oh Attica… where to begin? Seems like your reputation precedes you, and after my first visit, rightfully so. To start off, the staff didn’t even know which room the DJ was playing. When I found out finally that it was the other room, I couldn’t take my drink(really? — it’s the same club). Ordering a drink at the bar makes Zouk look like a dream, which is really setting the bar low. I gave up waiting for change as it took over 10 minutes or perhaps that was the goal? It’s a shame because quite a few really good DJs end up here — Paul Oakenfold, Roger Sanchez, to name a couple. But I don’t think i will come here again unless there is a really good DJ. Tip — on the plus side, the re-entry process seems very easy so one idea could be to duck out quickly for shots and then return.

Horrible awful service. Waited in line for about 25 minutes to walk into a club that was grossly over-packed. Are there not occupancy laws in Singapore? Went out for a birthday and there was no way we were going to be able to dance with the birthday girl because of how packed the play was. Took our«free» drink coupons to the bar and asked the bartender if they were good there. After saying yes and taking 10 minutes to get our drinks made he says our drink coupons are no good there yet we HAD to pay for the drinks because he had already made them. After fighting with him and his fellow bartenders Si, Josh, and John we ended up only paying for 2 of the drinks which still cost $ 35. Ridiculous though because we shouldn’t of had to pay for anything.

Wow. If I could rate this place a 0/5, I would. Let me first say this. I am a clubber. I have been to clubs in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, London, Turkey, Beijing, Durham, Shanghai, and the list goes on– I am an avid clubber. I know the ins and outs of the clubbing etiquette, market, rules, etc. Attica has a decent club format. The spacing of the club works well for the area. HOWEVER, the bouncing management is completely terrible and perhaps largely uncultured in how to work a club crowd. Sadly, this has reflected poorly on my views of the Singaporean night life scene. ‘Slippers’ are not permitted here. This means that even the fanciest of what the bouncers can classify as slippers are refused… My Rainbow Flip Flops, $ 165 dollar shoes that are probably more expensive that 80% of the shoes there, prevented me from entry into the club. What is this, the 1920s? But not only were the bouncers uncultured, they also went out of their way to be rude and insult me. One of the bouncers said ‘If you want to come to my club, don’t come in f*cking slippers’ Bottom line, if you’re looking to have a fun night with friends, or a girl’s night, Attica is NOT the place to go.

DONOTGOHERE. TL;DR: The bouncers and staff randomly roughed up or group while we were waiting in line. I went here with a group of friends for a birthday party. We had pretty even guy-girl ratio, and the bouncers let the girls in first, and«promised» that they’d let the guys in at a reduced cost. While we were waiting, the bouncers randomly began to push and shove our group. I don’t know why they did that. Did they just want to maintain some ratio inside, do they tried to repel a group of guys by picking a fight? Whatever their reasons, this reflects very poorly on the club. I would highly advise all of you against ever going to Attica. They bully people around, just ruining everyone’s night.

I am not a fan of being a low baller but i believe one thing, if you provide good services, you be remembered plus you earn yourself a loyalty card. I have been to this place thrice, and each time i step into this club. I feel so uncomfortable, the vibe i get it feels like its a huge conference room for thugs and gang bangers to socialise. The Space So attica is divided into two segments, level 1 usually plays hip hop, with two corner table which are vip tables and a very small dance floor which is good for some people to do their dirty dancing. Level 2 which its attica too, has a bigger space not to mention a bigger dance floor too. Music EDM, nothing much that caught my eyes except for watching out for random punches in the air. Overall there nothing else attracts me to this club to keep me ballin.

Unbelievably REVOLTING. Incredibly AWFUL treatment. I must highly recommend that NO self-respecting woman ever go to this club. This place officially tops my list as the most offensive, rude, club I have ever been to. Not just in southeast asia, but in the world. I went with a group of friends, some of us in heels, some of us not. We were all dressed fairly nice as we’d been at the bars near Orchard just before. The girls had been to Attica before(I hadn’t). We wait in line for awhile, finally reach the bouncers, and they check our IDs. Nothing new there. Then it gets interesting. The bouncer starts looking each of us up and down. His eyes start scrunching up in disgust. He starts shaking his head and muttering«nuh uh, nuh uh» again and again. Finally he gives us a last look of distaste before going to talk to the other bouncers. Then he comes back and says, «I can’t let you in,» and he shoos us away like vermin. Obviously we were confused. At first we thought perhaps it was because not all of us were wearing heels. Well, at that moment the bouncers let in a couple of girls in flats. So, slightly offended at this point, we walked up and asked why we were being shooed away. «You too young,» he stated with another grimace as he immediately turned away. I’m not sure exactly what crowd this club is trying to cater to, but some of the girls and guys walking into this club looked a lot younger than me(I’m 21). Clearly Attica had found something about us repulsive and were giving us the shittiest excuse they could think of. Well, I didn’t find this place quite so revolting until that very moment. Attica, I hope we never meet again. Thank you for completely disgracing yourself as a part of Singapore’s nightlife.

I soooo wanted to give this place a 3. Seriously. It pains me to give places like this less then 3 stars, because I don’t want to come off as some snooty club goer. I know that this is Clarke Quay and not Marina Bay Sands. I understand that I didn’t pay a thing to get in, as my husband’s colleague was gracious enough to buy us a bottle. Hell, this place let me in even though I wasn’t wearing heels! The crowd was okay. I’m in my late 20s, and in the dark most of the girls looked like they were in their early 20s, but it didn’t bother me. And surprisingly, everyone kept to themselves and were not obnoxious. However, I CANNOT forgive the DJ. Maybe I’m cursed, but every time I go clubbing here in SG, I feel like I step into a time machine and arrive in 2007. How hard is it to play music from ATLEAST2013?! I gave him the benefit of the doubt, thinking«Oh, it’s not even midnight yet, maybe he’s warming up.» WRONG. At 1AM, he was playing Marc Anthony’s «I need to know». Um, how old are we? Is it ‘90s night? Are we in a hip club on Friday night or a church party on Saturday night? I tried to take matter into my own hands by typing«Can you play Lil Jon’s Turn Down For What?» into my phone and showing it to the DJ. He looked confused. I walked away with my hopes and dreams crushed. So will I come back? Maybe 7 years from now, after the DJ hears Lil Jon for the first time.

One of the more popular clubs in Clarke Quay. Its always poppin’ during the weekends too. There are 2 levels, each with different music. Drinks aren’t cheap. Tip: Go to Le Noir first, get a stamp and get in before a certain time(I don’t remember what time it was.) Guys will probably have to pay a cover. Getting a taxi when this place closes is a nightmare… you might want to leave a little earlier.

Meh. More trashy than classy. VIP section was way overcrowded. Did not few very VIP to me. There was barely any room to move from the dance floor to the bar. The roomier patio section they had on the ground floor was too smokey. Music was okay, top 40. Probably not my best clubbing experience.

Not too long ago when I had free time and no priorities, Attica was one of the only clubs I frequented. I made it a point to be here every Wednesday and Friday or Saturday. The drinks here are not very cheap and the place is bubbling with models that make me look shorter than I already am. Although the crowd here consists mostly of fashion fanatics or snobbish rich kids, the music is great both downstairs(R&B, Hip Hop, Top 40s) and upstairs(House, Trance, Electro) in Attica Too. My favourite drink here is the Jäger Bomb Special — the traditional Jagermeister-Redbull shot prepared in a tall glass with a shot of vodka. One sets you back by $ 20 but it’s usually enough to get you pumping within an hour, no matter what your mood. I’ve recently stopped coming here despite the good music because the crowd has become noticeably younger than I am, and I don’t like feeling old!

Attica is one of the more established clubs around Clarke Quay. It is quite popular and thus is always packed with people. It has a more ‘international’ mix as compared to many of the other clubs. There’s quite a hyped up atmosphere, and that’s what all people care about actually. The drinks and all doesn’t really matter that much. If you’re hoping for lesser crowd, skip the first floor and go up where it usually plays house music. This is a place where I had one of the better clubbing experiences already.

Attica, also informally known as Sluttica, is a mainstay among the many bars and clubs in Clarke Quay. It’s always crowded, and is popular among white guys, and locals who love white guys(also fondly known as Sarong Party Girls). It’s trashy(but in a good way) and one never leaves the club sober. Sluttica ranks as one of the more known clubs in Singapore — along with Mink and Zouk — and if you’re looking for a delightfully dodgy night out in Singapore, you should definitely check the club out. No guarantees that you’ll get any er, action, but I’m sure you’ll have a good time nonetheless.
