I’ve been ordering takeout and delivery from this China Garden for 15 years now. The quality is always pretty good, especially relative to their prices. If you want gourmet Chinese food, their are other options not too far away, but you will pay for it! They haven’t always been perfect over the years, but I keep ordering from them because they are better and cheaper than every other Chinese place in the area. I like that you can order small or large sized dishes any time of the day, and their lunch specials are a really good value. It isn’t much of a dine in place, but I’d rather get delivery or takeout when ordering Chinese anyways. The chef’s specials such as crispy beef and general tso’s shrimp are really good. Order them with the house special fried rice and you’ve got a damn good meal. The spring rolls are crispy, taste good, and have a few shrimp in them. Get the vege rolls for no shrimp. Just about everything on their menu is good so just try it for yourself!

Awesome! I stopped in for a late lunch, i was the only one dining in which was nice. I ordered the general tso chicken, fried rice, spring roll and a wonton soup to go. so i could eat that as my supper. Let me tell you. when they brought my food out I was blown away. 2 plates! One entirely of chicken and one entirely of rice! Lets just say i ended up eating it for supper as well. I loved the crispiness and tastiness of the spring roll and the best part. the wonton soup. the broth wasnt dark or muggy, super flavorful and there was no mystery meat inside the wonton you could clearly tell what was in it! Im looking forward to coming back again!

The food was very bland as far as the sweet and sour chicken and kung fu chicken were concerned. The vegetable roll, spring roll, and fried rice were food though. Well not recommend this place or go back. Oh and I’m a bland food eater but this was just not tasty at all.

My Experience at this restaurant over the last past few years varies, sometimes the food is fresh and other times I have order and the food would not be as good as it could be. My experience last week was the worst ever. I always order chicken with broccoli, but this night I found hair in my food, so when I called to report my findings in my food the reacting I got was okay, do you want a credit? I said no, I just would like my money back, because at this point I didn’t know if and when I would be ordering back. This is not the first time I found hair in my food from that restaurant. Because I wanted a refund I got attitude from the lady, as if I did something wrong, all of a sudden I was the bad guy. No compassion what so ever from the lady. Most of the time any good restaurant would have apologize and asked what can I do for you. They would have given my money back with no questions asked and given me something on the house for my troubles. So that goes to show all they care about is getting their money and not caring about the customer. I guess if they saw a bug in your food they would still serve it. I will never order from that place ever again. ***POORCUSTOMERSERVICE…

Its not really anything special. My family and I used to order from here all the time but slowly stopped now that we have so many other, higher quality options around. But if you must go, try the Hunan chicken. My brothers used to order the sweet & sour chicken but honestly I think a mcchicken patty has higher quality poultry.

We’ve been regulars here for the past 3 years, always great except for tonight. Eating our usual spring roll order and in it was this piece of glass. I immediately contacted them and they at first seemed confused, I had to keep repeating that it was glass and that I wanted them to know and if by some chance someone broke a glass in the prep area they should clean the area. I was a little put off that I was told that they couldn’t attend to it now and made me feel like I was lying i was offered a credit of free spring rolls next time… I advised that they weren’t taking my concern seriously and we would not be ordering spring rolls again. I understand stuff happens, but glass in the kitchen is a no no and the response is not how it should have been handled. Afraid to eat the rest of our dinner.

Got Moo Shu Pork. Satisfied with dish. Tasted good.(Bound to with all of the Hoisin Sauce I use.) Pancakes(4) were another story. Put into a waxed paper bag that did not close. Ended up with dry and cracked pancake. Boo! I rewrapped the last two in Saran Wrap and added water. Has Saran Wrap gotten so expensive that they can’t use it? The pancakes are one of the best parts of this treat. I also found that prices have gone up; The food has never been all that great anyhow. Hard to know if the Spring Rolls have any problems. I’m having them for breakfast.** BTW, I use flour tortillas when I run out of pancakes. **Greasy — I don’t like them. Filling wasn’t bad. Shrimp visible.

Food tastes fresh, lots of veggies. It’s inexpensive. Large portions can be shared by two. Our favorites are the crispy beef and the and the moo shu pork. It’s very good for the price.

The only Chinese restaurant in the area that has the original chicken wings like NYC and of course the roast pork fried rice…

Delivery was 30 minutes. Spring rolls are delish, very fresh. Chicken lo mein is lacking chicken, but noodles are good, could be more flavorful. Fried rice is good, nothing special. Sweet and sour chicken is also pretty good, nothing amazing. Prices are very affordable.

Is it cheap Chinese food? Yeah. Is the delivery slow if you live miles away? Yeah. This isn’t Peking Duck or FedEx guys! For less than $ 10 for most meals, you need to come back to Earth! I’ve been to so many Chinese takeouts that I lost count long ago. I’m good at math btw. Anyways, this place/location is one of the best I’ve been too. I’ve been to Chinese takeouts in shady areas where the pavement looks like a jackhammer was just used and where the grass never gets cut. I’ve been to other Chinese takeouts that are in fancy neighborhoods but the food is plastic. Then there is China Garden. Not sure what to say about the menu. You’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all — literally. I swear the same dude makes the menu for every Chinese takeout in the nation. I wonder how rich he is lol. The location itself is in a pretty good area that is not brand new, but definitely not old where you are guessing rats and other rodents. A huge plus is that this is right off of base and reputation is everything. Make one soldier sick and you can forget about business from another thousand. For $ 10, you can’t complain. The portions here are great. And I am not talking about getting something like Chicken & Broccoli with just a lot more broccoli. I mean they really pack on the chicken. And for the reviewer comparing this to Panda Express. Wrong! Panda Express cooks a ton of food, lets it sit all day, serves it to you, and you wonder why the food tastes bad. Here, the kitchen is open so you can see they are cooking food around the clock. Everything is made fresh — with exception to maybe the rice. Overall, China Garden is a solid bang for your buck!

China Garden is a standard Chinese takeout food restaurant. Nothing fancy, but the food is pretty good. The meal was cheap and filling. From the time I ordered my General Tso’s lunch special(including rice and a can of soda) and order of fried Crab Rangoon to the point in which I received my order was a little under 10 minutes. That was pretty fast service. The General Tso’s was flavorful and about what I expected. The Crab Rangoon tasted fine, but wasn’t great, and had a slightly off taste, but was otherwise decent. I would order takeout from this restaurant again when in the Kingstowne area.

Decided to stop by, was in the mood for some Chinese food. The inside is small and does not seem pleasant, but nothing I’m surprised with considering it’s a delivery Chinese place. Ordered an order of fried dumplings, small order of double cooked pork, and the lunch special general tsos chicken. The total came to be about $ 20, not bad. The dumplings weren’t very good, the sauce they gave with it made it a whole lot better though. The lunch special general tsos was a good sized portion, but the chicken did not taste very moist or good. Not bad but not good. The double cooked pork was good but it was ¾ vegetables. It was what I expect from Chinese takeout though so whatever. All in all, not bad price and taste. But not good either

Always fresh, always lots to eat and extremely tasty. In my opinion, it’s the best Chinese in the area. Let it be known I have only tried two other Chinese places close by off route 1 and on Belvoir. So there may be better just haven’t tried it. Why, when this place is so great?!

It’s a solid delivery/take-out spot with the usual chinese take-out selections and flavor. I’m a fan of the General Tso’s chicken — it’s not soggy and over syrupy like some places. I also like their Wonton and Egg Drop Soups — some places are bland and this place makes it just right.

Their Chow Fun and beef LoMein are delicious. The Shumai was good as well. My kids only eat beef Lo Mein and they said it was really good so we’ll order from there again. Great place for takeouts.

My only con for this place is that they’re always late delivering. I usually order through Grubhub and it takes an hour or more to deliver my food(I’m 2.5 miles away). Unfortunately, the food is delicious. It hits the spot for that Chinese craving and the ingredients taste fresher than most around the area That’s a big plus for me, so for that they’ll stay as my go-to place.

This is a no frills delivery place. It takes care of that Chinese food craving. I know next to nothing about authentic Chinese food but know that this place is pretty much your standard Americanized fare. Delivery is scary fast!!! They’re on Grubhub which is convenient.

Pretty decent Chinese food in the area. Not the best that I’ve had but it’ll get the job done.
