We had breakfast here, and I guess it was okay. Its okay typical American breakfast. They offer continental breakfast, but I think onlly to total rewards members, of which we were not. I had their steak and eggs while the BF had am omelet with a short stack. My steak didn’t have a nice sear on it like a good steak would, but it was edible. Everything else was just. okay. The price is pretty reasonable for breakfast, too.

Well typically I enjoy the House of Blues food and atmosphere but this place was awful. Our waiter was polite and helpful but the food was some of the worst I’ve ever had. The shrimp were overcooked and had the texture of a car tire and the pasta dish my wife got was bland and tasteless(oh yeah with more rubber shrimp). I got the open faced turkey platter and lets just say if they offered it to me for free I wouldn’t eat it again. I told our waiter how bad the food was and he was apologetic and offered us free desert but we declined because it was literally that bad. Save yourself the stomach pain and money and go anywhere but here for food. If you want to have drinks then your fine.

Menu changes a couple times a year. Food is good and they take food vouchers 1:1. The lobster Mac and cheese is good, local scallops and jambalaya were great dishes as well. Local blueberry cheesecake and chocolate molten cake were good. There isn’t much if an atmosphere but thats expected bc there are a lot more restaurants. Check out the outside bar — looked pretty cool.

So going in I knew this wasn’t going to be a stellar experience. I only knew this bc I had been there once before. BUT, we were tired, hungry and almost broke at this point so we figured why not. Well it’s got cool decorations so it’s always fun to look at. The food was decent last time and It was good this time as well. The problem with this place is that the service sucked. Also the restaurant is extremely loud. It has an annoying echo to it. The service takes forever and then when you are done eating they try to rush you out to make room for the next person, even though most of the time the place isn’t even close to packed! I needed a cocktail after a long day so this time around I got the Category 5 Hurricane, which was basically a glorified sex on the beach. Which was rum with Cointreau, Pineapple juice, Orange juice, Lime juice, and grenadine topped off with Cruzan Estate dark rum. Tasted good but not that good for $ 12.50. I got the Classic Club with sourdough bread, spicy chipotle mayo, black forest ham, oven-roasted turkey, applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese My boyfriend ordered the mini steak tacos with conti cheese and bruschetta on top. I didn’t like them at all. The steak was chewy and the cheese was bitter and didn’t go along with the tacos. It would have been better with a cheddar or Monterey jack cheese. Also the bruschetta didn’t have much flavor. My bf ended up getting a bacon burger deluxe which he said was just OK. Some of the food there is good but for the most part I get a very commercialized feeling from this place. And for the price we could of had the all you can eat crab leg buffet upstairs!

Mediocre at best. This place was cheaper than most of the other sit down restaurants in the Taj/Showtime so that’s a plus. I ordered a French dip and and the meat was dry and the bread was stale. They don’t have side salads so don’t bother asking. My boyfriend had the juicy Lucy and it was spicy but he seemed to like it. Everything was greasy and took forever to come out. Our waiter was a really nice so he gets a star. I’d rather spend extra or go to Panda Express than come back here.

Cross is in a very convenient location, just before crossing onto the boardwalk. Given the prices, stopping by for appetizers is preferred. Just eat and run. We had sliders. The flavorful pulled pork variety is superior, slow cooked and with citrus slaw. I liked the smoked tomato barbecue sauce. The meatball sliders melt in your mouth, but the spicy kick is an issue. There is no mention of spiciness on the menu. If I was alone, I would have sent them back. I returned for BBQ Chicken Flatbread, an excellent starter. Mozzarella and Cotija cheeses tasted great together, and adding red onion and cilantro really made the app. The barbecue sauce here is even better. Nobody can ever accuse them of serving bland food. My issue is service. Most servers appear to have started when the building opened, adding nada to the festive Atlantic City atmosphere. Deadwood burnouts dominate. On my follow up visit, I was given a bum’s rush the likes of which I have never experienced. The place was over half empty, but she dropped the check right after checking whether I wanted anything else. Then she descended on the cash while I was still getting my things. Dine and dash must be an epidemic here. I knew better than to ask her to elaborate on the texture of Cotija cheese. I will continue to return for the food, at least until I tire of the poor service. These inhospitable sourpusses seem to have forgotten that they are in the hospitality business.

Don’t be fooled by Aarón Sánchez’s face everywhere. If he had anything to do with the menu, it was minimal. I went here looking for lunch on a Saturday. Arrived at about 11:40AM. They were only serving breakfast, but we could wait until 12 for them to serve lunch. I don’t really understand the hard switch over. It wasn’t that busy with people looking for breakfast. We decided to order some breakfast as an appetizer. The breakfast quesadilla was pretty good. The french toast on the other hand was terrible. It tasted like that made it at 7AM and just reheated it to serve it. We then waited for our server to finally reappear to order some lunch. It took about 15 minutes for him to come back to the table after giving us menus. I had the french dip which was just mushy over down beef with melted cheese. It had no flavor at all. Between the service and the quality of food I see no reason to ever go back.

Terrible service and the food was just OK. took almost a half hour for appetizers to come out. I would not come back here. Also, this restaurant is labeled as creole/cajun. however there were only 1 or 2 items on the menu that were creole/cajun and that was the entire reason why we wanted to eat there.

I have stayed at Showboat multiple times and eaten in the old House of Blues restaurant which is now the Crossroads. Okay, I have to admit I was lured in by the promise of Food Network’s Aron Sanchez’s newer menu. And unlike a like of other reviewers I thought the food was very good. Shrimp and grits, lobster mac and cheese, turkey burgers. Full bar, decent beer selections. The place was very busy on this Saturday night last spring when I ate there. Service was a tad slow. Get a reservation or you may be waiting a long time to get a seat. Had a reservation and table was ready, walked right in!

I was staying at Showboat and decided to give this place a shot for a late lunch since most of the restaurants are closed for lunch. I was a little scared since it got such horrible reviews but I have to say the food was good. I had the huevos rancheros and my also got to tried the breakfast quesadillas. Both were good but what made the whole meal was the tomatillo sauce they give you on the side. This sauce was so delicious it was a little tangy and full of flavor.

Disgusting food, don’t eat there. My husband ordered a California burger with American cheese and the burger came out without the cheese. He told the waiter he wanted a cheeseburger and the waiter said he would go get some cheese to put on top. My husband told him he wanted a new burger with melted cheese not just a slice on top. It really didn’t matter because when he got his burger it was so dry and had a funny taste to it. I had a chicken sandwich which was gross. We booked our room at Showboat because the bar at Crossroads usually plays good music. There was no music playing so my husband asked the bartender to please put on some music. We were sorry he did because the music was really bad. It was music that 8 year old girls would listen to. I thought it was Crossroads at the House of Blues. Doesn’t that mean some good classic rock and not garbage music? The manager did come over and apologized for the music and offered to pay for our food so luckily we didn’t have to pay for that disgusting meal. He also said we could come back for dinner and it would also be free. Sorry but it was so bad we would not even go back for a free dinner. Wish I would have stayed home and had a good meal somewhere locally.

Pretty decent, but nothing too spectacular. I ordered buffalo wings and the Juicy Lucy burger. The wings were pretty large and the sauce had the perfect amount of heat to it. The burger on the other hand wasn’t so good. The patty itself was dry. It was pretty thick and I am assuming they have a tough time gauging doneness. The fries that accompanied the burger were probably my favorite part of the meal. If you are looking for a cheaper quick bite to eat I would give this place a shot.

It’s pretty much a chain restaurant that serves sub-par food. I guess I like how the menu is designed by some«celebrity chef» but that doesn’t blind the fact that this is a super chain restaurant and you can taste it in their meat. Their menu is all talk. I got the Juicy Lucy Burger(Certified Angus beef and applewood bacon patty stuffed with cheese, topped with crispy pickled jalapeños and chipotle mayo). Was it good? No. The meat was dry/bland, the burger can be best described as ‘unfinishable.’ I wish I got the Lobster Mac and Cheese instead but my friend who did stated that there was 1 – 2 pieces of lobster. Don’t get either of these items here. Basically, I do not recommend coming here ever. This should be your place of last resort when nothing else is open, you’re dying of hunger, and you have a big group of people. They can accommodate any group of people anytime because their restaurant will never be full. I don’t mean to be such a hater – I suppose I have a thing against corporate America chain restaurants. I am not giving this joint 1 star because the service was decent.

My friend and me went and we were extremely happy with our meal and time here. He got the lobster Mac and cheese which he said was filling and delicious, and I got the turkey burger with fries, again it was delicious. We had an excellent waiter too. While we were eating, we noticed 2 other tables return their food and order something else. Both tables ordered ribs and were not happy with them.

This place was horrible. I ordered a burger which was 13 $ plain and each side is an extra dollar. Okay, that’s fair. I got cheese and avocado. Since this place seemed to be pretty swanky and I recognized the big celebrity chef name, I was pretty confident that everything was going to be good. Wrong. The burger itself was dry and tasteless. Actually I’m pretty sure it was a frozen patty. The brioche bun was stale. I was crestfallen. I would have gotten a better burger out in my back yard.

We went here for breakfast before departing for home. The menu had some creativity as K ordered the Huevos Racheros and M ordered the breakfast quesadilla. Both were average tasting breakfast food, but huge portions. We would have given it a 4 for the food – but the service was AWFUL! Our waitress was slow to take our order, the food came out slow, and she barely even checked on us! In addition, she was even slow to get our check!

A coworker and I stopped in here to sit at the bar to kill a few hours before we needed to be somewhere else. Our visit was on a Monday afternoon in May, so it was pretty dead inside. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks. Bartender was attentive to our needs and overall, no complaints. Drinks were good and I received a special of 10% off by checking-in with Unilocal

People pay money for this? This restaurants food is absolutely horrendous! It literally deserves a 0. I had lunch here. I had the ½ prime rib«french dip» with a mixed green salad and a cheese quesadilla appetizer. Everything served was well below par for ANY restaurant, much less a chain. So let’s get to the details: The salad: Actually when I ordered the meal I just wanted a salad with bleu cheese. I’m always on the lookout for a good bleu cheese dressing. As it happens, they only serve two salads, a caesar and a mixed green with balsamic vinegrette, I went with the latter. The mixed greens were fresh, I can at least give them that. The dressing was served on the side in a compote, but I would have sworn it was chocolate mousse. If not for noticing that the salad had no moisture and having to taste the mousse to figure out that it was actually the dressing. It tasted like a vinegrette at least, though to be honest very strong. I should have just opted for the soup. As a side note, my friend thought it was awesome that they served pecans in the salad. The quesadilla: This was the low spot of the meal by far. How do you mess up a quesadilla? Well let me tell you how they did. The tortilla shells were 8 – 10 inches and cut into quarters to be plated. The cheese and mushrooms were limited to be kind, and were all in the middle two inches. That leaves a LOT of empty room where there was nothing but tortilla. The waitress said the sauce had a kick. I’m a spice guy, so the fact that I considered it bland wasn’t a huge surprise. I would have expected some spice though, which I honestly didn’t taste in the least. The french dip: Prime rib? Really? C’mon man! Who are you trying to fool? Maybe three day old prime rib received from the local steakhouse as waste? If that was prime rib I’m the Easter Bunny. Let’s face it, it was roast beef! Not a particularly good roast beef, but roast beef all the same. I would have rather eaten Arby’s. My friend had the pulled pork sliders and liked them, but to be honest they like just about anything! LOL Total bill was $ 45, luckily it was comp’d. If I had to pay for that I would have complained about every course. It was actually a waste of comp dollars! LOL That should say it all!

I went with 5 friends, no one was completely satisfied with their dish. The Pina Colada was good and strong. My Half Rack Baby Back Ribs were bland and way under sauced. I tasted the Buttermilk Fried Chicken also, very, very bland and quite dry. The highlight, for me, were the Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, which I enjoyed, other people found too salty. All-in-all, I wouldn’t go again.

Had lunch here and found the food to be better than I expected. There were not many vegetarian options, but I was happy with my side of fries and Wild Mushroom Quesadilla(Flour tortillas stuffed with a blend of cheeses, poblano chiles, fire roasted red peppers, onions, wild mushrooms and roasted tomatillo salsa). The roasted tomatillo salsa had a nice kick to it, and overall the quesadilla was way better than it usually is at these kinds of places(think Planet Hollywood style restaurant). It’s a little gimmicky, and definitely a casual resort restaurant, but over all I think the Aaron Sanchez(from the show Chopped) menu is good. My guy liked his burger. Our waiter Cotter was very professional and nice.
