Love this place for Trivia Night. It is a lot of fun to hang and have a great experience. Pizza is good. However, service can be mediocre. Have had times when I’ve asked for water and they forget to get it. Other times, the waiters don’t come back to check on the table. I understand Trivia Night is going on, but it is still a restaurant and there should still be good service. I have had terrific Greek pizza and wonderful garlic bread.

Being a transplant from the big apple, I like to think I know a little bit about«New York Style» pizza and must say that Ray’s hits the bullseye. I have been here many times over the past 5 years, and they are consistently superb. When Johnny’s was still around, I would have to specify things like light sauce, well done(so the pizza doesn’t flop when you try to fold and pick up to eat)… But you do not have to do that at Ray’s. Their sauce is top notch, as well as the quality of ingredients. I think they just hired some summer time help and by the way the new employees are handling themselves I must say management trains well too! This is my go to spot in Alpharetta for true New York style pizza. I would suggest ordering whole pies as single slices were $ 4.50 for pepperoni. I may have read the menu wrong though. All in all great establishment and amazing pizza.

After a long day of moving our daughter into a new apartment in Alphraretta, it was time for the age-old moving day custom — pizza and beer. Ray’s was the first place I found that delivered to the new place, and still had decent reviews. We ordered two medium pizzas — a speciality Margherita and a regular cheese with sausage and banana peppers. First, the customer service was great… from the order-taker to the delivery driver. Although the estimated wait was 45 minutes to an hour, the order was delivered in around 35 minutes, which is exceptional for what is typically a very busy Saturday night for any decent pizza place. The sausage/pepper pizza was FANTASTIC… everything about it was spot on, from the perfectly crisp crust to the robustly flavorful sauce to the perfectly portioned and delicious cheese/toppings. The quality of the crust and ingredients are the only differentiators when it comes to pizza, and Ray’s hit the mark for sure. Unfortunately, we did have an issue with the Margherita pizza. Most of the toppings and sauce had slid off and largely soaked into the box, so it was pretty much inedible. Admittedly, I probably should have not ordered a pizza with cheese chunks(as opposed to shredded) for delivery. Of course, if this is a known issue, the store should probably not offer it for delivery, or at very least advise customers of the potential problem. I submitted feedback regarding this issue through the website’s customer service form, and received a response extremely quickly. This person offered to either remake the entire order or provide a refund or gift card for the full amount… which to me, completely makes up for the issue since we had ordered more than the one pizza and didn’t go hungry after a long moving day. Let’s face it — no restaurant is perfect… it’s how they resolve any issues that makes or breaks them in my book. All things considered, it was a great experience and the pizza we were able to eat exceeded our expectations. I would strongly recommend Ray’s to anyone seeking a quality pizza… just don’t order the Margherita or other«chunky cheese» pizza unless you’re dining at the restaurant.

My husband kept raving about Ray’s from his days of working in the area and recently I finally got a chance to try it. Truth be told — I totally thought he would be wrong and we’d be eating another knock-off Pizza Hut or some crap. One of these days I’ll learn to trust him. So, needless to say, I was both surprised and happy when we first went there a month ago and it was really quite delicious! The crust is thin and while it wasn’t as crispy as I usually like, it wasn’t soggy either. We ate in, so it was super hot right out of the oven. The flavor was really good(love the Italian sausage with pepperoni and mushrooms) and I even like the crust(we ask for it cooked well-done to get a little extra crisp). Hubby loves the cheese. I like Ray’s so much we’ve been back 3 times since that first visit. My husband is thrilled that he made such a good recommendation and I’m happy to have a place other than Blue Moon(my fave) to visit when I want pizza.

DEFINITELYNEEDSSOMEADJUSTING! My husband ordered a couple of strombolis from here and I don’t know what he ordered but the grease just upstaged everything. There were so greasy that the oil puddled under the stromboli and was being absorbed into the box. One stromboli was supposed to have meatballs while the other was to have sausage and pepperoni but we could not tell them apart. I just gave up and gave them both to my husband. When it comes to a stromboli, I like my veggies sliced and not chopped. I also prefer them to be raw when added so that they aren’t overcooked and still retain color and texture. I prefer a light low-fat cheese to reduce the overall fat and finally I need to have quality low fat and low sodium meats so that I don’t end up with a greasy inedible mess. Normally this experience would rate a two but the dough was very good and I really enjoyed the sauce which balanced out the bite. Also, I am letting my husband take the brunt of the responsibility for this fiasco because he placed the order without checking with me. If you choose to order the stromboli, be careful with those ingredients and go light on the cheese.

Pizza here is very good. I love that you can get it by the slice. The four cheese is to die for. The only down side is when you call, they never get the time quotes correct. I work 10 – 15 minutes away, so when they say it will be ready in 10 minutes I leave right after calling. Both times I ended up sitting and waiting an extra 10 minutes once I got there. It’s frustrating only because then I am late getting back to work. There was a very nice server who went above and beyond and checked me out, since the to-go guy was tied up on the phone for a long time. I didn’t catch his name but appreciated the help.

Came here for lunch yesterday with my boyfriend. The«server» Gisela, failed to mention their specials. We ordered a 14″ pizza and garlic knots. We realized later on that we could’ve ordered the 16″ with the garlic knots for the same price. However, no big deal since the pizza came out so thin and mushy anyway. The boyfriend and I agreed that this was possibly the worst service we’ve ever gotten. The server was on her phone the entire time, sitting down, with her back turned toward us. She never once checked up on us to see how we were doing. We had to wait 10 minutes for our check because she was too busy talking to the other servers, and only came by after they left.

My son and I spotted Ray’s in a little shopping center last week and were intrigued with their lunch specials board. There were 8 or so specials for $ 6.99. It’s rare to get lunch for less than $ 10 anymore so we checked it out. The boy ordered a meat pizza slice and Caesar’s salad. I had the chicken pesto panini and Caesar’s salad. I expected a small side salad so you can imagine the shock when the waitress delivered a dinner plate of salad with a delicious roll! I couldn’t even finish the salad so I took the sandwich home. The sandwich was large, on house-baked foccacia bread with grilled chicken, mozzarella, tomatoes and pesto. Very, very good, even after being refrigerated at home. My son loved the huge slice of meat lovers pizza. We were stuffed with great food for the unbelievable low price of $ 14! Our waitress was super friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back!

I came back after I got a really thin pizza with the manager telling me that this was their«new“‘pizza. Well, I came back after a while and I was very pleased. The small Everything Pizza and the medium Gourmet Vegetable Pizza were both excellent. The veggie pizza is one fable as their choice of veggies works well together and none of the ingredients overpowers, it is great tasting. It also keeps well. I wish they had organic ingredients in the pizzas and salads.

Just stopped in for a couple of beers to pass some time. They have absolutely the coolest beer refrigerator at their bar. It shows it is 28 degrees and has a tv screen built into the glass but you can still see the beer inside! How cool is that? It is just showing bud light commercials though, so that’s not as cool as it could be. I’m thinking hot girls wearing bikinis and drinking bud would be cooler. I did see some pizza that looked good and I’d be all over that if I wasn’t meeting people for dinner soon.

We stayed right across the street from this place. The whole area shut down at about 7−8p on Sunday night and Ray’s came to the rescue! The pizza was delicious and the cannoli was fantastic! Apparently they deliver too, but it wasn’t necessary for us… so if you’re in the Alpharetta area check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Be sure to dine in– if you ask for delivery, be prepared with exact change or use your credit card. On 3 separate occasions I’ve had their delivery guys tell me they don’t carry change. Great racquet when you’re order is $ 11 and you give them a $ 20 and they keep ALL the change. Pizza is good, if you can get it hot.

Not too happy with this one. I ordered delivery tonight, and the pizza really isn’t that great. I can’t tell what it is but there’s something about their pizza that has made me sick multiple times. The second time(tonight) being the last, I refuse to eat here again. and by sick I do NOT mean food poisoning I mean it makes my stomach hurt, never had that experience at any other pizza place. My delivery experience was not good at all. It was an hr and 30 minute wait which according to the manager is the right wait-time due to it being«busy»… only to get a large pepperoni pizza and a small cesar said(which was disgusting), by the way. Lettuce was not fresh at all and I’m not 100% positive it was washed properly because you could taste that nasty dirt taste on it. Just don’t order from here. seriously domino’s has better pizza…

I have been meaning to write this review for a while now and after our latest visit there today, I am finally going to do it! I normally get a Calzone, which is huge, filling, greasy, and delicious. Today; however, I ordered the philly with fries. The bread was good, albeit too much; while the meat was slim pickins. I am used to phillies being comparable to a French dip, as far as stacks of meat, but this was not the case with the philly here. The flavor itself was good, although I thought the cheese unnecessary as it did not add much to the taste. Two of my co-workers got the chicken panini off of specials menu and they were both disappointed at the super thin piece of chicken that was on the sandwich, while the panini bread was overwhelming. We all agreed that we would not go back unless we knew we were going to order pizza or calzones, which is fair, as this is Rays PIZZA. I should have known better to stray from the beaten path, but in an attempt to eat a bit healthier, I tried to pick the lesser of the two evils, calorie wise. Bottom Line: Go for the pizza, Calzone, Salads, or Stromboli. Steer clear of the philly and other sandwiches and you will be in good shape. Giving it three stars as I know it is tasty if you stick with the mainstays.

Top of the list. Great bar food made fresh to order with fresh ingredients everytime! The staff is speedy and friendly. Reminds me of an old college bar, but clean and a grown up version. Diverse menu with all the classics as well as a few surprises. The ambiance give a cozy and comfortable feel and they pipe great soundtracks as you enjoy your dining experience. If you are near, you should give it a try.

The bleu cheese burger was surprisingly pretty good for a pizza joint. Besides the burger and some bleu cheese in it, it came with bread, tomatoes, and white onion(meh). It came with fries, and i wasnt really digging how large and unseasoned the fries were, and at 10 bucks, I think there couldve been a bit more flare. But hey, it was still pretty good. Supreme pizza was also good. It’s definitely a huge thin slice pizza, but i found the dough soggy. I wish they have pre-baked it or have left it on a bit longer because there were no crunch to it at all. It is, however, new york style in a sense that you get to fold the pizza to eat it … or maybe a knife and fork lol. But again, dough was soggy. Now, they were not shy with the toppings though. But again, I feel like the pie couldve used a few more minutes in the oven. Service was nice, but for some reason, they sure couldn’t hear me every time I needed them … my friend had to yell out for me to get their attention. Tuesday is also trivia night, and although there weren’t that many people in there, it took a while for us to get our food, and the place was so so very loud. Yikes. But all in all, it is all-ok.

Greek salad is good & they give you a lot but a simple salad spinner would solve the too wet lettuce issue. I would like to save half but it would be too soggy tomorrow.

Parking will be a struggle during lunch time, let me tell you that. Ambiance is warm. There are TVs on the wall and a bar in the front. If you are on a time crunch, I wouldn’t recommend ordering pizza, since the wait time is 20 – 30 minutes. I ordered the Baja Chicken 10″ personal pizza($ 11), and it was pretty good, if different. It had black beans, chicken, mozzarella, avocados, and green peppers on it. The spiciness of the tomatillo salsa served with the pizza was balanced out with the avocado. Note: it’s harder to eat than their other options since the avocado kept sliding off. Our server, Alex, was helpful, and she checked up on us during our meal. I would come again! They have many other delicious sounding options I would love to try.
