If you’re looking for family style Mexican this place screams«that’s okay I guess». It has everything: screaming babies, slow staff, watered-down margaritas and more! Seriously, there’s isn’t anything really GREAT about this place other than the fact that it serves mexican. To be fair, the food isn’t bad, it’s often served hot, but it’s pretty hit or miss. In Alpharetta, you have better options.

Chicken fajitas with cheese and mushrooms hits the spot again. Thank you for always being consistently good. I never have complaints about here and one thing about here is I never get a bad piece of chicken. If there is one thing that is a turn off with food it’s a bad piece of chicken and I can order here without worrying about that. This place is worth the drive that I do to eat here. La Parrilla has set the bar so high that I don’t enjoy other Mexican restaurants. It is really just a let down to go any where else. Don’t forget to have Marin wait on you. He pays attention to your table so he knows when you need something before you even have to ask for it. I will be back soon. Good job as usual.

I’m not a huge fan of Mexican cuisine but this place is fantastic! The the food is off the hook, the staff is incredible and the manager stopped by to see if everything was good. This place is the bomb!!! I stop by every Monday night, come on out its worth it!!! The beer is particularly cold tonight, just what I needed!

I’m starting off with Service 1st: Bad not horrible but not attentive. She didn’t ask us for appetizers and went ahead took our drink order, food order and we had to stop her while walking away and ask for a cheese dip. She never came back until after we were half way through our meal. Seemed like she didn’t want to be at work that day. Food: I’m a huge foodie and have traveled throughout Mexico. This place is a nice hang out place to have a drink eat chips and maybe eat something when your starving and it’s the closest thing by. Not typical Mexican food just average EVERYTHING came out of a bag/can type of restaurant.

The rating here is due to the service, and not the food. The food was actually very tasty, and helped save an overall bad experience. We had cheese dip with our chips before our meal was served. Everyone enjoyed their meal. But we had to ask repeatedly for drink refills, sauces, chip refills, etc. Our waitress would disappear and we’d be forced to grab whichever poor server, hostess, etc wandered by our table. We were also seated next to the bar, and there was a football game going on, and the people at the bar were VERY loud, and interrupted our conversations repeatedly. Maybe it was just an off day, but the overall experience was lacking.

Horrible! Service sucked twice here now and it’s the last straw for my family an I. Drinks are never refilled here. $ 8.00 cheese dip Hardens waiting chips food itself is just okay… I heard that«Rio Bravo» an old Atlanta Mexican Restaurant is making a come back, I’ll hold off on this place and wait for the reopen! La Parilla has gone down hill in last year and Corporate is most likely to blame. –New menu: Sucks –New tiny chip basket: Sucks –Atmosphere: Sucks –Service: Sucks –Drinks refilled: Good Luck

This is my favorite spot to grab a drink and get some comfort style mexican food, while visiting from California. They have large and I mean LARGE drinks available and the cheese dip is addictive. Their menu is very inclusive, so vegetarians come on out and party with us. Atmophere is slighly loud and attire is casual. Great staff and great fare!

Real cantina flavor, highly recommend the beef enchiladas verdes covered in queso! Would give it 5 stars if they had a better beer selection.

This is my go to Mexican place. It’s solid food, great service and always busy. It’s not too busy though so you can’t get a table. Good prices too:)

I had the pleasure of having lunch at this location today… The staff was very good. Food came out in a timely manner. Food was served hot and was delicious. The manager(Joaquin) even took time from a busy lunch to stop at my table and introduce himself, to ask how everything was. I will be visiting this location again.

I don’t usually like«True» Mexican Restaurants but I like this one. I order a streak burrito and it tasted good but I just wanted some more options in my sides. I am not much of a Mexican rice and bean eater, I would say I don’t really care for them so the reason for 4 stars. I recommend this restaurant to a person in the Alpharetta highway area and who like Mexican food a little higher up than Chipotle.

Good Mexican joint. You don’t have to wait too long for a table and their staff is very friendly and eager to help you. Great traditional tacos and margaritas. Another great dish is chicken Milanese. The guacamole is very good. The place has a casual ambience and the outside seating is great for spring lunches and dinners.

Service was great, but the steak was very bad. You can tell good steak and bad steak. This was very bad. Seafood was good overall.

Awesome food here! The taco was outstanding as was the tamale. The best was our server, so sweet and motherly with her little pet names for us! I cleaned my plate, which is very unusual for me at most Mexican restaurants because most food is heavy and boring in flavour. I would definitely come here again!

This place gets three stars only because the food is half way decent. The chips and cheese dip is good and the Taco Loco is good if they actually give you chicken instead of a taco shell field with shredded lettuce. I had to send my order back and have them remake it. It literally had no chicken and it was all shredded lettuce. The service is LOUSY!!! We went for Cinco de Mayo during lunch and that was our mistake. But still, we sat there for an hour with water and chips. The young server I think forgot to put our order in. People around us were getting food even though they were seated 30 – 45 mins after we had been sitting there waiting. We finally left because our server and the manager still didn’t know how long it would take for our lunch to be ready. People around us that had been waiting on their food had to put it in Togo boxes as soon as their food arrived to the table. I went today 7⁄13 with a coworker and we got sat immediately which was nice. We ordered cheese dip and thank goodness because 30 mins later we got our chicken salad and a taco loco salad. How long does it to make two salads? Like I said before, I had to send mine back to actually have chicken out on the chicken salad. We waited for our check and finally got up to leave to pay at the front. And our server was standing at the register gabbing away to other servers. SERIOUSLY??? It’s my lunch hour!!! If you are in a hurry don’t go here. If you want to sit back and enjoy your food and have all the time in the world then this place will work. The service is just not up to par!

This review is strictly for the bar and some drinks. Great Spanish music playing in the background. DELICIOUSANDSTRONGMARGARITAS that didn’t break the bank. We also ordered guacamole to go and it rocked. No complaints!

Time & Date of visit: Multiple weekday dinners and weekend lunches. Party Size: 2 – 4 on various visits Location/Ambiance: The parking can get very crowded in the front. Especially with certain front side parking spots reserved for the other neighboring business in the plaza. On weekday lunches, you’ll be parking space stalking a bit even in the back. Dinner time seems to be more spacious. Weekend lunches are more chilled, so there’s plenty of parking. It’s pretty loud, especially around the bar area. Even more so when there is a game on. I try to avoid the lunch rush of 12 – 1, so wait times aren’t so bad after that time frame. Service: Varies, but generally positive. Food/Beverages: Cheese dip: For an appetizer, it’s an ok starter to accompany the free chips and salsa given. Even better if you’re starving. I would say order this if it’s a lunch rush and the place is packed. You might be waiting a bit for the entrée. If your table is cool with it, we like to mix some of the free salsa into the cheese dip. Lunch#2, La Diecisiete, La Veintitres: Most of the lunch specials or the numbered combination entrees are filling due to portion size. The ground beef could be cooked better. It’s usually dry and not flavorful most of the times I have ordered this as the protein. I have yet to try their chicken though. For cheap eats and to be filled, most of the combinations aren’t a bad choice. Though some what bland in flavor. The rice is decent, a bit most times dry. I like to drizzle any of the sauces into it to help give it flavor. Most times the beans have been a meh, plate filler. If you want something more tasty, the Tacos de Asada is usually want my roommate orders and devours. Sopapillas: Portion size, it’s good for sharing. A good balance of the cinnamon sugar keeps this dessert from becoming a sugar rush with a extra glass of water to keep it down. Don’t think you can make this the same by tossing some Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal in with some ice cream. A little more thought went into this. Though the vanilla ice cream is more than likely store bought or possibly Sysco it pairs well. If you have the tummy space, it’s worth a try. Summary: Crazy busy lunch spot even well after the lunch rush around 1−2pm. Decent Americanized tex-mex. Don’t expect anything authentic especially the combination entrees.

It’s your standard chain Mexican restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less. You’ll have some food items that are bad and some that are good. I went on a Saturday evening around 6pm. The restaurant was already packed. Service was friendly and drinks were not watered down so A+ for me!

Had dinner here with a couple friends on Friday for halloween. For starters instead of serving the usual nachos with salsa they prepare Guacamole right at your table, it was so delicious we had to take the rest home. I ordered a Margarita of course which was delightful and decided to get one of the dinner combinations they had, the # 23 which was one beef burrito and one taco with Mexican rice and refried beans, my friends got two orders of the Flautas, both dishes were really tasty and delicious and the prices were very decent. I have to say that our Server was so awesome and funny, she was always checking on us and even helped take a couple pictures of us, it was also her birthday and they sang her happy bday, just all round a great experience with her, she totally rocked and we gave her a pretty nice tip. Definitely need to go back and try their other dishes soon.
