This place has great pizza and calzones, and wonderful customer service. Also the dude with the mohawk… gorge.

Had wonderful pizza and was greated by the owner whom is genuinely invested in his customers and their satisfaction. Would visit this place everyday if I lived closer. This is a great restaurant with great service.

The décor reminds me of a mellow mushroom look a like and the food is similar. Our waitress was nice and efficient and there are plenty of TVs to watch. We split a Greek salad and a meatball ricotta pizza. The salad was good and fresh with plenty of feta. Their Greek dressing is almost identical to the esperanza. The pizza was much better than mellow. Great crust and sauce topped with plenty of ricotta and fresh basil. I really enjoyed it and loved the thinner crust.

We come here for lunch on Saturdays after gymnastics. The place has new ownership, a local family who are all very nice and grateful your business. The pizza is always fresh, tasty, and they have good beer on tap.

Love the Janis sandwich, Greek salad with chicken was excellent and hummus is the perfect appetizer with a large portion!

Yuck. Burnt crust and the sauce is plain tomato paste from a can. Greek salad had little feta and gross dressing. Don’t waste your money.

This was the WORST pizza experience! We have all been eating healthy at work and we decided it was about time to get a nice cheesy pizza. After looking through Unilocal pictures, we decided to get Humble Pie Pizza. HUGEMISTAKE. When I picked up the pizza, I was shocked that it had no cheese on it. I asked him where it was and he said it was there. I went to the car and pulled all the toppings off of one slice and there was not one piece of mozzarella on the entire thing. I called him and he said bring it back in and he would put extra for no charge. How can it be extra if it wasn’t there in the first place? He said that it was under the toppings, so I told him I would like it if he could show me where any cheese was. I’m not stupid, I can tell if there is cheese. I used to work at a pizza joint for 3 years. When I asked him to show me the cheese that was already there he just grabbed it and threw some new cheese on top and cooked it longer. The chicken was super dried and out the crust was a brick once it was done. Plus I was 15 minutes late getting back to work since it wasn’t ready at the time they quoted and him re-cooking the already messed up pizza. I wouldn’t have minded if he would have just admitted that he didn’t put cheese on it. It’s the fact that he lied to my face when the product was right in front of us. Please do not waste your money here like we did!!! We each ate one slice, it was so hard and had NOFLAVOR whatsoever. For having a pizza with tomatoes, chicken, pesto, mushrooms and spinach, you would expect to taste something. After the one slice we couldn’t stomach another bite and threw it away. So 16 dollars down the drain for 2 shitty, flavorless, hard slices of pizza.

Place under new management and the food was great! Service was pretty standard for a pizza place and the owner spent time chatting with us. Was very impressed with the pizzas and salads, tasted great! So good I ate another piece even after I thought I was done and full. :-)

Ordered take out. Pizza was gross. Crust was hard and chewy to the point my jaws hurt. Have us all a bloated feeling. Nothing much to say except that we won’t be having it again.

Pretty cool pizza joint!!! Great Lunch special: 2 slices(any 1 topping) and a beverage $ 5.99 … Tell me what pizza spot you can go to and ask for a bacon pizza and they actually put whole slices of bacon on your pie??? Well, if that’s what you’re looking for then this is where you want to be — lol. What a surprise. Lol. Huge slices, unique in house crust & friendly service. The décor is super cool, very whimsical & fun. The restaurant was clean, but a bit quiet during lunch time. Try the Italian sausage pizza… Its crazy good. –Nice bar area –Limited parking –Lunch Specials –Great service –Good Pizza — I just like the cooks beard — lol -

Some of the best pizza I have ever had. Fresh ingredients, crispy crust and flavorful sauce. Chef went above and beyond to help satisfy our picky 1 year old’s appetite. Also had the best cannoli of my life, filled with gooey chocolate that spills out when you break it open. Will be back… soon! Also should point out that they started serving a new menu late-August of 2015. I never tried the old menu so take that date into consideration when looking reviews.

A fellow Unilocaler, The Irish M. sent me a note to try out this Pizza place. When I read his reviews and saw several positives on the same places we like, we tried it out today for lunch. Waiter was very kind and went over the menu and things they are known for and attentive throughout. The menu was easy to understand, environment was clean and their was a board with lunch specials too. We order slices of pizza so we could each get what we liked as well as garlic bread as an appetizer. The food was served immediately and very hot which is important to me. The ingredients, we both discussed this, all had their own flavors and were very fresh. The green pepper, the meats and cheeses, all made a great blend and did not seem like they had all been sitting under one piece of cellophane all day. Really pleased at how not-greasey this pizza was and not swimming in sauce. Thanks for the recommendation, The Irish M.

My daughter took me and my husband out for a Father’s Day dinner at Humble Pie. We wanted to try someplace different and we were really disappointed. Even though the place was almost empty, the service was terrible and the food was just OK. We ordered pretzel twists as an appetizer that never came out. The waiter finally told us «the dough isn’t rising» just a few minutes after I saw him deliver an order to guests another table who arrived after we did. He didn’t seem very interested in his job and I think he forgot to put the order in. The manager took the pretzels off the bill and gave us a coupon for a future order, but I doubt we’ll return. The white pizza was a mediocre knock-off of Mellow Mushroom, the crust was bland and the chopped salad wasn’t chopped, it was just a salad. When our food came, we had to ask for plates and the waiter never brought them. After waiting more than five minutes watching him wander around to other tables and hang out in the kitchen, my daughter finally went to the counter and got the plates herself. This wasn’t the nice evening out we expected. For the price, we should have gone to Mellow Mushroom instead.

It has been alot of talk about this place, some people like it some dont, the crust and the sauce are phenomenal lads, they have specials everyday, I called for a delivery to my office, down at Deerfield pkwy, I got a Porky sandwich and a rootbeer float, both amazing and for dessert got an order of fresh cannolis, all this brought back good memories from my younger years in New York. Give this place a try, good product, maybe a little different maybe not your usual Alpharetta pizza but, it rocks, what is great too is that they show soccer and rugby(friday and saturdays) matches during the day olé olé olé olé…

Humble Pie Pizza Company, with an interior color palette reminiscent of a McDonald’s Play Place has a bit of an identity crisis. Is this the kind of place mom and dad take little Timmy after his li’l league soccer game, or is it a sports bar where the guys go to grab a beer, a few slices of pizza, and a spot to watch the game(because of the many flatscreens tuned into sports)? Right now, it appears to be more the former over the latter, but that could change. Our waitress clearly didn’t want to be there. Though there were only a handful of occupied tables and a few food servers on shift, ours did the absolute bare minimum to take care of us. We had to ask for everything, rather than have it offered to us first — reactive rather than pro-active. That said, the food was actually decent. I appreciated being able to see into the kitchen and watch the pizza dough being kneaded by hand. We started with the spinach dip which was pretty good(though they initially didn’t give us enough toasted bread to get the job done). For our pizza — which is definitely an Americanized pizzeria style, we went with the buffalo chicken pizza. Yum. I especially liked the crust — slightly chewy, medium thickness, and flavored with parmesan. While I could get behind their food, I can’t get past the goofy décor and sub-par service. Hence, here is a place only worthy of takeout.

We stumbled into this place on our way to a different restaurant. Everything about this place looks like Mellow Mushroom. There are plenty of places to sit, they also have a bit of TV’s around to catch your favorite game on. The staff is very friendly and will help make a recommendation based on your liking. I was overall impressed and will probably try it again sometime. I had the 12″ Humble pesto with half chicken. It was pretty good. Thin dough, not thick, not hard, jussssst right. All of the flavors came together very well and balanced. If you’re a vegetarian, this pizza would be great for you(minus the chicken on the other half).

[TL;DR] everything about this place screams mellow mushroom… but hey, so what? it’s pretty good. it won’t replace my campania or crust, but if i want a thick crust, mellow mushroom-esque pie, this spot is «a-ok.» bottom line is i’ll go back. if you were looking for johnny’s pizza, you’ll probably realize it’s no longer there. in its place, with a renovated interior sits the humble pie pizza company. had a hard time discerning what was humble about it… but i presume it’s for those of us who want to be served a slice of humble pie. :-) THEAMENITIES if you like booth seats, you’ll like the dining area. they’ve got plenty, and they can seat three wide if you cram in. the service was fast, friendly, and attentive — especially for friday at 7pm. it wasn’t packed yet, but maybe they’ll start picking up soon. like the ol’ johnny’s, the have a patio on the side. THESALAD they have a varied selection of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. we ended up going with the large spinach salad and a humble pie pizza. the salad was pretty good. it comes with bacon, onions, and a dressing that tasted suspiciously like the mellow mushroom esperanza. really good. THEPIZZA the humble pie is your basic supreme. the other specialty pizzas all start with the word humble and end with names that are suspiciously like mellow mushroom — pesto, meaty, etc. yeah, same kind of hippie, big lebowski feel. i dig it. they did have something different which i intend to try next time — a meatball pizza with ricotta. our humble pie had toppings piled on. the crust had a nice crispy bottom and a thick edge crust. now, the crust and sauce is where it’s not like mellow mushroom. it’s white flour and lacks that subtle sweetness. it’s still good though. the sauce has a flavor which isn’t overpowering. it pairs well with their crust. PRO-TIP: if you get a thick pizza like the humble pie, ask for it to go a little longer in the oven.
