were doing, and we figured it would be quieter than most places. So, we came in and were greeted by the host who took the time to explain that they had both a holiday menu and a regular menu and that they were out of their holiday menu soup, as well as their holiday menu ham. No biggie. We are then seated — at a rather large table for four people, but oh well. And here’s where the weirdness started. Our waitress, who yes, was totally nice and at some points spot on with service… was oddly slow at getting things going. We were left looking over our menus for a while — and during that time, we figured out that 1) two of us got lunch menus instead of dinner menus and 2) there’s no holiday menu. She finally takes our drink orders and we ask about the holiday menu because we figure. oh its something they’re just verbally doing, like specials. No… actually they were only really doing their holiday menu until 5pm,(our reservation was at 6). So… the host screwed up, and Open Table made no mention of this as well, which is probably Urban’s fault for lack of information. She then says that they still have most of the items and goes and gets the actual holiday menu for us and says that we can order from them. So, the kitchen didn’t stop serving it at 5? Because we’re still seeing turkey plates rolling out… I’m so confused. Anyways.two of us decided on the turkey plates, and two of us decided to order off of the regular menu. And as far as the food goes, everything was fantastic. The turkey plates were a conglomerate of turkey, a cube of stuffing in the middle, small sweet potatoes, a cranberry sauce and gravy sauce on top, with a bed of mashed potatoes. really awesome and beautifully plated. My drink, the Urban Legend, was so good that I had two. It was like an Orange Julius with alcohol. And I never do that. The pecan pie dessert with Amy’s vanilla ice cream I had was also really good. So beyond the weird mix up at the beginning, which I’m still not sure wasn’t a cover up for the host just forgetting to give us the holiday menu, we actually had a decent meal. I’m knocking two stars off for the general weirdness and the slow start by our waitress. I probably wouldn’t book Urban again for a holiday meal — but if the service caught up with the chef, this restaurant could be a contender for a five star rating.

I only came here because my girlfriend had a coupon, and honestly, I probably could have done without. I was disappointed that the restaurant was attached to the Westin. It made it seem like it was nothing more than a hotel restaurant, which is what I eventually came to conclude anyway. We ordered the Fireman #4 Fish Tacos and the Kobe Burger, and both dishes were extreme letdowns. I’m not really sure why the Fish Tacos even had the name Fireman #4 in front of them. Not only did I not taste the Fireman #4, but I also really didn’t taste anything. The fish was poorly seasoned that it could only be described as bland. To make things worse, the flour tortillas were cold and stiff, and I absolutely cannot STAND when a taco tortilla is lacking. The Kobe Burger really wasn’t anything more than a burger crafted in mediocrity. It came out more cold than it was hot, and really… meh. The fries, thank goodness, were decent. If you mess up the fries on a $ 15 burger, just close up shop. But then again, they were only decent. Since we had the coupon, we decided to look past the lack of quality in main dishes and went ahead and ordered a dessert. While the desserts actually sounded pretty good, I was nonplussed by the fact that this supposed upscale grill had a dessert menu which items featured outsourced ingredients(e.g. Amy’s ice cream, Nutter Butter) more than their own ingredients. C’mon, guys… We ended up going with the special of the day, which was some sort of Mexican bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. I enjoyed it, but then again, credit is probably more due to Amy’s Ice Creamery than anything Urban came up with. To make things worse, the staff was extremely slow to seat us and to take our order. In general, we had a very subpar waiting experience. Throughout the course of our lunch, our waiter disappeared for extended periods of time, so it was difficult to get refills on our drinks. It got so bad that it wasn’t until his manager came out were we able to have our dishes cleared. Then it was another 5 – 10 minutes before his manager came back to ask if we wanted any dessert. I went ahead and asked for the check as soon as I ordered the dessert to avoid another lengthy wait on our vanishing waiter. It’s not poison, but it really wasn’t worth the trouble driving up there. If I had another coupon, I think I’d rather let it expire. Most likely not coming back.

We were just about the only customers there on a Sunday, though it was fairly early(around 6 p.m.). Service was fine, atmosphere was fine … Nothing knocked our socks off, and since we don’t really like the vibe at the Domain, we probably won’t go back. The highlight: My «Forager» pizza(topped with with apples, pears, gorgonzola, pecans and sundried tomatoes). We also had the«carbonara» pasta(chicken, bacon and mushrooms tossed in a white sauce). We had some appetizers and desserts, but nothing all that memorable. And at nearly $ 30 an entrée, we just don’t really see any reason to come back, given the number of restaurants in town doing amazing things at these price points or cheaper.

Had a lovely pre-Anniversary dinner with our groupon here. Service was decent, restaurant is pretty. The menu seems to have changed, or so we heard, and choices are slightly limited. Also, they didn’t have the mussels with the bread bowl appetizer. Instead, we enjoyed the brisket mac n cheese. It was good but not fantastic. Surprisingly, the Forager pizza was the star. It had a mix of cheeses, asparagus, mushrooms, arugula, and more and the crust was flaky to perfection. The scallops were delicious but the whole dish just tasted a lot like butter. It was nice to dip the pizza into though. Haha. Overall, I would return for happy hour or with another groupon.

Urban has a nice outdoor seating area with comfy couches and coffee tables or regular tables with chairs. You’re welcome to bring your puppy to the patio and the servers have always been super friendly and welcoming to my pup. The happy hour is reasonable. Everything in orange on the bar menu is half off. With the discount, that’s a handful of $ 5 cocktails, $ 3 drafts, and appetizers ranging $ 4-$ 7. My recommendations — Mac & Cheese includes smoked brisket and green chiles. Very creamy and rich. YUMMY!!! The Kobe burger is cooked perfectly and is only $ 7 for happy hour! The burger comes with a side of truffle fries. By far the best deal on the menu. Two bite BLT includes a crispy and tasty braised pork belly.
