Sauce — Heavenly. Cheap and served by a nice Chinese couple who seems dedicated to dish out the best beef noodles. They take pride in whatever they do. I love watching them making food.

Al dente thick white rice noodles with tender beef and good chilli, this stall is full of win.
A new tenant at Tiong Bahru market but already making a name for itself (I’m guess it used to be in Joo Chiat and was famous), with a perennial queue, Joo Chiat beef king serves up a delicious bowl of beef noodles. Unlike other beef noodles I’ve had elsewhere, the beef is much less sinewy and easier on your jaw.
Although the level of MSG (monosodium glutamate) in the gravy is suspect, as it is extremely tasty and also that you’ll find yourself very thirsty after eating, I would say this one’s worth it once in a while.
