Excellent Chicago thin crust pizza, authentic Vienna beef hot dogs and a friendly staff make Bobby G’s a great Friday night destination. Quite a few micro brews to choose from — even the quintessential low brow Old Style. Get the Ditka for a big juicy Polish! The Italian Beef is also Vienna and considering the distance you would need to go to get a killer Beef, it works. Get it with the guardinere

This was our second visit since early summer 2015. On the first visit, we ordered the thin crust pizza only to be disappointed that it was not just thin, but soooo paper thin that it all fell apart. This past weekend, we gladly considered giving them another try. We ordered the cheesesteak sandwich, the gyro, one slaw dog & the mixed basket of fries/onion rings. The menu calls the cheesesteak a huge sandwich, but it was pretty small & the meat was so dry that it had brittle black edges. After tearing off the edges, I literally choked it down because I was starving & it does take forever to get your food even when there’s only a few customers! The lamb was just as dry. The fries were so overlooked that there was no fluffy potato inside at all & the onion rings crumbled to pieces when you bit into them because they too were overlooked! In all fairness, the slaw dog was great as I was told though. I glanced over at the table across from us to see that they had the thin pizza & all the edges were burnt black! I don’t know what was going on here, but seems all the meals were getting way overcooked, but the basketball game was blasting so maybe that’s what they were watching instead of the food! In any event, sorry, you guys have a great concept here, but you need better management on site & better cooks that will represent your brand better & bring more customers in. You’d certainly make a lot more money. I watch a lot of the show called«The Profit» with Marcus Lemonis. Maybe he can help you guys out. No kidding; he’s the best! I’m so sorry that we probably won’t be back. Before this experience, we were thinking of coming for Super Bowl buffet, but no. Good luck to you.

Good pizza. Much better than the chains and worth the price. The Italian Beef and rings were really good too. I ate way too much.

Disclaimer: if you’re looking for authentic Chicago deep dish pizza this is not your place! We ordered pizza for the first time from here thinking it is. And well it’s like toppings on top of a cracker. Very disappointed

Good Stuff Not only do they have great food, but they will deliver!!! So when I don’t have time to go into the restaurant, we can always place an order and with in 30 minutes, It’s there! I have had so many great things from this place I can’t really name them all. My absolute favorite is the chicken parmesan sandwich(I just got excited by saying the name — yummy). If it sounds fatty, than it sounds about right… breaded chicken breast, soaked in tomato sauce and planted inside a huge buttery bun cover in mozzarella cheese, served with a side of pasta salad(taste like balsamic vingerette and not the Italian stuff)…all very good. The pizza is yummy and the club sandwiches are good(Huge), adding fries can be a bit pricey, but worth it!!! As long as I’m working out in the Alpharetta area, I will continue eating at Bobby G’s at least a couple times a week.

The restaurant gets 5 stars for being all about Chicago. They show mad love for all the sports teams in there. The Italian Beef ehhh. The beef needs to be sliced much thinner. I found it tougher to eat with the thicker cut and the au jus did not have Italian spices in it but flavorful anyway. It is not Al’s #1 beef for sure but the good thing it does not have to be. This is Bobby G’s version. Not too bad.

I came here for lunch and the place was pretty cool looking inside. It has a bunch of Chicago memorabilia and a lot of seating, that’s what gets it 2 stars. It’s been about fifteen minutes since I left Bobby G’s though and all I still taste is the disgusting salty bouillon cube sad excuse for au jus. I came here to get a nice Chicago style Italian beef sandwich with hot peppers. What I received was gross food. The beef was so salty I couldn’t finish it. Which was really disappointing because I was hungry. Even the hot giardiniera sucked it was like they bought really low quality giardiniera and mixed canned jalapeños in with it, subway has better. I dont know this but I am willing to bet the workers there dont even eat the food. My friends hot dog looked pretty good aside from the fact that it didn’t come on a real poppy seed bun. More like a regular bun rolled in poppy seeds after it had already been baked. I won’t be coming back.

I heard pretty good things about this place, so I finally made my way here on a Friday night. There was a decent crowd here… and I noticed that people were eating a variety of different food options. Being a Chicago Native and a foodie, I can be a pretty tough critic sometimes. I absolutely love the décor… it reminded me of Mike’s Chi Eatery, I definitely felt«at home.» Pros: Décor Variety of options on menu Customer service was decent Cons: Fries weren’t good I chose to get the Maxwell Street Polish(deep fried like back home) and specifically said no mustard… what do I see when I get home? Yes, mustard. I noticed the grilled onions that were also on there made the bread pretty soggy :(. I’ll have to try this place again and then update my review. I heard this place gets crazy during football season(Go Bears!)…so I’ll just have to check it out again since I’m a Die Hard Bears Fan!

This place is wonderful. It’s fast-casual with beer and wine. And it has lots of Chicago classics: Italian beef, hot dogs, thin crust pizza(you heard right). In addition there are wings and cheese fries. Salads and the like are available. This is a bit of a sorts bar. But mostly it’s a guilty pleasure that we’re lucky to have.

Pizza is really good, but it’s super thin. Definitely not what most people consider Chicago style.

Came to this place for the first time with the fam and it was pretty good. I thought the pizza was going to be like a silician pizza but it was thin. It caught me off guard but the pizza was still really good and crunchy at the edges. We also had the fried cheese curds which were also really good. The food did take some time and I didn’t mind waiting to eat fresh to order food. The place looks pretty cool and pretty close to what bars look like in the chi town. The people were also pretty nice as well. If your in the area try this place!

Great place if you’re jonesing for an Italian Beef or a Vienna Chicago dog. The place is a zoo during Bears games and I would not come here if you’re not a Bears fan(I am). But otherwise, it’s a great place to grab a seat, get a beer and watch some sports. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is as close to Chicago as you’re going to get this far south. Personally, I always skip the deep dish pizza, though others have said it’s quite good.

My wife is born and raised in Chicago and absolutely loves Bobby G’s! It is a authentic Chicago joint. I recommend the Chicago pizza with Italian beef and Hot peppers ! It’s a great place to watch any Chicago sports teams on TV but you better get there early it fills up fast! The other thing I really like about The restaurant is the owner is always there and engaging with customers really gives it a neighborhood feel.

Came here for lunch one day with my co-workers because they knew I was a Chicago native and tried their«Chicago dog.» It was better than I expected. When you walk in, you can’t help but notice all the Chicago décor. It is mad chaos in there with every inch of the wall covered in «everything Chicago,» but it works for them. They are known to be a «Chicago» eatery in ATL so it makes sense and you can’t help but remember all the Chicago sports stars and history when checking out the wall art. The service here was efficient and decent. Everyone was super friendly and your food is brought to your table. It’s definitely no «Portillo’s» but I was pleased with my «Chicago» dog and crinkle cut fries. It’s a great place to check out during your lunch break if you work in the Alpharetta area because you can definitely make a visit and return within an hour or so. They have a large size patio out front by their front entrance and they’ve got plenty of booths and tables for dining in. You place your order at the front and you’re given a number to take to your table. Good energy at this restaurant and the food is what you’d expect. I also heard that during football season, all the Chicago natives who live in Atlanta gather at Bobby G’s to watch the games so this is spot to visit if you’re interested in meeting other fellow Chicagoans living in the south. I look forward to future visits here when craving a juicy hot dog or Italian beef in the near future.

Bobby’s is THEBEST. I moved here from Chicago two years ago and was so happy to find a place where I can watch my beloved Blackhawks and Bears. It does gets packed with crazy Chicago super fans on game days… and that’s why I love it! I’ve celebrated two Stanley Cup wins here and could’ve sworn I was back home in Chicago. The pizza and Chicago dogs are on point. Pizza is easily one of the best pies in the ATL area. The owner and staff have all become great friends, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. If you are a Chicago transplant, this place is a must visit. And if you’re a native Georgian, this is your opportunity to experience a little bit of the Windy City!

I know it’s The Game. Tonight. Bobby himself stated, let’s have fun, be good to each other and cheer for our Hawkes. The place is packed to the walls, and some idiot patron has decided to play beach ball volleyball in a small, very crowded bar/eatery. Many people’s drinks have been knocked over, and are not happy. This is Not Cool! When I brought this issue to Otto on the mgmt team, he thought it was great and laughed. I am done with this place. I know it’s sports and finals. I come here for the atmosphere, and eats. However, I don’t appreciate having multiple drinks I spent my hard earned money on, spilt and mgmt not giving a damn. It’s not too much to ask to have mgmt provide a save environment to eat and cheer on my sports team. You have left me no choice, but to let you know public ally since my attempt to talk with mgmt were mocked. Not happy former customer.

Portillo’s of Atlanta? Well, maybe not, but close enough. If you’re a Chicago transplant craving that Italian beef this is the spot to go. It is about as close as you will get to the Portillo family vienna beef, and it is damn good. Gotta get it dipped! Plus they have the crinkle fires cooked super crispy just like good ol’ Portillo’s. As many other reviewers have said, this is a little piece of Chicago in Alpharetta. Lots of TV’s, lots of Bears and Hawks memorabilia. But seriously… Italian beef, people. So good. Since it’s right by my current client, I’m here at least every other week!

So, I’m out shopping with the hubby tonight and guess where we end up? Yes, you guessed it. My husband ordered the beef philly with cheese and french fries. I thought his meat looked as if had been sitting around a while and it was too salty. The fries were the cheap krinkle cut fries that you can get out of the Wal-mart freezer. I never thought that I would say this but they were the driest fries I have ever tasted. Weird! I prefer natural fresh fries with the skin on so these just didn’t do it for me. I ordered the wings,(baked with a little ranch on the side). The wings came out very light in color,(like a saltine cracker) and had absolutely no seasoning. I just believe that all foods should have a basic layer of seasoning so that they are able to stand on their own and not rely on the side sauces. These wings were very bland and the sauce was not edible because it was a poor generic brand and I just did not care for the taste. Ranch sauce should either be Hidden Valley or a homemade recipe. Don’t cut corners because your product will suffer. I ordered 6 wings but since these aren’t whole wings, you literally get 3 wings for $ 7. You do the math. My husband’s super salty sandwich with plastic fries was $ 10 . It is agreed, we will not be returning for an encore. Bobby, take a little more pride in your food, think fresh and well-seasoned, not fast and over-priced. All of Chicago is weeping tonight :(

They get a 3 for effort and paraphernalia but please don’t call this place authentic! The gyro meat is from the frozen section at Walmart. The pizza dough came premade too. Vienna beef hot dogs and polishes were this places saving grace. Don’t even get me started on the Italian beef.

My coworkers decided they wanted to try something new for lunch because we always go to Jimmy Johns. The menu here had a lot of options so we picked it. Three of us went to pick up the food and the rest stayed. I was the only one that ordered pizza… and somehow I was the only one disappointed lol. My coworkers had the lamb euro and said it was very good along with my other coworker that ordered hot dogs. I guess I ordered the wrong thing –pizza…but I always hear how Chicago pizza is sooo good. Well my pizza was not appetizing at all… but…since…3 ppl in my dept described their food as amazing I’m more than ready to go back and try something else.
