I have failed you all in that I’ve been more of an «Auntie M» than a «Party M». I rarely go out, and last night was an exception because a good friend from overseas came to visit us so we had to show him a good time! Trace was our second stop for the evening. According to our friend who gave us the hook up, this is truly a local club, and I can confirm that most patrons there were Singaporean. I actually thought the music was a lot better than Kyo(at least for Friday night) because they played more pop/EDM vs weird indie music that no one could dance to. The club itself was pretty clean, and they have some intense laser lights going on which are great for photos. Not sure how much bottle service is but they do celebrate with sparklers. However, there isn’t a dance floor and the layout is mostly tables. If you don’t have one, you’re stuck at the bar, or in the walkway which always puts you in the way of the servers. The reason I give 3 stars is because although the crowd is good looking, young, and smartly dressed, NOONE was dancing! Everyone had their cliques and just hung out at their tables, talking and taking selfies. The music was loud, which to me means they were not going for a lounge feel. Doesn’t this kinda defeat the purpose of going to a club? Tl;dr: clean club with good music, but layout isn’t conducive for dancing and the crowd doesn’t dance, either!
