When a friend and I arrived at this location ahead of the rest of our party of 6, we were seated at our reserved table, which was one of the few left against the bright red booth seating. It was like an obstacle course to get to it because they crammed way too many tables and chairs in an area that was clearly way too small. Afterwards, whenever we would need to get out for any reason, we jumped their short area barrier instead. It was far less challenging than trying to squeeze yourself between the tables of other patrons. Their coffees and desserts came highly recommended for a friend, but unfortunately, I somehow managed to skip both of those and opted for a tea and a pasta entrée instead. Both of which were decent but nothing extra memorable. Their menu was confusing to look through and study because it being categorized by… blood type. I’ve never seen that before and do not wish for it to ever be a trend anywhere else. I definitely didn’t order what was suggested for mine because none of them sounded appetizing that evening. I think I ended up with something for the A+ blood type. Just like their menu categorization, the restaurant itself seems to just be confused about their identity. If asked, I wouldn’t know how to describe them. And their name is of no help either. Service here was almost laughable. They barely paid any attention to us and everything was done at a very slow pace. Luckily we were a bunch of old friends who hadn’t seen one another in years and spending the time catching up. So the slowness was bearable but still noticeable. I would suggest a try, but it’s certainly not a must.

Service was extremely slow — not sure whether shorthanded or just inefficient, or both. Coffee is really bland and definitely not worth the nearly $ 10 per cup!

TCC at ION Orchard is a great place for people watching. Lots of people pass through this part of the mall. I’ve worked on my laptop here on a number of occasions and wasn’t distracted in any way. I usually take some time to pore over the menu at TCC because there are so many things to choose from. Just drinks alone, you are spoilt for choice with the many variations of coffee beverages from regular coffee to espresso, to ice blended drinks paired with a multitude of ingredients. The service standard at this outlet is consistently good with well-mannered and attentive wait staff.

The Connoisseur Concerto… what does that even mean? It means it’s a fancy pretentious name to attract customers who don’t know how to appreciate coffee and art, but who would like to give of the image that they do. TCC does not offer an extensive range of exclusive top quality coffee or any of those coffee’s brewed to perfection using a syphon, ice coffee dripper etc. etc. They just serve regular coffee in different variety’s, mocha’s etc. The ambience is welcoming though and pretty cosy. The chairs and couches are comfortable and if they would serve better food or don’t ask 15 – 25 sing for a spaghetti but 7 dollars instead, it would not be a bad place to have lunch. True coffee connoisseurs don’t go to a place where they serve ice cream in your coffee. True art lovers don’t go to a pretentious coffee café where they can be seen to appreciate art.
