Excellent customer service! Food was delicious! But seating is a little uncomfortable and place is really small go early

Yesss! While on a Creole/Cajun craving, we came here one cold day unsure what to expect. Enter a classy little restaurant settled on a corner in College Park. It was fairly empty when we arrived and the staff was very prompt to seat us and get our drink orders, and we’re in general, very attentive. We ended up finally ordering the Cajun Pasta and a bowl of gumbo and a salad. The pasta was absolutely delicious. Lots of flavor and the cooked perfectly. Something I wished I’d had ordered for myself. The gumbo, amazing as well. The salad fresh and crisp. No complaints whatsoever. They have their craft down. Really just a great place to grab some eats with a Cajun flair. The atmosphere here has a date night vibe to it, but is casual enough to just relax and dine. We’ve sadly never managed our way back to the Corner Grille yet since it’s kinda out of the way for us, but hope to remedy that in the future with some more of their Cajun Pasta.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice. The first time I had the cup of gumbo and the salmon brunch plate with spinach and they both were so good. I love gumbo that’s thick and has a dark roux so I was excited to go back a second time. This second time around, I just had a beer and bowl of gumbo but it tasted completely different than the first time. It was watered down and cold so I probably won’t order it again. Overall, the staff is really nice and everything on the entire brunch menu is good, I just wish the gumbo wasn’t a hit or miss.

So good I am sitting here writing my review at the table. The atmosphere, the service and food were all excellent. We dined there for brunch and the food is high quality and reasonably priced. A little gem in College Park.

I’ve been here twice and this is easily one of the best hidden gem brunch spots in Atlanta. We went this time on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait at all! The first time I got the chicken and waffles — which is absolutely AMAZING! And the calamari as an appetizer is actually different but great with the cornmeal breading. This time I went for the shrimp & grits and was amazed just the same. The portions are a good size and the food is fresh and light — not heavy to the point you want to roll yourself out of there, but so delicious. We tried their seasonal apple cider mimosas — another win! My fiancé tried the steak and eggs w/potatoes and was impressed by the cut of meat. Overall, this place is a thumbs up!

I ordered the catfish poboy. Catfish tasted very good. It did not have the fishy tasting at all. The french fries was a little overcooked. The service wasn’t bad either. Over all I would go back to taste a different dish.

This place is locally owned and managed. I was glad to be back in my old, College Park stomping grounds. That place has come a long way in recent years, and it is clear that places like The Corner Grille are a part of the ongoing evolution in that area. It’s also clear that the folks at Corner Grille make their first and foremost goal to ensure their customers go home happy. It seems like they put a lot of pride into that. And that is no small thing. Staff put some real hands-on attention to making sure each customer has a good experience. And someone in the kitchen really knows their craft. This is traditional American cuisine with Cajun influences. My Chicken & Broccoli dish was delicious. A lemon-pepper chicken & broccoli, served with lemon-caper-butter cream sauce. And the broccoli was cooked just right. Healthy and filling. And(of course) I had to sample the gumbo. A chicken, shrimp, and sausage gumbo. Made the right way. Warm and comforting, I’m certainly going to have more of this when I next visit. The atmosphere is inviting and intimate but not pretentious. Service was very attentive. As I said before, everyone wants to make sure you have a good experience. And I’m already looking forward to my next visit there. Holler if you’re coming with.

Im STILL gonna give yall 5 stars even though yall still added sausage to my Cajun Seafood Pasta when I asked nicely not to. *eye roll* I found this place via Unilocal of course and decided to meet some friends visiting from out of town. The plan was to really meet here for brunch but that didn’t work out. I enjoyed the ambiance of this little place that sat on the corner of Main Street. The lights were dim, sort of a romantic, rustic setting. Buuuut the lights may have been a lil too dim because I think I took a couple of bites of the sausage. Anyway, I started off with the Shrimp & Corn fritters. I wasn’t impressed but the pasta made up for that. It was seasoned to perfection! I took a bite of the sausage and wanted to scream but I was hungry and it wasn’t a lot to pick out so I didn’t make a big deal of it. Besides, I didn’t eat much of it because I was full from drinking 3 glasses of water. Hey, I was parched for some reason. I think I stretched my leftovers for 3 days. So serious. I ordered Chicken & Waffles to go for the hubster, The chicken fingers were tempting to try and I dont even eat chicken. They smelled like they were seasoned well. He wasn’t that impressed with the meal but I’m sure it was because it was made to go. I will def be back to try the brunch.

From the outside, this place may not look like much. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot when I reserved a table for Saturday brunch, but I was intrigued by the high rating and the reviews that were singing this place’s praises. There’s a parking lot in the back that was a pleasant surprise since the next two blocks of street parking were full. Was seated quickly and our waitress(unfortunately, I forget her name now) was sweet and remembered my parents from a few days before. The omelets were tasty but light. The chicken and waffle was very good: generous portion of chicken breast, fried but still moist under the layer of fried goodness. And the waffle was slightly sweet and fluffy and the syrup was served warm. I was happy with the food and very pleased with the service. I’d definitely come back if I was in the area.

This was our 2nd trip there. Get the fried chicken and waffles! You won’t be sorry! Best I’ve ever had! I tried and omelette thus last time and while it was still good I wished I got the chicken and waffles. The only thing that bugged us on this second trip there was the waiter. He seemed a bit absent-minded with checking in at the table and we had to flag down other staff to get a few things since he wasnt anywhere to be seen.

What a lovely place! The food was really good. Several items I wanted to try, the creole pasta looked great! All the sandwiches and salads that came out looked very appetizing. The special today was«blackened redfish with a Beurre blanc sauce» that looked quite yummy. We had the Cajun chicken sandwich with coleslaw and cheese burger with onion rings. Both had lots of flavor. The slaw and onion rings were non-traditional, but very tasty. We were very satisfied with our meals.

Saw high reviews on Unilocal while visiting Atlanta and it lived up to its reviews. I had the chef omelet which was a huge portion with chicken, bacon and cheese. So delicious! it came with a side of potatoes. I also tried my friends chicken and waffles and the french toast which were both outstanding. The chicken and waffles was one of the best we have had. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Our waiter was charismatic and welcoming. The only thing was that it did take a while to receive our food. Still the quality and service was worth the wait.

Yes, yes & yaaaaas!!! Definitely a must! I’ve been twice so far and both experiences have been top notch. I highly recommend this place. I’ve tried the french toast, the shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles, the beignets, & the white peach sangria… EVERYTHINGWASGOOD!!! The two«downsides» are the place is small and you have to make a reservation. That may be a good thing if you hate big crowds or unpredictable wait times. I guess you could walk in but with limited seating, its not guaranteed. Its a small hiccup, hence me giving 4 stars rather than 5. I’ll definitely be back!

I’m going to go ahead and give this 5 stars. Upon arrival to Atlanta, my sister made reservations for brunch for all 4 of us. This visit was on Sunday, April 26, 2015. I adore brunch, so this was a perfect idea. We arrived around noon, I believe. We were greeted immediately and seated almost immediately as well. Our server was very patient while we decided on what we wanted to order for food and drink. Once we finally sorted ourselves out(as 2 of us had just flown into town), I ordered the Shrimp Cobb Salad, my nephew ordered the Black & Bleu Burger, my mother ordered the Corner Breakfast and my sister ordered the Cajun Omelet and we had an order of beignets for the table. Everything was delicious. I thought I wasn’t that hungry, but I killed the cobb salad. The perfect amount of food and the dressing was delicious too. Everyone enjoyed their food. If I lived in Atlanta, I would flock to this restaurant. It was a nice restaurant with heavy, dark wood furniture that created a nice ambiance. I can only imagine that dinner would be delicious here as well.

Woke up early to drop off co-workers at the airport and this came up on Unilocal as a gem in the College Park area that I could not pass up. Walked in and was very impressed with the look and feel of the place. Mirrors on the walls with large windows letting all natural light in give it a very nice feeling. The menu, atmosphere and staff all exceeded my expectations. I went with the spicy chicken and shrimp omelette with breakfast potatoes and a biscuit. The potatoes were not all I had hoped for, but the homemade biscuit made up for that and the omelette was good, but not as amazing as I hoped for. The shrimp were tasty but I could not taste the cheese in the omelette, the chickens sausage was good but not as much of it as I expected and the jalapeños on the top were out of a can and not freshly cut like I would have liked. I enjoyed breakfast and cannot wait to come back to try other items on the menu, but for right now it is only a four star restaurant.

After a week in Boston with views of snowy lawns, I needed some girl time, a long walk with my friend’s puppy dogs, and a change of scenery from Gwinnett County. Step 1 — I drove 30 miles away from my typical life radius to East Point and a friend’s new home. 2 — we explored the Jefferson Park neighborhood and I developed an instant crush on the bungalows, cottages, cape cod style homes with lush green lawns and picturesque gardens. Neighbors waved, dogs barked, and several homes offered ‘little free libraries’ where anyone can stop by and select a book to read with the understanding to return another book to the collection. 70 degrees and a gentle breeze. Count me in for the upcoming Jefferson Park tour of homes. 3 — Cardio done. Tummy growling. Off to Main Street in nearby Historic College Park. Wine and Beignets for dinner led us to the Corner Grille, run by Julian and Annette, a couple with links to Louisiana and Texas. The location is historic and was formally St. John Episcopal Church founded in 1906. Cajun influences are sprinkled across the menu. We shared a bleu byrd salad with grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, nuts, and bleu cheese crumbles plus a fried catfish and shrimp entrée with a spicy remoulade sauce and a plate full of fries and fresh slaw. Popular shrimp & grits and chicken & waffles dishes made their way to neighboring tables. The food hit the mark. Flaky catfish and plump shrimp. The breading on the shrimp was thicker than preferred but I guess we can’t go panko every time. Friends, you can hit Buckhead anytime! Affordable and delicious eats are just south of the airport. Great execution from the kitchen and sweet service from Jay(female server) closed out a charming spring night.
