There is a reason why this branch of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is usually empty or half filled. The drinks are really not very good now. I had my usual Moroccan mint tea latte on my first visit and had to send it back as it was so weak it tasted like badly flavored water. It was that diluted. The staff offered to make another one for me. It was still bad and I did not have the heart to tell them so. I went back again when I saw the butter pecan latte and was drawn to it. It was also very weak but not as bad as the previous drink. Either my taste buds have changed from 10+ years ago or the quality of CBTL beverages has dropped drastically or it is only peculiar to this branch. I stopped using my CBTL card a few years ago when I realized I hardly patronize the outlets. Maybe the food will be ok here.

Inside the ION orchard shopping center, this place was crowded so I figured it must be good. Exactly like Starbucks, with very American desserts like Chicago cheesecake. A slice of Tiramisu cake(good but not memorable, lacked Amaretto) and a small coffee set me back S$ 10 but that’s Orchard for you. The coffee was just as unmemorable as the cake. Average. The one thing I liked about the place were all the spice powders like cinnamon, vanilla or hazelnut, so you can flavor your beverage to your heart’s desire. Credit cards accepted.
