Bland dishes, poorly trained staff. Went to Kazokutei PS today for lunch and got a nice seat. The place is nicely decorated, but clearly linked to the 3 other Japanese chain casual dining in the area — Ajisen Ramen and two others. Ordered the Kimuchi Noodles and Maki lunch special($ 17.54) and my friend ordered the Chicken Curry Rice($ 14). The dish arrived in minutes — clearly the chef is using pre-cooked food and warming it. My noodles were good, the pork was very good, but the rest was so-so. The maki was absolutely tasteless, and the chef should be embarrassed to send that out. My friend barely touched her chicken, complaining it was too dry. When the server came to clear the tables — he said absolutely nothing about a plate that is 80% uneaten. Holy shitballs, the food must have not met expectations and you don’t care why? Terrible serving staff plus terrible cooks make the money spent here not worth it. Also minus stars for charging for the water and not adding in the service charge and GST to your menu.

I’m not familiar with this chain although their menu says they are a famous noodle shop in Osaka with over 200 stores. They are very proud of their Udon and Soba noodles. They charge quite a premium for the soba noodles. I didn’t think it was anything great. The food here is average, the service is sub-par. I get the sense that the employees here are not very happy and it makes you feel uncomfortable as a patron.
