Being stuck at the airport because of «unforeseen circumstances» sucks. But sitting at my gate staring at the Popeye’s line moving customers through at lightning speed to get their food and drink was just too enticing. These employees know what their doing and they do it with a smile! I was in and out like a NASCAR Pit Stop! Lol Down side — they didn’t ask me or offer a sauce with my Tender Meal. So my husband had to go get us some.

This was my first visit to a Popeyes. This place was some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, delivered by the Dream Team of chicken. I was stopped for a layover(everyone here is) and didn’t expect much for an airport meal. But the smell from Popeyes was enticing. It smelled like good home cooked food. I mean, who expects that at the airport? Then the service. The girl at the head of the line helped me figure out the menu. The service was fast. The staff is courteous. The guy in the lobby area treated it like a restaurant finding people tables — every table to taken — but cleared the tables quickly, and addressed the customers courteously. The people at the counter had that southern charm, honey. Service was quick. The fried chicken is crazy good. Hot and crispy. I shared a table with another traveler. She, too, commented how the restaurant was packed — they were doing the most business of any restaurant in the terminal. If I got 10 extra minutes to live or another meal at this Popeyes, I might choose Popeyes. Thanks for a great break on a coast to coast trip. The crew here is to be complimented at every link in the chain. Yum.

In a busy Atlanta airport I found something special… Ralph. He is an employee at Popeyes and I don’t know is official role but he is the reason that today’s sales are high. Ralph greets each person in line. Long before they get to the counter to order. Introduces himself and asks if you want to eat in or take out. If you are going to get a table he gets your drink and puts your place setting and drink there for you to get once you order your food. He hustles. He isn’t working for tips but he’s better than any waiter that I have had. He’s personable and in an airport where most of the time you are tired from travels you can only smile and want to be more like Ralph. As I write this I can see him busy cleaning up and turning tables for the next guest. He is your competitive advantage. The food is good… It’s fast food but the experience makes this place a reason to come back. I Hope your management will read this Ralph I was truly impressed.

Rude employees, nasty counters, employees fighting with one another(kitchen help vs counter help) Ordered sausage biscuit — I get this regularly at the free standing Popeye’s. This airport café gave me a biscuit ½ the size that I normally get but charged me double $ 2.19. I understand the rents are off the charts at the airport and I expect to pay higher prices for all food items. That is a given. What I wasn’t expecting was ½ the portion than a normal café. The place was slammed so, I’m quiet sure that no one has complained and that there will be no change in operations due to my little complaint. Nor would I expect them to make changes just for me. This will be my last visit to a Popeye’s.

Had an hour and a half layover. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to get and I saw Popeyes. We were immediately greeted by the staff and it was three of us. They were nice enough to put our tables together so we could sit with each other. The entire crew was really nice to us! Definition of southern hospitality! Oh and FREEWIFI!

Place was packed w long line out into the walkway. Most efficient operation I have seen in an airport. They had a very polite girl taking orders down the line so that by the time you got to the counter they have your order up and you move quickly to the check out. Ralph Reeves was like an air traffic controller getting tables ready for those guests that wanted a place to sit. People were flying though and getting served in a most delightful manner.

They are the most Rude, hard of hearing incompetent individuals I ever met! #1. When working somewhere like this, you should have a poker face(if you ask me). How can the worker get upset because I decide to wait 10 mins for the hot chicken? I’m the one that’s eating it, not you, so it shouldn’t matter to you that I wouldn’t mind waiting. #2. Why, after I wait 10 mins, you decide to mix the chicken with what’s been sitting out there, stir it all up so that you could only know where the old chicken is in the batch and then still give me the old parts? All because your trying to still have the control over whether I get the old vs. the hot… I started to get up and make a big deal out of it but I’m so weak from last night, I didn’t even bother. I know one thing for certain, when in ATL airport I will NEVEREVER eat at this Popeyes again!!!

This place can get pretty busy and crowded. The waiting area can get messy and there are only few tables. This place gets so busy that sometimes there might be no stocks of napkins. There are no sauce at the counter so make sure to ask the cashier when you pay. Nonetheless, their chicken is fresh and tasty. And I often do crave their chicken. It is an affordable dining option at Atlanta airport.

To be fair, I don’t expect to find the pinnacle of the food service industry among the shops in an airport terminal, but I certainly expect a certain level of attentiveness and pleasantness at the very least. The staff here was entirely rude, unhelpful, and combative. They took down the wrong order, refused to correct it once I saw at the register they hadn’t taken it correctly, and were generally brusque throughout the entire experience. The woman at the register never looked at me, the woman at the drink counter actually yelled at me, and the woman taking the order at the beginning of the line could barely respond in sentences more than two or three words. Altogether, I was severely put off by the restaurant, and will never be returning.

Yeah, I know — what do I expect out of fast food in an airport? Ackshually, I expect better. I hope for better. I dream of better. But here we are, in an airport. We gotta eat. If you can find a Fresh to Order, I’d recommend trying that. But if that’s way down in another concourse or whatever, this Popeye’s is a safe choice. The food was better than edible, though, well, let’s leave it at that. The service was … some of the servers were VERY nice, very efficient, even entertaining. But a couple of others were … not. And you have to interact with three or four of them during the food-ordering process. It’s clean, orderly and a good value, though it’s still airport money(you aren’t going to get a cheap meal in an airport, y’all). In this land of low expectations, go there. But dang it — can’t we do better?

Disgusting! I arrived on a delayed flight and thought I’d pick up some dinner on my way to the hotel. I’ve always enjoyed Popeye’s for a quick fried chicken craving but this was terrible. I was about five minutes away when I realized they had poured just as much grease and oil into my bag as food. It had leaked through the bag, onto my jacket, onto my laptop case(and onto my laptop), and stained my shirt. Tip: don’t pour straight up grease into your customer’s to-go bags.

I do like the chicken at Popeye’s, especially the spicy chicken. However, the three piece really should include a breast versus two thighs and a leg or wing. I think that they used to but now charge extra for a breast.

Skip the fried and battered chicken(which is actually quite delicious) and get the chicken breast sandwich. Because everything is already made, it’s a quick assembly line to put your meal in the box, get your drink and take your money. It moves fast. The chicken was moist and tasty, but this one was on a diet. A very small chicken breast on a very small bun. Note that you have to get your own plasticware and napkins. Thankfully, Delta had a cutlery kit because I was not looking forward to eating cole slaw with fingers.

This should be higher but I have cold chickie parts! Ok fried chicken is usually good, even cold. But $ 6.50 for $ 5 meal it better be fresh and hot. The red beans and rice was really good just enough spice. The Cajun rice was a little dry, as in refill your sweet tea twice dry. For airport not bad, not good either, outside airport I’d keep driving.

It was nice to come back from the Dominican Republic to good ol’ American fast food! It was definitely much needed and much appreciated! LOL They’re fast here and chicken comes out piping hot and that skin is oh so crunchy! YUM

Whenever I fly through ATL I go to Popeyes. I am giving it 3 stars because it is fast food. A 3 star rating is the 5 star rating of fast food places. Back to Popeyes: The staff in the ATL branch are always nice and fun and the food is «Popeyes». Good biscuits and chicken.

The personality of the girls here just cracked me up. They’re frantically trying to serve everyone in line, and while they appear hurried and impatient, they mask it with endearing phrases that some may consider insulting. They called me baby & honey in their southern accents… bold spirits, with what I envisioned as all of the idiosyncrasies of Jorjuh folx. Popeye’s is one of those stops that you know is going to make you feel immediately plump, but it is SO hard to resist spicy chicken strips and cajun fries. So hard. The price for food like this — and for a comedic session while in line — is well worth it. Under 8 bucks! In an airport… that’s almost unheard of!

Located in Concourse B, this greasily delicious breakfast option beckons from the top of the escalator, practically begging you to acknowledge that that pack of peanuts and dixie cup of diet coke you’ll get in an hour just won’t be enough. Well, if you decide to give in, don’t be scared away by the long lines. First of all, that’s how you know a spot is good, if all the flight attendants and pilots are willing to wait for it. Secondly, they keep that line moving at a brisk pace. The chicken biscuit is drenched in melted butter product, and comes stuffed with two crispy chicken tenders(spicy or regular). Add in a large diet coke(to watch that girlish figure), and you’ve got breakfast for under $ 6, and at an airport no less!
